1 TIMOTHY Chapter 1

Introduction 

Letters to Timothy and Titus, also called bishopric epistles are letters written between A.D 64-66. While 2Timothy was written towards the final days of Paul. He gave charges as to the leadership and order in the local assembly (sections) and warn against false teacher of the law.

Note: 1Tim 5:23; Timothy was a religious abstainer from any kind of wine, the reason for the prescription in the right doses for his stomach upset by Paul, his father in the Lord.

1Tim 1

Preach full gospel of Christ that ended on selfless-Love, and not the law of Moses (vs 5)

1 I, Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the injunction of God and pleasurable-hope in Christ Jesus, our Savior, 

2 Peace with God the FATHER by Mercy and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ unto Timothy (dear to God), a genuine child in Faith:

3 Just as I exhort you to remain in Ephesus, as (you) travel to Macedonia, at least to charge some of the men, never to teach strange things,

4 never to pay attention to tales/myths, and tracing UNFINISHED GENEALOGIES, which bring questions, rather than dispensation of God by Faith.

5 Moreover, the ultimate-end of the message of Faith is sincere/unfeigned-SELFLESS-Love from a clean heart and (from) a good co-perception/consciousness;

6 from which certain persons, have deviated, and have turned away to random/vain discussions, - 

7 - desiring to be teachers of (Moses) law, and neither exercising mind on what they confidently affirm, nor about why it was said.

8 But, we are aware that (Moses) law is virtuous, provided someone legally/lawfully apply it.

Moses law is for the sinful men

9 be aware of this, that (Moses) law is not for the righteous, but for the lawless, who are lying outstretched, even the rebellious, irreverent and sinful ones; the unholy and heathenish/profaned ones, father-threshers, mother-threshers, and men-killers,

10 the prostitutes, homosexuals (weird/queer), enslavers (human traffickers), liars on oath (perjurer), and if there is any other strange things, contrary to sound/healthy teachings.

Paul emphasizes salvation is by highly-increased Grace and love of Jesus to the glory of the INVISIBLE GOD

11 According to the gospel, on which I believed; the GLORY is of the Supremely Blessed GOD, 

12 I have grace to be appointed unto the ministry/service by Jesus Christ our Lord, who EMPOWERED me, and officially lead/DIRECT me to be faithful, 

13 formerly, in unbelieving (state), I was a blasphemer and a persecutor, and abuser/insulter; but I have received mercy, because I did it in ignorance.

14 But, the Grace with SELFLESS-LOVE of the Lord by Faith unto Christ Jesus, highly superabound to me. 

15 it is a trustworthy/faithful account, and worthy of acceptance for everybody, because, Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am  foremost (chief).

16 But, by this reason, Jesus Christ shows a long-patience in having mercy on all and sundry, at least, to me first, towards a pattern for those who will later have Faith upon Him, unto eternal Life.

17 Moreover, the Honor and Glory be to the only GOD, the INVISIBLE,  IMMORTAL/incorruptible, and eternal SOVEREIGN KING, from everlasting to everlasting, Amen.

Serve in the army of Christ with virtuous co-perception of Faith in Christ

18 (My) son, I have committed this messages to you, Timothy; (for), in them are the preceding prophecies upon you, at least, for you to serve (as in a military campaign) according to a virtuous warfare.

19 hold on to Faith and good co-perception concerning Faith; which some people have pushed away and are stranded/shipwrecked ;

20 of whom are, Hymenaeus (god of weddings) and Alexander (man defender), who, have been trained/disciplined at least not to blaspheme, but have surrendered to satan.

1 TIMOTHY Chapter 2

1Tim 2

Pray for all the men, at least for everyone to be in safety

1 First of all, exhort all men on formal request, then, make petitions and oratory prayers on all thing with thanksgiving for the sake of everyone.

2 even for the kings and everybody who are in prominent positions, at least for all the people to lead/live a quiet and undisturbed (sedentary) life, in piety and modesty.

