1COR Chapter 1

Introduction

1Corinth was written in A.D 54 or 55 while Paul was in Ephesus and it was in response to a letter, through Sister Chloe, from them to Paul (Ch1,11, 5:9, 7:1). The Church in Corinth was founded by Paul after he left Athens (Acts 18:1-18). He departed first to Ephesus, later to Palestine, Antioch and finally to Ephesus. The letter addresses believers in that Section (local assembly) Ch1, against two forms of schism (1:10,11:18) their moral standard Ch5, marital issues Ch 7, food offered to idols Ch 8, conduct at the Lord holy communions meal Ch11, and the use of spiritual gifts Ch12. The Need to be governed by Law of Agape Love as the greatest to all gifts. Finally he closes with the ultimate victory of the hope of resurrection.

1 Cor 1

Paul introduction

1 Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, called through the choice of God, and with a Brother Sosthenes (safe strength),

2 to the Church of God, (which is in Corinth), (consecrated in Christ Jesus); called as saints together with all who are calling upon the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in all their places and ours;

3 the Grace from our Lord Jesus Christ and Peace with the Father God, be unto you.

Corinthians Church are spiritually Wealthy

4 I express gratitude to God always concerning you, over the Grace of God given to you in Christ Jesus,

5 for in everything, you have been made wealthy in Him, in all words and all knowledge (gnosis),

6 just as the testimony of Jesus Christ is confirmed in you,

7 whereby you are not falling short, not even in one divine Gift, and eagerly expecting the revelations of our Lord, Jesus Christ;

8 Who has certified you blameless, until the ultimate end, in the day of our Lord, Jesus Christ;

9 to God WHO is Faithful, and through WHOM you are called into partnership with His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord (1Jh 1:3)

Paul objected to schism/division in Corinth church

10 Moreover, I beseech you, brethren, through the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, at least, for all of you to be saying the same thing, and there should be no schism/division among you. However, you have been fully trained (fixed, completed, prepared), in the same mind and in the same opinion.

11 for, it is plainly declared to me about you, my brethren, under (sister) Chloe (green/grass), that there is quarrel within you.

12 Also saying, that each of you is saying this: I indeed, am of Paul, also I am of Apollos, also, I am of Cephas (Peter), also I am of Christ.

13 Is Christ being apportioned/disunited? was Paul crucified for you? Or were you (water) baptized unto the name of Paul? No.

14 I am grateful to God, that I baptized no one of you, except Crispus and Gaius, (Act 18:8)

15 lest anyone should say, that, he was baptized unto my name.

16 moreover, I also (water) baptized the households of Stephanas (crowned). I am not aware of the rest, if I baptized any other one.

Paul is called to Preach in words of wisdom and not to water-baptize

17 for, Christ did not send me to (water) baptize, but to preach the gospel in Words of Wisdom, at least, not to make the stake/cross of Christ useless.

18 for, the words of the stake/cross, is indeed foolishness to those who will perish; but to us who are saved, they are the mighty-miracles of God. (Rom 1:16)

19 for, it is written, the wisdom of the wise will perish and the intelligence of the intelligent will be despised. (Is 29:14)

20 Where are the wise? Where are the scribes/writers? Where are the debaters of this age? Hasn't God made the Wisdom of the World foolish?

21 of course, they could not absolutely know God through the Wisdom of the World, because, by the Wisdom of God, it is well pleasing to God, through the foolishness of preaching, to save those who will have Faith,

22 of course, (as) the Jews are asking for miraculous signs even the Hellenes (Grecians) are seeking after wisdom;

23 but we proclaim "Christ, Who was crucified"; a scandal (occasion to fall) indeed to the Jews, and absurdity unto the heathen-Nations;

Gospel is the story of the miracles of God and the Wisdom of God

24 however, those invited/called, of the Jews and even, of the Hellenes (Grecians) to the same Christ, is by the Wisdom of God and mighty-miracles of God.

25 for, the stupid (moron) things to men, are wise with God, and the weak-things to men are mighty with God.

We only Boasts in God

26 because, by looking at your calling/invitation, Brethren, it is not of many, who are wise, not of many who are capable/powerful, and not of many of high ranked/of noble-birth according to flesh;

27 But God chooses the things which are stupid to the world, at least to disgrace the wise-men; and God chooses things which are weak to the world, at least to shame-down the mighty men.

28 even God has chosen those of unknown-descent of the world (without Jewish kinship), and those, least-esteemed, who were not of the existing thing, at least by nullifying the existing thing.

29 so that, all flesh, anyhow, could not boast in the presence of God.

30 moreover, out of the Wisdom of God, you are in Christ Jesus, from Whom, the same REDEMPTION, and even SANCTIFICATION, and JUSTIFICATION come into being unto us;

31 at least, just as it is written, anyone boasting, should boast in the Supreme God. (Ref: Jer 9:24)

1COR Chapter 2

1Cor 2

All that Paul care to know is  crucified Christ.

1 Brethren, I have come towards you, to proclaim the words of wisdom or the testimony of God to you. I have not come according to, even my superiority.

2 for, I decided/judged not to be aware of anything among you, except Jesus Christ, even this One, Who was crucified.

3 And I, become so many things towards you, in frailty, even in fear, and in trembling.

4 And my words, and even my preaching were not by enticing/persuasive words of wisdom, but by demonstration of mighty-deeds of the SPIRIT.

5 at least for your Faith, not to be in the wisdom of man, but in the miraculous power of God.

Wisdom of God to save the world has been a mystery

6 However, we preach the wisdom among the mature/full grown ones; Moreso, the wisdom is not of the things of this age, nor of the the Rulers of this age, which shall be abolished.

7 But we preach the wisdom of God, fully concealed in a mystery, which God pre-determined before the age for us, unto our Glory.

8 the Glory, which none of the rulers of this age, absolutely know; for, if it had been known, they would not have possibly crucified the Lord (on the cross),

9 but as it is written, what eyes have not seen, and ears have not heard, and has not ascended the heart of men, God has prepared as much for those HE selflessly-Love. (Is 64:4-12)

The mystery is now openly declared; and only spiritually inclined people understand

10 for they have been revealed to us through the SPIRIT of God. Because by the SPIRIT, we searches the depth (profundity) of all the things of God.

11 for, who is a man to know the things of (other) man, if not a man by the spirit in him? And likewise, no man absolutely knows the things of God, except by the SPIRIT of God.

12 however, we have not received the spirit of the world, but the SPIRIT from God, at least to know the things granted us by grace under God;

13 And what we preach, is not taught in human word of wisdom, but taught in the Spirit, by judging spiritual-things (Gospels) in connection with another spiritual things (past-prophecies)

14 Moreover, a natural/psychological man will not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and cannot absolutely know them, for they are spiritually scrutinized/investigated.

15 moreover, all thing under him could be scrutinized, but he could investigate nothing spiritual.

16 for, who absolutely know the mind of the Supreme Lord? What is knitted together by HIM? (Is 40:13). However, our mind hold on to things of Christ.

1COR Chapter 3

1Cor 3

Taking Dichotomy position, either for Christ or the 'gifted-men' in the Church is carnality

1 Brethren, even I, can not preach to you, as to spiritual (people) but as to carnal (people) and as unto infants (nepios) in Christ.

2 I will give you milk (gala) to drink, not solid broma food. for certainly, you were able (before), but not even now, are you still able.

3 for you are still of things pertaining to the flesh, because where there are jealousy and quarrel among you; are you not walking according to things pertaining to flesh of man?

All 'men of gift' and 'gift of men' are instruments in God's hand

4 for, are you not of men, whenever anyone says, I am indeed of Paul, also, another say, I am of Apollos?

5 Who then is Apollos? Who is Paul also? Deacons/ministers through whom you believe, as the Lord has given (gifts) to each one?

6 I will plant, (and) Apollos will furnish water; but God is to give the growth.

7 so, it is neither of the person who is planting, nor of one who is watering; but of God WHO gives growth.

8 Also, the one planting, and the one watering, are one; and each one will take his own reward, according to his own labour.

9 for, we are fellow-workers of God, on God's farm/field and the architecture (full-structure) is of God.

10 According to the Grace (charin) of God given to me, as a wise architect, having laid a foundation, another will however build upon it. So, each person should take heed, how he build upon it.

11 because no one can lay another foundation besides the one laid, which is of Jesus Christ.

Beware of what you using to build, even though you are saved.

12 Moreover, if anyone should build, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, upon the foundation,

13 the labour of each person will become manifest, for, it will be declared on the day. Because, it will be revealed, of what kind it is, in fire; as fire will test even the work of each person.

14 if the labour of anyone stay, he will receive wages for what he has built up,

15 if the labour of anyone burn down, he will suffer loss; however, he will be saved but likewise as through fire.

16 are you not aware that, you are the Temple of God, and the SPIRIT of God co-habit (in you)?

17 If anyone spoil the temple of God, God will spoil him; for the Temple of God, which you are, is holy.

All 'men of gift' are prepared for you,

18 No-man should wholly-deceive himself; if any person among you, thinks to be wise in things of this age, he should become stupid, at least to become wise.

19 for, the wisdom of this world, is stupid with God. Because it was written: the wise are entrapped in their craftiness. (Job 5:13)

20 And again the Supreme God, absolutely knows the consideration/imaginations of the wise, that they are vanity. (Ps 94:11)

21 therefore, no one should boast; for all (gifts) in men are for you.

22 whether of Paul, or things of Zoe-Life, whether of Apollos or things of death, whether of Cephas (Peter) or things of the world, whether things of the present or things of the future, everybody is for you;

23 Moreover, you are of Christ; and Christ is of God.

1COR Chapter 4

 1Cor 4

See us as who we are: we are gift of men

1 Men should likewise reckon us, (as) the subordinate officers (constables) of Christ and managers (distributors) of the Mysteries of God.

2 here is the remaining thing, something to seek after in a manager/steward, at least, he should be found faithful/trustworthy.

3 Moreover, to me, a day is very small, at least, to be interrogated under you, or under human (setting), but never (for me) to scrutinize myself.

4 I am conscious of nothing on this thing, but I am not to scrutinize myself, however, who will justify me is the Lord.

Judge no one now, and never puff up

5 therefore, do not judge anyone before the set-time, until possibly, the coming of the Lord, who will shed light even on the secret things in darkness, and make the will/volition of the hearts manifest; and then, the laudation/praise to each person will happen to be from God.

Learn in us

6 Moreover, Brethren, I transform/apply this thing unto myself and Apollos, because of you, at least to learn in us, and not over what was written; at least, never should one person for the sake of one thing, puff-up/exaggerate with respect to the other.

7 for, who are you to thoroughly dissect/distinguish? Also, what do you have, which you have not received? And howbeit, if you receive it, why boasting as though it was not received?

Paul caution excesses of Corinthians church: Appear foolish to save souls for Christ's sake

8 You have been satiated/glutted already; and now become wealthy, to reign/rule separately apart from me; and I really wish you are reigning, at least, I would have been reigning together with you also

9 for I think, at the latter end, we, the Apostles of God  are to be demonstrated/exhibited as though being at the point of death, on a theater-show to the world, because we become messengers to men.

10 We are stupid because of Christ, but you are smart/thoughtful in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are in glory, but we are without honour.

11 and until the present hour, we are hungry and thirsty and we lack wears and being buffeted, even wandering about homelessly (non-stationary),

12 we work hard, engaged in trade with our own hands, we bless those who reproach, we endure those who persecute,

13 to defamation, we are encouraged, we become like refuse to all people, like dirty things to the world, till now.

Paul exemplifies his fatherly care to the church as example to imitate

14 I do not write this to discourage you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.

15 for, in case, you have myriads of pedagogue (tutors/ducators) in Christ, but not many are like fathers; for, in Christ Jesus, I begot you through the gospel.

16 therefore, I exhort you to become my imitators.

17 by this reason, I will dispatch Timothy to you, who is my faithful and beloved child in the Lord, who will remind you, our ways in Christ Jesus, just as we have taught in all churches universally.

18 as I will not be coming toward you, howbeit, for those who are puffing up/exaggerating certain things;

19 however, I will also come quickly towards you, in case the Supreme Lord desire. But, those who don't know of the Power (dunamis) are the ones puffing up/exaggerating words.

20 for, the kingdom of God is not by words but by instrumentality of Miraculous-POWER.

21 Should I come to you with rod/cudgel or rather by selfless-Love, and even in the SPIRIT of meekness? what do you want?

1COR Chapter 5

1Cor 5

Paul generalized his rebuke, believing that, immorality of one has stained the entire church

1 Harlotry is among you ALTOGETHER, even the kind of harlotry/sexual immorality, which is not even heard among the heathen-nations, in so much that certain man had the wife/woman of (his) father.

2 And there you are, puffing up! And not rather be grieving, at least to take away from your midst, the one who practice this act.

3 because, I, being indeed absent bodily; however, being present in the spirit; I have likewise judged the one who worked-out this thing already, as though I am present.

4 (as) you gather together in the Name of our Lord Jesus, and together with me in the SPIRIT, there is power of our Lord Jesus, -

5 - for such a one, at least, to be saved by the SPIRIT in the day of the Lord, as the flesh which he surrendered to satan, to be unto destruction.

6 your boasting is not good, why are you not aware that a little ferment will leaven the whole mass of dough?

7 Thoroughly cleanse out the old ferment/leavened, at least, there will be a new unleavened mass of dough for the Passover, even just as we are for Christ, Who has been sacrificed for us.

8 in so much that we will not celebrate the feast with old leaven/ferment, not even in ferment of wickedness and depravity, but in unleavened bread of Purity and Truth.

Stay off the worldly immoralities, even if it is among Christian brother (in reference to Sister Chloe information of 1Cor 1:11)

9 in the written letter: it is not for you to mix up/associate with prostitutes;

10 since you are not out of the world entirely, Ara (heartfelt need lifted to heaven), you MUST get out of the prostitutes, or the covetous, or the swindlers (rapacious) and the idolaters of this world.

11 Also now, for emphasy, I write to you, not to mix up together with certain brother, in case, he is named to be a prostitute, or covetous, or idolater, or reviler, or tipsy/drunkard, or rapacious; do not even eat food together with such a one.

12 for who am I to be judging an outsider? Who could not indeed, judge those of you inside?

13 God will however judge the outsiders for the same thing; so, expel the evil-one out from you. (Deut 17:7, 19:19)

1COR Chapter 6

1 Cor 6

Never sue fellow-brethren to public court

1 Should anyone of you, who have a matter (pragma) towards another, venture to sue him at law before the unrighteous men, and not indeed before the saints?