3 this thing is virtuous to our Saviour and acceptable before God; 

4 WHO desires men to be saved, and all to come unto full-discernment of the Truth.

Paul, a preacher of One Jesus and the Reconciler of non-Jewish people to One God. 

5 For, God of men is ONE and Jesus Christ, Who is the Reconciler of men to God is One -

6 Who is Himself a Ransom for all, the testimony/eidence given, by myself, at the proper-time.

7 unto Whom, I am positioned, a Herald/preacher and an Apostle - speaking the Truth and not lying - a Teacher of the Truth and Faith among the Heathen-nations.

Advice for married men to be prayerful

8 The husbands/fellow-men should therefore be willing to make prayer by lifting up hands in places of discussion, for mercy/peace/joy (or all divinely right qualities), without wrath.

Moderation is advised for Married women (1Cor 14:36)

9 And wives likewise, should decorate themselves decent, in repression/being self-subdued amid modesty and sound mind, and not in luxurious/extremely expensive clothing, or plaited/meshed golden or margarite (pink pearly mica mineral) articles;

10 but, wives/women be those who make promise suitable upon Godly-piety, through good works.

11 wives should learn in quietness even in submission to all;

12 however, wives should not dominate over husbands/fellow-men, nor be turned over/be allowed to teach but she should be in quietness;

13 For, Adam was formed/molded first, then Eva (havvah);

14  (as) Adam was seduced, there was no violation but it happened to be, (as) the wife (woman) was wholly-seduced. 

15 but through (their) procreation/giving birth to children, we are to be saved by Faith, in case, we abide in Selfless-Love with purity and sound mind.

1 TIMOTHY Chapter 3

Qualities of Church Leaders 

1 it is a trustworthy/faithful matter, if anyone aspires for the office of a Bishop (Bishopric), he desires a virtuous work.

2 therefore, it is necessary for the bishop to be inculpable, a husband of one wife, sober/sound minded, wise-minded/temperate, decent, hospitable, apt to teach;

3 not a drunken man, not a fighter, not a profiteer but mild/lenient and harmless/non-combatant;

4 one who preside well over his own house; having children who are in submission with all modesty -

5 but, if someone does not know how to preside over his own household, how will he take care of the church of God? -

6 not a novice (young convert/inexperienced), lest he should fall into the judgment of puffing up as devil.

7 Moreover, he must have a good testimony from those outside, lest he should fall into snares and reproach/insult of the devil. 

Qualities of the Deacons/Deaconess

8 Likewise, Deacon should be modest, not ambiguous/ambivalent, not addicted to much wine, not a profiteer/greedy of much gain,

9 who hold on to the mystery of Faith, in pure co-perception.

10 but, even these person, should be tested first; and being blameless, he could then serve.

11 Likewise, (his) wife should be modest/venerable, clear minded, faithful in all things, not of the devil.

12 Deacon should be husband of one wife, who presides well over children of his own household.

13 for, those who serve/minister well, with frankness/boldness unto many people, have acquired good grade/degree for themselves in Faith, in Christ Jesus.

14 having written this (letter) to you, I expect you to come quickly;

15 however, in case, you delay, at least be aware how you must live among the households of God, some of who shall be Pillars for the Church of God in return, even on the basis/ground of the Truth. 

Five things about the acceptable Piety in the newly revealed-mystery of the Gospel, over piety/venerableness in the law of Moses

16 And, admittedly/undeniably, the mega part of the Mystery is PIETY/devotion; which has Manifested among the Flesh, Justified by the SPIRIT, clearly Discerned by Messengers, Proclaimed in the world, Believed within the Heathen-race, and has Taken-over in Glory.

1 TIMOTHY Chapter 4

Wrong teachings are creeping in

1 Moreover, the SPIRIT distinctly speaks, that later in times, certain persons will revolt/depart from Faith, by paying attention to instructions of impostors and spirits of demons.

2 mendacious/untruthful in hypocrisy; become insensitive/cauterized to their own co-perception,

3 forbiding wedding and broma-foods (forbidden/allowed food by Moses law) created by God, which should be fully-received unto communion/participation amid gratitude (to God) by the Faithful ones, who have fully-known the Truth.