2 or are you not aware that the holy-saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you not fit with the rules of judgment (criterion) on the least case?

3 Are you not aware that we will judge (fallen) angels? How much less things relating to the present life?

4 therefore, in case they could indeed have the criteria to judge things relating to the present life, should the church be least-esteemed on this thing? Will you Settle down!

5  by doing otherwise, I will likewise say towards you: there is no wise man, not even among you, who can discern/thoroughly dissect the same matter up between the Brethren?

6 but amid this, a brother sue (another) brother to law court, and before an infidel (unbeliever), oh!

7 therefore, it is already a total failure/defeat indeed for you, for having law suits judgments amid yourselves. why not rather be hurt on the account?why not rather be defrauded on that account?

8 buy you hurt and defraud brethren even on those things!

Know who you are

9 or, are you not aware that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Never be deceived: neither prostitute (pornoi), nor idolaters, nor adulterers (paramour), nor effeminate (catamite), nor homosexual (sodomite),

10 nor thieves, nor covetous, (and even) no drunkard/tipsy person, no insulters, no extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And we WERE someone with those things (before) , but, we have been fully washed, but we have been made holy (consecrated), but we have been justified, even by the SPIRIT of God, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Glorify God, with your body

12 All things to me are right, but not all are of advantage/go along well; all things to me are right (in public view), but I will not be controlled under everything,

13 broma food (religiously allowed and forbidden food) is for the belly, and even the belly is for the food; moreover God has abolished those things, and those things also, in the body/church of the Lord, but, the body of the Lord is not for harlotry.

14 And, God WHO raised the Lord up, shall also fully awaken/resuscitate us up, through HIS power.

15 Are you not aware that, the parts (limbs) of your body are for Christ, then, should the parts of the body of Christ be taken away, to do things with part of the body of a strumpet/whore? It will never happen!

16 Or, are you not aware that, those who glue/join to a strumpet (whore) are unto one body (with her)? To make His thought known: - for the two shall be unto one flesh. (Gen 2:24)

17 Moreover, the one who glues himself to the Lord is by One SPIRIT.

18 Flee harlotry (adultery, fornication and incest). All sins, which in case are committed unto a man, is outside the body, but those who commit harlotry, commit sin with their own body.

19 Or are you not aware that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, WHOM you have in you from God, and you are not on your own.

20 for, you are really purchased with a price/honor, glorify God in your body, + and by the SPIRIT in you, WHO is of God+.

1COR Chapter 7

1 Cor 7

Paul's advice on marriage, (a response to the letter through Chloe - 1Cor 1:11)

1 Also, concerning what you wrote; it is virtuous for men, never to TOUCH a married woman (of another).

2 but, because of harlotry, each (man) should have his own wife, and each (woman) should have husband of her own.

3 the wife should render/give away her duty/obligations to the husband, and also, the husband likewise to the wife.

4 the wife, does not have authority over her own body, but the husband; also, even the husband likewise, does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.

5 do not deprive/defraud one another, if any at all, possibly from agreement (symphony) upon a set-time, to take a holiday at least towards oratory prayer; and things will be the same again; at least, satan will not tempt you, through your lack of self-restraint.

6 however, these things I said, is according to permission/concession/mutual knowledge; not by a command.

Paul's advice on celibacy

7 However, I desire all men to be as myself. But each person has his own divine gift (charisma) from God; indeed one is in this way, also, that one could be in that way.

8 so, I will tell the unmarried and the widows, it is virtuous, in case, they remain even like me.

9 but, if they could not exercise self-restraint, (re) marry; for, they are to kindle being better/stronger or they should (re) marry.

Paul reiterates the accounts of the Lord on divorce

10 Moreover, for the married - it is commanded, not by me but by the Lord: - wives should not separate away from her husband;

11 or in case they had separated, but not to remain unmarried, she should be reconciled to the husband. And the husband should forgive her wife.

Paul advise Christians who are already in marriage with an unbeliever that, the tendency of convertion is high but not guaranteed

12 Moreover, the remaining things I will say, are not of the Lord: - if a certain brother has unbeliever as his wife, and she is not well pleased to co-habit together with him, he should leave her.

13 and if a certain woman/wife has unbeliever as husband, and he is not well pleased to co-habit together with her, she should leave the husband.

14 for, by the wife, the husband, who is an unbeliever may be made holy (saved). And by the instrumentality of the husband, the wife, who is an unbeliever may be consecrated (saved); but, Ara (heartfelt call for grace, lifted to heaven), since your children who would have been unclean, may now be made holy (saved).

15 however, if the unbeliever (spouse) separate away; and for the brother or the sister not to be enslaved in such kind case, he /she should separate. Moreover, we have been called forth  into Peace (being set at one) with God.

16 because, how will the wife knows, if she would SAVE the husband? Or how will the husband knows, if he would SAVE the wife?

Enjoy the liberty of your calling in your individual status

17 except as it is assigned by the Lord to each person, everyone should walk likewise, even as God has called him forth. And I give order, in this way, in all the churches,

18 Anyone called forth circumcised, do not draw (foreskin) over it (efface the mark); anyone called forth in uncircumcision, do not circumcise.

19 circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but observance of the commandments of God.

20 Each person should stay in that same invitation, in which he has been called.

21 if called forth as a slave, it should not be of concern/worry to you; but you can rather use/employ it, to become free (as citizen).

22 for, the one called forth in the Lord as a slave, is a freed-man of the Lord; likewise the one called forth, free (as a citizen) is a servant of Christ.

23 you are purchased precious/with a price; never become slaves to men.

24 Brethren, continue to stay along, in that (state), in which God has called everyone.

Advice to the unmarried lady/virgin

25 Moreover, concerning unmarried daughter (virgin), she should be faithful. I do not have injunction of the Lord; but I will give OPINION, as the one who has obtained mercy under the Lord,

26 therefore, this up-coming (female) servants should be virtuous, because of the present needs/necessities; for, men (human-beings) are supposed to be virtuous likewise.

Advice to both married and unmarried

27 are you bound to a wife? Never seek a loosening/divorce. Are you loosened from a wife? Never seek a wife.

28 And, in case however, you marry, you have not trespassed; and in case the unmarried daughter marries, she has not trespassed; but for such a one who has affliction of flesh; I will also spare you.

Set a new beginning for yourself

29 Moreover, Brethren, I will make my thought known on these things: the time is winding up; so, to the remaining ones,  at least, those who never have, as though they will be holding on to a wife.

30 and those who never weep, as though they will never weep, and those are  rejoicing, as though, they will be rejoicing; and those who do not possess (anything) as though, they will be purchasing,

31 and those are taking advantage of things of the world, as though, they will never over-use/abuse it; because the present form (schema) of this world is passing away.

32 but I want you to be carefree/unworried, because, the unmarried person will care for the things of the Lord, seeking how to please the Lord;

33 but, the married man is anxious about things of the world, seeking how to please the wife.

34 Even, the unmarried woman and the unmarried daughter (virgin), care for the things of the Lord, at least to be holy, even in the body and in the spirit; but, having been assigned to marry, a married wife will be anxious for the things of the world, seeking how to please the husband.

35 however, I say these things towards, you, contributing/being expedient at least to the Lord, not to cast a snare upon you, but towards being decorous and devoted to HIM, without distraction.

Advice to an unmarried daughter/virgin and the parent who is giving her in marriage

36 Also, if certain person (parent) is acting embarrassingly/improperly upon his unmarried-daughter; in case, she has become above-her-prime/youth (acme) and it MUST be in that way for her, she is supposed to do what he desires, she should marry, she has not sinned.

37 however, the determination of the one (the parent), who is steadfast in his own heart, concerning this virgin (unmarried daughter), will do well. Also, the one (parent), who has authority on his own, and never hold on to needs/necessities for HER, who has mentally judge/decide in her own heart to keep herself, will stand firm.

38 therefore, the one who espouse/give his own daughter in marriage, does WELL; and the one who does not espouse her virgin (to husband) does BETTER .

Advice to the widows

39 A wife is bound as long as it is upon the space of time her husband is alive. But, in case the husband SLEEPS (dies), she is free to marry whom she desires, only, in the Lord.

40 however, in case, she stays according to my OPINION, she is supremely blessed also in that way, and I think, I have the Spirit of God.

1COR Chapter 8

1Cor 8

If you selflessly love everybody, you know God

1 Moreover, concerning things sacrificed to idols; be aware that, everybody who hold on to knowledge (gnosis) puffs-up/exaggerate (to find fault), but those with knowledge and selfless-Love (agape) BUILDS UP .

2 if anyone thinks to have absolutely know some things; no gainsay that, he ought to know just as I have known.

3 but, if they selflessly-Loves someone under them, these ones absolutely knows God.

GOD is One and Jesus Christ is one, but Idols/images are many and they are nothing (note: not the spirit behind the idol)

4 therefore, about eating things offered up to idols, we are aware that, idol is nothing and because no man except  ONE is God in the world.

5 for, even if perhaps they are called gods, just as, whether in the sky, or on earth, there are many gods and many lords,

6 but, to us, there is ONE GOD, the FATHER, out of WHOM are all things, and they are unto us; and One LORD, Jesus Christ, because of and on account Whom are all of us.

Do not abuse your liberty in Christ

7 But this knowledge is not in all people; so, someone with co-perception of idols till this day will eat as though the thing is sacrificed to idols, and being weak in his co-perception, he is defiled.

8 Also, bromate food (Jewish forbidden and allowed food) will not recommend us to God; neither in case, we eat it, shall we fall short, nor in case, we do not eat it, shall we superabound.

9 but take heed, how this authority of yours, will not become a stub (occasion of falling) to those who are weak.

10 for, in case, those who hold on to certain knowledge, sees you, who has built up (your) co-perception, sit down in idol-temple, eating things sacrificed to idols, will he not indeed be weak?

11 for, through your knowledge, a brother who is weak and for whom Christ died, will be lost.

12 So, those who sin unto a weak brother and wound/smite his co-perception are trespassing in that way unto Christ.

13 for, this very reason, if butchered meat will offend/scandalize my brother, I will never eat broma food unto ages, lest my brother be offended/ensnared into apostasy.

1COR Chapter 9

1Cor 9

Paul exemplifies how self-denial will  save souls for Christ sake

1 Am I not a free-ctizen? Am I not an Apostle? Have I not indeed clearly discern Jesus our Lord? Are you not of the Lord by my labour/work?

2 if I am not an Apostle to others, but at least, to you, I am; and for you to be in the Lord, is a stamp/seal of genuineness of my apostleship.

3 this is my defense to those who will scrutinize me:

4 don't I have authority to eat and drink at all?

5 don't I have authority at all, to go around with sister and wives as the remaining Apostles, (like) brothers of the Lord (James and Judah) and Cephas (Peter)?

6 Or is it only me and BarNabas, who do NOT have authority, NOT to labour? (always toiling)

How Christians ministers get remunerated: it is never by one tenth

7 Who goes to serve at any time in a military campaign at his own expense? Who plant a vineyard and do not eat of its fruits? Or who shepherd a flock, and do not consume out of the milk of the flock? (Ex 32:6)

8 did I preach these things according to men? No. Or was this thing not also said in the law?

9 for, it is written in the law of Moses, never muzzle (tie the mouth of) an ox, that is threshing out grains (Deut 25:4). Are oxen of interest to God? No.

10 Or was it entirely spoken because of us? For, it is written because of us, that, those who plough ought to plough upon hope, and those threshing/treading out corns, should partake upon hope.

11 if we have sown spiritual things to you, is it a great thing, if we reap your material things/things of the flesh? (Rom15:27)

12 if others, by authority partake of things from you, should it not be more for us? But we did not use this authority. We roof-over/cover up/accommodate everything, but, at least, not to give any hindrance, to the gospel of Christ.

13 are you not aware that, those who work by the temple, eat out of the holy things; and those waiting upon the altar, jointly share of the things of the altar?

14 And the Lord likewise arranges for those preaching the gospel, to live by the things from the gospel.

15 but, I have not used/employed any of this, and I am not writing in this way, at least, for this thing to come into being for me; for, it is virtuous for me to rather die, than for anything to make my boasting void.

16 for, it will be a sorry case for me, in case I have not been preaching the gospel, and there will be nothing of boasting for me. So, in case I have been preaching the gospel, it is because necessity rest upon me.

17 for, if I practising this thing willingly, I have wages/rewards; but if unwillingly and you have faith unto the stewardship/administration;

18  to have over-used/abused my authority unto the gospel, at least, I am not positioned to evangelize without charge: what then would have been my reward in the gospel?

A servant leader

19 because, being free (as a citizen) from all things, I become a servant to everybody, by myself at least to gain/win more in number.

20 And I became to the Jews, like a Jew, at least to win the Jews; even to those under the law, as though under the law, at least to win those under the law, for them not to be under the law (again).

21 To those who are not subjected to Jewish law, as though I am not subjected to the law, but never am I lawless to God, at least to win those who are not subjected to Jewish law, even to be subjected to law of Christ.

22 I became weak, to the weak ones, at least to gain the weak ones. I became all things to everybody, at least, to save some persons by all means.

23 Moreover, I do all things, because of the gospel, at least for them to become co-participants.

Christians as athlete on a stadia-race

24 are you not aware, that for those running in a race-course/stadia, all are running indeed? but the prize will be received by one. Run in this way, at least to eagerly receive it.

25 Moreso, all those ones then, who indeed contend, will exercise self-discipline/mastery in everything, at least to receive corruptible crown, but, we, the incorruptible.

26 Therefore, I, run, this way, not as being uncertain/unclear; I combat with fist, this way, not like beating the air.

27 But, like striking under the eye, I bring my body into subjection, not how others proclaim the same (gospel), and become unapproved/disqualified.

Examples to learn from

1 Brethren, no doubt, I don't want you to be ignorant, that (as) all our fathers were under the clouds, and all travelled through the sea,

2 and unto baptizing all people in the sea and Moses, in the cloud..

3 and everybody was spiritual to have eaten the same broma-food

4 Even everybody was spiritual to have drank the same beverage-drinks from a (mass of) rock, by following a messiah (Moses). They have been drinking from the mass of Rock (personified Rock-Petras) because they are spiritual.