4 For all the creatures of God are beautiful, and should be received with gratitude (to God); not even one thing should be an outcast/a cast-away.

5 For, they are to be made holy/consecrated through formal petition/interview of the words of God.

Faithful ones should exercise/train themselves to follow virtuous teachings. 

6 Brethren who propose/are put under these things, could be virtuous servants of Jesus Christ, by being nurtured (nourished up) with the words, even by virtuous instructions on Faith which they should closely follow.

7 Moreover, they should shun profane/heathenish things, even myths pertaining to old women (anile), and be exercised/trained (gymnaze) towards Piety on its own;

8 because as physical/bodily exercises/trainings (P.E) is profitable, but, a little (exercises) towards piety is profitable for everybody who hold on to the promise of (zoe) Life now, and in the future.

9 it is a trustworthy/faithful account, and worthy of acceptance by all.

10 For, we work hard and contend unto these things, that men are expected to live upon the SAVIOR, especially all who are faithful/trustworthy to God.

11 Transmit and teach that message.

Be focus on your ministry and be a doer yourself. 

12 Not even one thing in your youth should despise Faith, but in turn (conduct), become an example to believers, in words, in selfless-Love and in purity/chastity.

13 Till (you) come, pay attention to reading, to exhortation, and to the teachings.

14 Never neglect the gift/charisma of prophecy in you, which is given to you through (my) laying of hands amid the Presbytery.

15 meditate on these things; at least, it is in these things that your progress will be apparent to all, 

16 and by holding on to these instructions and DO them yourself, as you stay over (there), even yourself will save those who are listening to you.

1 TIMOTHY Chapter 5

1Tim 5

Give due Respect to all

1 Do not sharply scold but exhort, the Elderly men (presbytero) as fathers; and the young men as brothers;

2 Elderly women (presbytera), as mothers; and young ladies as sisters (aldepha), for chastity/purity to be among all.

Advice concerning care for widows and the family

3 Honour (tima) widows, who are really widows;

4 However, if certain widow has children, or grand-children, they should first of all learn to be pious to their own family, and give back as recompense to their parents; for this is acceptable before God.

5 Moreover, the real widows who are isolated, should hope upon God, by tarrying more in supplications, and oratory-prayer nights and days.

6 howbeit, (for them) to die, having lived by wasting on luxury.

7 transmit this message, even at least (for them) to be inculpable.

8 And, if anyone does not prioritize, especially (in providing for) his own family, he contradicts things of Faith, and is worse as unbelievers/infidel.

Piece of advice concerning acceptable age for widows

9 list (catalog) the married women/wives of one man, who are not under sixty-years, to become a widow:

10 she has testified in virtuous deeds: if she had raised/fed children, if she is hospitable to strangers, if she had washed the feet of holy saints, if she had relieved the oppressed, if she had closely followed after all good works;

11 but, decline younger sisters in Christ, as widows, because whenever they are devastated, they may desire to (re)marry;

12 and will despise Faith, because of holding on, to (their) first decision;

13 moreover, by being idle, they could simultaneously wander about households; but not only could they be idle, they could be curious/nosy to learn, and by being garrulous, they would be preaching things which are not necessary.

14 Therefore, the young ladies should be willing to marry, bear children, lead a family, not to give any occasion of mockery/reproach to stand against their Grace.

15 because, some persons already, have turned backwards to satan.

16 and if certain believer has widow, help/relieve her, (so as) not to burden the church, who will at least relieve the real widows.

Advice to accord respect to the elders

17 The Elders who preside well, is worthy of double honour, especially those who work hard in words and teachings.

18 for the Holy writing says, never muzzle (tie the mouth) of an ox which is treading out grains, (Deut 25:4). So, a labourer deserves his wages. (Lk 10:7)

19 Never admit outside complaints against an Elder (Presbyter), except upon two or three witnesses.

20 refute those who trespass before all the people, and at least the rest will have fear.

21 Earnestly testify for God and Christ Jesus before the elected messengers, without preference/prejudice, at least, to keep these things and do nothing by bias/partiality.