5 But God was not well pleased in many of them; for they were strewn down in the desert.

6 So, these things have become examples unto us, not to be a craver of evil things, just as they, likewise craved.

7 Neither to become idolaters, as some of them; just as, it is written, people seated down to eat and drink, and they arose to play sport (as boys). (Ex 32:6)

8 Nor indulge in sexual immorality, as some of them acted harlotry, and twenty three/four thousands fell down in one day. (Num 25:9)

9 Neither to tempt Christ, as some of them fully-tempted theirs and perished under serpents. (Num 21:5-6)

10 Nor to grumble, as some of them murmured at him, and perished under a destroyer. (Num 14:27-45)

11 however, these things are examples, which transpired with those ones, and they were written down, towards calling the attention unto us, to whom the end of the ages will arrive.

12 therefore, those who think they are standing; should take heed, not to fall.

You are not alone

13 you have not received trials, except that which is of human; however, God is faithful, WHO will not leave you alone, to be able to bear the trials and is able to do things over those tempting you, together with, a way of escape.

Flee idolatry

14 By this reason, my Beloved, flee away from image-worship (idolatry)

15 I speak as unto the thoughtful/intelligent ones; you should judge/decide by  what I make known from my thought.

16 the cup which we bless (speak well of), is it not indeed, of a communion/partnership with the blessings of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not indeed of a communion with the body/church of Christ?

17 because one loaf of bread is one body, for we, being many; everybody  shares/partakes out of one loaf of bread.

18 Looking at Israel (religion) with respect to the altar; aren't partakers of the (animal) sacrifices, eat of the flesh?

Idol/image is nothing but demons are real (amendments on ICor8:4-13)

19 therefore, why am I making my thought known? Is it that, things sacrificed to idol are something or is it that, idol is something?

20 on the contrary, that which the gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice unto demons, and not to God. So, I don't want you to become a fellow-partakers with demons.

21 you can not drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and the table of demons.

22 or, should the Lord be provoked to jealousy? Is He not more powerful than them?

Do all things selflessly for the sake of Grace and to the glory of God to save souls

23 All things may be right in the public view, but not all is of advantage; all things may be right in the public view, but not all could build up/edify. (1Cor 6:12)

24 seek after nothing of your own, but things of another person.

25 Eat all things being sold in the meat-market; interrogate nobody, because of co-perception/moral-consciousness.

26 for the earth is of the SUPREME God, and the fullness (repletion) of it. (Ps 24:1)

27 if a certain unbeliever/infidel invite you, and you desire to go; eat all things set before you, interrogate nobody, because of co-perceptions.

28 (for the earth is of the SUPREME God, and the fullness of it (Ps 24:1)). However, in case anyone tells you, this thing is sacrificed to idol, do not eat, because of co-perception of him who disclosed it.

29 Moreover, I have spoken of co-perception/moral consciousness, not indeed of your own, but that of another person. For, why should my freedom at least be judged/decided under moral-consciousness of another person?

30 if I had participated by Grace, why being blasphemed over that which I have given thanks?

31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink or you do anything; do all unto the Glory of God,

32 and happen to be inoffensive to the Jews, and Hellens (Grecians), and the Church of God.

33 Just as even I, seek to please all; by not seeking after things of advantage to myself, but things to many, at least to save all.

1COR Chapter 11

1Cor 11

Paul commended Corinthians for keeping to his tutelage/tutorage

1 Become my imitator, even as I am of Christ.

2 however, I applaud you, for you remember and hold fast to all my handed-down transmissions/ordinances as delivered to you.

Paul interrogates Jewish custom of shaving hairs during purification of women and the custom for a decent Christian women to fully dress well

3 Moreover, I want you to be aware, that as God is the HEAD to Christ, Christ also is the Head to all fellow-men/husbands and husband is the head-(master) to his wife.

4 Every husband, making prayer, or prophesying, and is holding on to things against his head, is disgracing who is the Head to him.

5 Moreover, every wife (married woman) who is making prayer or prophesying and is not fully dressed/veiled (akatakalyptos), is disgracing who is the  head to her; because, she is the same with one person with a shaven head (xurao).

6 for, if a wife (married woman) will not be fully covered (dressed), she could even shear (keiro), Moreover, if to shear (keiro) or be shaven (xurao) is shameful/indecorum to a wife (married woman), she should be fully veiled (well dressed/covered).

7 #for husband ought not to be fully covered/veiled, being of a statue/image existing as subordinate for the glory of God; but a wife (married woman), is indeed for the glory of (her) head (master), even the husband#

8 because the husband was not out of the wife, but the wife was out of the husband.

9 and because, the husband was not originally-created because of the wife, but the wife, because of the husband (Gen 2:21-23)

10 by this reason, for Angel to have authority upon the wife, it must be through the head-master (husband) (Num 30)

11 nevertheless, in the Lord, neither the wife should be separately apart from husband, nor the husband should be separately apart from wife.

12 for, just as the woman was out of the fellow-man, even felow-man is likewise THROUGH a woman (by pregnancy), but everybody is out of God.

13 is it fit/right for a wife/married woman, who is making prayer (publicly), not to be fully-dressed/covered (revealing her body)? You could judge/decide on it for God:

14 are you not even taught the same thing by nature that, in case, a fellow-man is with long hairs, it is a disgrace to him?

15 but, in case, a married woman is with long hairs, there is a glory that a mantle/total-covering will give to her in place of her long hair.

16 but if anyone has a contentious thing, neither we, nor the church think such kind of custom is of God.

Advice on love-feast instead of open display of schism and selfishness during holy communion meal

17 Moreover, this is to instruct you, and not to commend you; for you gathered together, not unto getting better, but unto the worse.

18 firstly, you and certain persons who have faith, gathered together indeed in church and I heard of schism/division within subordinate-leaders in your SECTIONS (local assembly).

19 because, there happens to be factions (sects) among you, and at least it is evident/open, there must be the acceptable/approved one among you.

20 therefore, you are not gathering together upon eating the Lord's dinner.

21 for, every person should first take a dinner of his own. But, there are some who in eating got drunk, and some indeed are hungry.

22  don't you have houses unto eating and drinking? Or are you to despise the church, and disgrace those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I commend you to God in this? No. I will not commend you, Never!

Holy communion meal is, according to the command of the Lord

23 for I have accepted away from the Lord, even what I deliver up to you: for the Lord Jesus, took a loaf of bread, in the night He was betrayed,

24 and having expressed gratitude, He broke it, and said, this (bread) is of My Body; which is for your sake; do this thing unto My remembrance.

25 And likewise, the cup, amid dinning/taking meal, He said, this cup is of My Blood in the New-age covenant, whenever in case you drink, do this thing unto My remembrance.

26 for as many times, in case, you eat of this bread, and drink of the cup, you will proclaim the Lord, until that which is of death will come.

Thorough discernment of Holy communion meal is the pre-requisite

27 Therefore, whoever possibly eat of the bread, or drink of the cup of the Lord unworthily (irreverently), will be guilty, for the BODY and the BLOOD of the Lord.

28 so, a man should test/prove himself, and thus, eat out from the bread and drink out from the cup.

29 for, those who eat and drink, had eaten and drunk to judgment of themselves, for not having thoroughly DISSECTED (DISCERN) the BODY.

30 By this reason, many competent ones within you are weak and sick and even have fallen asleep/dead.

31 for, if they had thoroughly dissected/discerned on their own, they would not have possibly been judged.

32 However, having been judged under the Lord, they have been disciplined, at least, they will not be condemned together with the world.

33 my brethren, therefore as you will gather together unto eating, wait for one another.

34 if anyone is hungry, he should eat at home; at least, you will not be gathering together unto judgment; however, as it were, I will possibly come to give order on the remaining things.

1COR Chapter 12

1Cor 12

Be informed about spiritual gifts

1 Moreover, concerning spiritual things, brethren, I don't want you ignorant.

2 be aware that as heathen-nations, you were carried away towards dumb-idols, at which things, you have been possibly brought forth

3 for that reason, I make it known to you, that, no one will preach by the SPIRIT of God, and say, Jesus is anathema (excommunicated person); and no one can say, JESUS is the LORD, except by the Holy SPIRIT/SPIRIT of the Holy ONE.

4 Also, there are distinctness/division (in) divine Gifts, but they are of the same Holy SPIRIT;

5 and there are distinctness/divisions (in) services/ministries, and they are for the same Lord;

6 and there are distinctness (in) operations/work-done, however, the same God is also working in everyone for everything.

7 So, the SPIRIT is given for exhibition/expression towards contributing/being of advantage to everyone.

There are 2 distinct Gifts of words (logos)

8 for indeed by the SPIRIT, through WHOM, we are given WORDS (logos) of WISDOM; also to another (allos), WORDS (logos) of KNOWLEDGE, according to the same SPIRIT;

There are 5 distinct Gifts of spiritual power operations

9 to a different individual (hetero), FAITH (persuasion), by the same SPIRIT, also to another (allos), GIFT of HEALING (cure), by the same SPIRIT,

10 also to another (allos), WORKING of Mighty DEEDS; also to another (allos), PROPHECY; also to another (allos), DISTINCTION between spirits/judicial ESTIMATION of spirits; -

There are 2 distinct Gifts of language/tongue

- to a different person (hetero), tongue/LANGUAGES of (another) race/kindred, also to another (allos), INTERPRETATION of tongues/language.

11 but all these (gifts) work by the same Holy Spirit, the ONE WHO divide/distribute to each person as HE is willing.

Each Section (local assembly) is a part of a united body of Church of Christ

12 because, exactly as one body has many parts, even all the parts of the body, being many, are on one body; so also is of Christ.

13 And no doubt, all of us in one body, are immersed/baptized unto One SPIRIT, whether Jews, or Hellenes (Grecians), whether slave or freedman, and all are furnished/irrigated by One SPIRIT.

14 And, a body is not of one part, but many (parts).

15 In case the foot says, because I am not the hand, I am not from the body: never from that, will it not be from the body.

16 And, in case the ear says, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body: never from that, will it not be of the body.

17 if the whole body were an eye, where will be for the sense of hearing? If the whole is of hearing, where will be for the sense of smell?

18 but for emphasis, God place the parts, each one in the same body, as HE desired.

19 so, if all are to be one part, where will be the body?

20 so now, there are many parts indeed, but one body.

21 so the eye cannot say to the hand, it has no need of you; or again, the head to the feet, it has no need of you.

22 But, the weak parts of the body, thought to be existing underneath are much more needful/indispensable to the body;

23 and those which are thought to be less-honorable, these are bestowed with more abundant honour; and the shapeless/unpresentable parts of us, have more abundant decorum.

24 also, God WHO composed the body, gives more abundant honour to the parts that are falling short/deficient, but those well-formed/presentable parts of us, do not have the need (for it).

25 but, for there not to be schism/division in the body, at least, they should care for part of the body of one another.

26 And whether one part suffers, all the parts will jointly suffer/sympathize with it, and whether a part is magnified, all the parts of the body will cheer together/should be congratulated.

27 However, you, who are from the SECTIONS (local-assemblies) are parts of the body of Christ.

There are Ministers in local assemblies of the church of Christ world-wide

28 And indeed, those whom God has placed in the Church are: firstly, the Apostles; secondly, the Prophets; thirdly, the Teachers; for Mighty-deeds, for the divine Gifts of healing; thereafter those in directorship/governance, those for support/relief services, and then, those for languages/tongues of kindreds/different races

29 are they all Apostles? Are they all Prophets? Are they all Teachers? are they all of miraculous power? No.

30 do all have the divine-gift of healing? No. Do all preach in languages/tongues? No. Do all interpret/translate? No.

31 however, be zealous for the record breaking divine-Gift (charisma), and still with respect to the way, I will show you the greatest (to all).

1COR Chapter 13

1Cor 13

SELFLESS LOVE in Christ, the greatest to every divine-Gifts

1 In case, I preach in (many) tongues/languages of men and of Angels, but do not have selfless-Love (Agape), I am generating echoes of clangings of cymbals or coppers.

2 And in case, I hold on to prophecy, and know all mysteries, and all the knowledge, even in case, I have faith to everything, in so much as to remove mountains, but do not have Agape-Love, I am nothing.

3 And in case, we are feeding all people with our possessions, and in case, we could surrender our bodies (outside Christ), at least, to brag/boast of, but do not have selfless-Love, it is of no benefit/advantage (from God)

4 selfless-Love is patient/forbear long; (and) kind; selfless-Love is not jealous; selfless-Love vaunt not of itself, does not puff up/exaggerate;

5 does not behave shamefully/improperly; not selfish/seeking after its own, not easily provoked/not hot tempered, not keeping record of wrong things,

6 not rejoicing upon wrong-doings/injustice, but rejoice together on things of the TRUTH;

7 cover over/roof over/accommodate all (the truth), have Faith unto all (the truth), Hoping for all things (of the truth), endure/forbear all (in the truth)

8 selfless-Love will never at any time fail (fall flat/drop); but whether prophecy, it will become useless; or tongues, they will stop; even knowledge, it will become useless.

9 because, from SECTIONS, we prophesy/speak by inspiration to you, and you know things from your SECTIONS (local assemblies);; [quote: 1Cor 12:27 Section is a local assembly)

10 But, whenever (you) come to completeness/FULL MATURITY of spiritual growth, things from SECTIONS will be become useless.

11 when I was a child (infant, who is yet to speak well), I preach like a child (nepios), I exercise the mind/understand like child, I keep record/reckon like a child; when I become a man, I render things of a child useless.

12 for now, you may be looking at it, through a glass as a puzzle/enigma; but by that very time, face toward face (no obscurity); moreover, you are to know things from here now in SECTIONS (local assembly); but at that very time, you would have fully-discerned, just as even I have fully-discerned (epiginosko).

13 moreover, for emphasy, for those things to abide/remain, are these three things:- Faith, pleasurable-Hope and selfless-Love (agape), however, the Greatest (to all) is selfless-LOVE (Agape).

1COR Chapter 14

1Cor 14

Paul encourages preaching in strange-Tongues but to Prophesy much more in known tongue

1 Moreover, pursue things of selfless-Love; be zealous for spiritual things, and at least prophesy more.

2 for the one preaching by tongue (glossa), preach not for men, and not for even one person to listen but God, for he preaches mysteries in the Spirit.

3 but, the one prophesying, is preaching unto edification (full structure) of men, even by exhortation and consolation.

4 the one preaching in tongue (un-acquired) is building up/edifying himself; but the one prophesying, builds up the church.

5 however, I want, you to preach in tongue, but, everybody should at least prophesy (speak by inspiration) more. Also, the greatest is the one prophesying or the one preaching in tongue, if aside not being interpreted, at least, for the church to receive edification (unto full-structure).