22 do not lay hands on anyone hastily, and do not be partakers in the sins of others; keep yourself pure.

Prescription of wine as medicine for Timothy, who was a religiously wine-abstainer

23 Do not any longer be all-time-water-drinker [(hydropoteo) those who religiously abstains from vines beverages)], but use wine a little while, because of the frequent ailments of your stomach.

Leaders are more conspicuous than their followers

24 however, the mistake of certain persons who are advanced are obvious unto judgment of certain men who closely follow after (them).

25 virtuous deeds are obvious, and things held on to in another way cannot conceal, things in the same way.

1 TIMOTHY Chapter 6

 1Tim 6

Servants deserves honor even as they respect their Masters 

1 As long as a slave is under yoke/servitude and is being governed by his own master; everybody is worthy of honour, at least, not to blaspheme the teaching and the Name of God.

2 however, those who have Faithful masters, should not disesteem them, because they are brethren; but rather serve them because they are the Beloved, who participate/help the believers with beneficence/good deeds. Teach and exhort on these things.

Red signals to unapproved piety 

3 if anyone instruct differently, and does not approach (you) with healthy/sound-words of our Lord, according to the teachings of piety (good-conduct) of Jesus Christ,

4 but, is puffed up, and out of understanding nothing, become nauseating, concerning questions and dispute over trivial-matters, even, out of which are ill-will, quarrel, blasphemy, suspicions of evil;

5  and by leisure activities, deprived of the Truth, he corrupts minds of men, and regard piety to be a means of money gain; + depart away from such kind +

Five things needed to pursue Piety/devotion in the Gospel

6 However, Piety (well conducts) with self-sufficiency/contentment is a great means of gain;

7 for, we brought nothing into the world, and cannot even carry anything away.

8 nevertheless, to have food and coverings, these are sufficient.

9 however, men who are willing to be wealthy, would fall into temptations, and traps, and by unintelligent and harmful lusts of many, some have sunk/been plunged into ruins and damnation.

10 because, being fond of money is the root of all worthless/evil things, which anyone who stretch out for them, will be seduced away from Faith, and will pierce/transfix himself with much sorrows.

11 But you, oh man of God, flee from that; however, pursue Piety by  JUSTIFICATION of faith, SELFLESS-LOVE, Cheerful ENDURANCE, and MEEKNESS.

Have the Boldness to profess Gospel like Jesus before all men

12 Fight (contend) a virtuous fight (contest) of Faith, take hold upon Eternal Life, unto which you are called forth, and profess the virtuous confession before many as a Witness. 

13 you shoul transmit the virtuous confession before everybody, as Jesus Christ testified before Pontius Pilate and God revitalized/preserved (Him) alive.

14 you should hold fast to the injunctions of Jesus Christ, be blameless and spotless, until the appearing (epiphany) of our Lord;

The INVISIBLE and INVINCIBLE GOD

15 the Supremely-Blessed One (Jesus) Who will show up at the set time of the  SOVEREIGN/Dynastes, WHO Alone on HIS OWN is the KING over those reigning, and the LORD over those exercising lordship;

16 WHO alone has immortality (deathlessness), dwelling in unapproachable Light, WHO no man has seen, nor be able to see by men; to WHOM be honor and everlasting Dominion (Kratos). Amen.

Advice to the wealthy guys

17 Transmit the message to the rich ones in the present age: not to be high minded, and not to have hope upon the uncertainty of the riches, but upon God, Who copiously provide us all things unto full enjoyment.

18 concerning doing good things, be rich in virtuous deeds, be generous in giving, willing to share/be liberal.

19 you will really treasure up a beautiful things for yourselves, unto the future, at least, by laying hold upon the foundation of zoe-Life.

Preserve Faith by knowledge

20 Oh Timothy, preserve the knowledge, turn away from heathenish things, and vain-voices of opposing ideas, falsely called " legacy".

21 by which they make promises to certain persons who have even gone astray concerning Faith. Grace be with you. +Amen+