Speak in strange tongues towards the understanding of the church

6 So now brethren, in case I come to you, preaching in (strange) tongues, what will you benefit? Except I preach to you, either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or teaching;

7 At the same time, a mechanical/lifeless things, whether pipe, or harp could give sounds. In case, there is no uniqueness of musical notes given, how will you know, it is by playing pipe/flute or by playing on the harp?

8 because, even in case, a trumpet gives indistinct sound, who will get ready unto warfare?

9 and you, likewise, in case you do not give a well-signified/intelligible words through tongues, how will they know what is being preached? No doubt, you will be preaching unto the air.

10 As so vast as this world is, perchance, there are voices/sounds among races/kindreds/nations, and no one is dumb/voiceless.

11 therefore, in case we know the power of sound/voice, we will not be preaching as foreigner even as we preach to foreigners (Barbarian/non-Greek) among us.

12 and likewise you, since you are Zealous-persons towards the SPIRIT, seek after edification of the church, at least to superabound/excel.

13 by this reason, the one preaching in tongues, should make prayer at least to interpret.

14 because, in case, I make prayer in tongue, I make the prayer to the SPIRIT, but my mind/intellect is unfruitful/non functional.

15 what is it then? As I make prayer to the SPIRIT, I will make prayer also by mind/intellect. And as I make melody to the SPIRIT even I will make melody also by mind.

16 in case you bless in the SPIRIT and since ignoramus persons fill up the place, how will they say Amen upon your thanksgiving? Since, they did not know what you have said.

17 for you indeed give thanks very well, but the other persons are not built up.

18 # I express gratitude for you all more as I preach in tongue to God #.

19 But, in the church, I desire to preach five words by my mind/intellectual understanding, at least to indoctrinate/catechize others, rather than myriads of words in (strange) tongues.

speaking Unacquired tongue/language is a miracle to unbelievers who knows the language

20 Brethren, do not become children in cognitive faculty (rein). But in maliciousness, act as a baby; but become a full grown- age person in cognitive faculty,

21 in the law (by a prophet), it is written: in other tongues/languages and in the lips of other men, I will preach to this people, says the Supreme Lord, And they will not likewise listen to me. (Is 28:11-12)

22 thus, (strange) tongues is a wonder, not to those who have faith, but unto unbelievers/infidel; moreover, a prophecy is not for the unbelievers/infidel but for those who believe/have faith.

23 in case the whole church then, gather together, and all preach the same thing with tongues, however, upon entering in of an ignoramus person or unbeliever; will he not say that why raving as maniac?

24 but, in case all are prophesying, and certain unbeliever or ignoramus person enters, he will be scrutinized by all, and be convicted by all,

25 the secret of his heart, will become manifest, and he will likewise fall down upon his face, and worship God, and really announce that, God is within you.

Orderliness in church meetings

26 how should it be then? Whenever you gather together, and  a brother who has a tongue also has an interpretation; and each person who has a Revelation, also has a psalm and has a teaching; for all things to be generated towards edification (full structure).

27 if someone preaches in tongue, by two or at most three each, and by allotment/portion, one will interpret/expound.

28 but, in case, there is no interpreter, he should keep silent in the church; however he could preach to himself, and to God.

29 the Prophets also should preach by two or three, and another person (allos) will discern/dissect thoroughly.

30 but, in case a thing is first of all, revealed to another person (allos), sit-down and keep silent.

31 because, one person against all will be able to prophesy, at least everybody will learn, and all will be exhorted.

32 Even a prophet should be submissive to (other) prophet by the SPIRIT.

33 because God is not of disorder, but of Peace as in all the churches of the holy-saints.

Married Women/wives should not used their liberty to violate orderliness in the church - 1Tim 2:14 (this is still according to Moses law).

34 married women/wives should keep silent in the church. it should not be turned over to/allowed for them to preach; but should be submissive, even as the (Moses) law says.

35 but if she wants to learn anything, she should ask her own husband at home; for, it is indecorum/shameful for wives/married woman to preach in the church.

36 has the the word of God proceeded forth from only you either? Or did it arrive unto you? (instance of Moriah miriam-Num 12:2)

37 if anyone thinks to be a prophet, or spiritual, he should fully discern what I write to you, for they are precepts of the Lord.

38 but, if anyone does not know, he is ignorant.

Paul never outrightly talk down on speaking in strange tongues

39 Therefore, my brethren, be zealous to prophesy; and never hinder preaching in (strange) tongues.

40 and, all things will happen properly/decently according to regular arrangement/order.

1COR Chapter 15

1Cor 15

Gospel in a nutshell: Christ died, buried, resurrected with proof of eye-witnesses

1 Moreover, I have made known to you; Brethren, the good message, which I evangelized to you; which even you received to yourselves, in which you are standing.

2 through which, you are saved, if you hold fast to the words. And what you should evangelized; if aside, you have not believed idly/in vain.

3 for, I first of all, deliver to you, even what I received; for Christ Died for the sake of our sins, according to the scriptures;

4 and that He was Buried; and that He Resurrected (egeiro) the third day, according to the scriptures;

5 and that, He was seen by Cephas (Peter), afterwards the twelve.

6 Thereafter, He was seen by more than FIVE hundreds Brethren at once, out of which more people remain until the present, but some have fallen asleep (dead).

7 Thereafter, He was seen by James; afterwards, by all the Apostles.

8 however, the last of all, even I, clearly discerned Him; as it were by untimely birth/of abnormal case.

9 for, I am the least of the Apostles, who is not a competent one (hikanos) to be called forth as an Apostle, by the reason of persecuting the church of God.

10 however, by the Grace of God, I am who I am, and His Grace unto me, has not become empty, but I work hard more exceedingly than them, nevertheless, everything was not by me, but by the Grace of God on those ones who are together with me.

11 Therefore whether, it is me, or those ones, we preach in this way, and you likewise believe.

Christ resurrection is the proof of our hope

12 So, if Christ is proclaimed that He has been raised again from the dead, how will some persons among you say that, there is no resurrection of the dead? (2Tim 2:18)

13 however, if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;

14 so, if Christ has not been raised, Ara (heartfelt alas lifted to heaven), empty is our proclamation, and empty is your faith.

15 And also, we will be found to be false-witnesses of God; for we have testified concerning God, that He raised up Christ, whom HE if perhaps HE has not raised; Ara (heartfelt alas lifted to heaven) the deads will never resurrect again.

16 because, if the dead will not be raised up, not even Christ has been raised up:

17 ## so, if Christ has not been raised up, your faith would have been empty; and you would have still been in your sins.

18 Ara (a heartfelt grief lifted to heaven) even those ones who had fallen asleep in Christ would have perished, - -

19 - - if to have hope in Zoe-Life is only in that Christ, all men would have been miserable. ##

Christ resurrection subdue death for us

20 However, for emphasy, Christ has now. been raised from the dead, as the FIRST FRUIT of those who fell asleep/died.

21 No doubt, since death was through a man (Adam), even through a MAN (Jesus), is the resurrection of the dead.

22 Just as everybody would have died off in Adam, even everybody shall be (re)vitalized/(made to live) likewise in Christ.

23 also, everything will be in its own succession/orderly arrangement: Christ has been the first Fruit, and thereafter, those who are of Christ, in His return/advent.

Jesus will eventually hand over to His Father God

24 whenever, the kingdom shall be deliver up to God the FATHER; whenever, all Authorities of ancient times rules, and all powers shall be abolished; then, shall be the ultimate end.

25 because He must reign, as far as all His enemies shall be put under His feet. (Ps 110:1)

26 the enemy to be rendered useless at the latter end is death. (Rev 20:14)

27 for, it was said, all things shall be put in subjection under His feet (Ps 8:6). But, whenever, all things shall be put in subjection, it is evident that The ONE (God) who put all things in subjection to Him is exempted/outside.

28 but, whenever all things shall be put in subjection to Him, at that time, even the Son Himself will be submissive to The ONE Who subjected all things to Him, at least, for God to be all in all.

CHRIST resurrection make us fearless

29 since they are fully-washing/baptizing dead (bodies), for the sake of what do they perform it? If the dead will not rise again at all, why washing/baptizing them even for that sake?

30 and why are we in jeopardy every hour?

31 brethren who have died against the day, are indeed as sure as your boasting which we have in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

32 If according to man, I eat and drink, because next morning, I may die; (a sheer ordinary/hopeless life) (Is 22:13), of what benefit is it to me, to have been (like) a beast-fighter (encountering terribly furious men) in Ephesus (see Act19:23-), If the dead shall not be raised up?

Different Bodies with different Glory

33 never be deceived, evil companionship will corrupt good manners/habit.

34 I preach to you who righteously, hold on to things of God; rouse up from stupor, and never sin/trespass; because, ignorance of certain persons are towards acting otherwise/having no respect.

35 Certain persons have asked, on the contrary: how will the dead be raised? And, in what kind of body wil they come with?

36 You unmindful! What you sow will not be made to live/revitalize, in case, it has not died.

37 And the naked/bare kernel of seed which sower, sow, is not the body it will become, but perchance, a wheat, or any of the remaining (seed).

38 moreover, God will gives each person a body, HE desired, just as seeds are with their own bodies.

39 all flesh are not the same, but as there is another flesh indeed of man, also another flesh of domestic animals, also another flesh of birds, also another of fish.

40 but there are heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies. And the one of heavenly is indeed of different glory, also the one of the earthly are different.

41 as the glory of the sun is different, even the glory of the moon is another and the glory of the stars are different. No doubt, stars differ from stars in glory,

42 even the resurrection of the dead shall be likewise, they will be sown, in decayed (form) and in immortality/incorruptibility, they shall be raised again.

43 in disgrace/dishonor, they will be sown and be raised in glory. they will be sown in weakness, and be raised by power/miracle.

44 they will be sown, a natural body, and be raised spiritual. If there is a natural body, also there is a spiritual one.

Jesus steps into the shoe of Adam (hence the latter end Adam/earthly ancestor of man)

45 so, it is written: the first Adam generated the living souls unto men (Gen 2:7); the latter end/last Adam is unto giving Life/revitalizing by the SPIRIT. (Jh 5:25)

46 But, the spiritual was not the first, but the natural, then the spiritual.

47 The first men out of the earth are soil-like/dusty; the second men shall be from heaven.

48 Such soil-like ones are also a kind of the dust; and such ones of the heavenly, are also of a kind of the heavenly.

49 And just as we bear the resemblance/statue of the one made of the dust, even we shall bear the statue/resemblance of the One of the heavenly.

50 Moreover, Brethren, I will make my thought known on this, that flesh and blood, can neither inherit the kingdom of God, nor the one of corruption, can inherit immortality.

The mystery of catching-up of saints (harphazo) (ref: from Revelation of John)

51 Behold, I will tell you a mystery: all (the people) will not fall asleep (died), but all will be CHANGED.

52 for in an atom of time, in a twinkling of eye, by the blasting of sound of the latter end trumpet, the dead will be raised immortal, and we shall be CHANGED.

53 for, this perishable/corruptible must put on imperishable, and this mortal, shall put on immortality/deathlessness.

54 however, whenever the perishable shall put on imperishable and this mortal shall put on immortality, at that time, the written words will come into being: death is swallowed up unto victory. (Is 25:8)

55 the one of Death, where is your victory? (Hos 13:14). The one of Death, where is your sting?

56 but, the sting (poison) of the one of death is sin, and sin is the mighty-deed of the law.

Assurance of Victory is in Jesus now

57 but, by the Grace of God, we have been given victory, through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved Brethren, become steadfast and immovable, always increase in the works of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

1COR Chapter 16

1Cor 16

Givings to the Saints in Jerusalem

1 Moreover, about the contribution unto the holy saints, just as I directed the churches in Galatia (in Asia), even you should do likewise.

2 at least, for the collection not to happen when coming, on dayi-one of Sabbath week (Sunday), each of you, from his own (possession), should be laying up (titheto) what in case will be treasured up to have prosperous jouney/to succeed at the time.

3 Also whenever the letter arrives, whoever in case you have tested/approved to dispatch should carry those things away unto Jerusalem. It is by reason of Grace.

4 However, in case it is worthy for even me to go, they are to travel together with me.

Paul plan his evangelical journey to reach Jerusalem.

5 so, whenever you are going, pass through Macedonia; because I will be traveling towards Macedonia.

6 Moreover, I will effect things to stay with you, or even to stay over for the rainy season (winter), at least, you will assist in my journey, to wherever in case, I will go.

7 for, I don't want to pass (by land) to see you at present; for I hope to tarry a certain space of time with you, in case the Lord permits.

8 But, I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost (fiftieth day from passover).

9 No doubt, a great and efficient door has opened-up to me, and many are opposing it.

10 but in case Timothy comes, take heed, at least (for him) to become fearless towards you, because he is doing the work of the Lord also, like me.

11 therefore, no person should despise him, but aid his journey, at least to come to me in peace; no doubt I am expecting him, with the brethren.

12 Also concerning brother Apollos, I beseech him very much, at least to come to you with the brethren; and it is not the desire of everybody at least (for him) to come now; however, he will come when he has good time.

Final exhortation

13 Keep awake/be watchful, stand fast in Faith, act manly (andrizomai), be empowered.

14 selfless-Love for everybody should come into being among you.

15 Moreover, I exhort you, brethren, you know Stephanas households, because, they are the first-Fruit in ACHAIA (Greece in Europe) and have assigned themselves unto service to the saints,

16 at least, you are to be submissive even to such ones and to all who are fellow-workers and are working hard.

17 I will also rejoice upon the return of Stephanas (crowned), Fortunatus, and Achaicus; because these ones will fill up  deficiencies pertaining to you.

18 therefore, you should fully recognize such ones of mine, because by the SPIRIT, your will be refreshed.

Greetings

19 The churches of Asia (Asia western shore) greet you. Aquila and Prisca together with the church in their house, greet you very much in the Lord.

20 All the brethren greet you. Embrace one another (as) in a kiss of holy things (e.g Mezuzah)

21 Greetings of Paul is by my own hands.

22 If anyone does not like things of the Lord, he is to be anathema Maran-atha! (what an excommunicated person, as our master comes)

23 The Grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

24 My selfless-Love be with you all, in Christ Jesus. +Amen.+

(The first Epistle to Corinthians was written from Philippi through Stephanas (crowned), Fortunatus, and Achaicus and Timothy
