Proverb Chapter 1

 Prov 1

1 Proverbs of Solomon (peaceful), the Son of David (loving), a king in Isreal -

2 to know utterances of wisdom - and to mentally discern instructions of understanding -

3 even to receive corrections and act intelligently on verdicts of uprightness and Justification -

4 even if others are trickery, to give a Naive/gullible young man, knowledge for his plans/invention.

5 if heard attentively, the wise will add more to his doctrine/teachings - and will understand - to get guidance (for his goal).

6 the wise will understand the proverbs, and the aphorism/statement of general truth/idea - and the spoken words of riddles/maxims.

These are words of David, preparing Solomon for the throne.

7 First of all, wisdom is reverence to Jehovah and HIS instruction and knowledge, while the perversed ones will despise them.

8 My son, listen to the instructions of your father and mother as it is left in the LAW (Torah).

9 Ornaments/wreath around your head and necklace around your throat/neck is by grace.

10 My Son, sinners/criminals are willing to entice you,

11 they will say, walk down to lie in ambush for blood even to ambush the innocent without cause (gratis),

12 so that, sheol/hades will swallow up the living - and the blameless will go down into the pit -

13 just to fill their house with expensive booty - and find wealth,

14 their fate/lot will fall into a cup altogether.

15 My Son, refrain from walking down on their way, even your feet in their route.

16 their feet run into evil hasten to shed blood.

17 they toss/scatter nets without cause, even in the eyes/sight of their master;

18 they lie in ambush for blood and hide for souls;

19 their masters receives the plunder/gains they plundered from souls on the road.

20 the smart and intelligent ones are shouting outside - and give their voice in their streets -

21 calling out to the heads/chiefs by their doors, and making a loud sound, at the gate of the city, asking with the (following) utterances - -

22 why are the gullible ones love silly things? And scorners delight in mocking. Why the fools hate knowledge?

23 If they return, THE SPIRIT will be poured out on them to know HIS spoken words of correction;

24 having stretched out hands and call out to them, and they are unwilling to hearken

25 for they are willing to be loosened/free from HIS counsel and corrections -

26 laughing and mocking while sudden alarm and misfortune is coming,

27 and as sudden alarm and misfortune arrived, then (devastation) of tempest and whirlwind come - with coming of trouble and anguish:

28 then they shall get up early to find by calling out to be answered -

29 they had chosen to hate knowledge and even the fear/reverence of Jehovah; (ref:1vs7)

30 they willingly scorn/blaspheme counsel and correction.

31 now, they are to eat the fruit of their own counsel/purpose because they were satiated with their own way.

32 the gullible ones will be slain and the fool will lose their tranquility/security because of their backsliding/apostasy.

33 so listen attentively for you to dwell in safety, and be at ease from dread of evil.

Proverb Chapter 2

 Prov 2

Proverbs of David continues....

1 My Son, receive the utterances from the commandments, even if it is hidden:

2 hearken to wisdom, and spread out your ears and your heart to insight/reasonings

3 call out for understanding - and give your voice to discernment/intelligence;

4 seek after it as silver/money and search them out like hidden treasure.

5 understand the reverence of Jehovah of Elohim and find out HIS knowledge:

6 Jehovah will give you wisdom - and from HIS mouth is knowledge and insight/intelligence.

7 even if it is hidden, they are resourcefulness to walk in integrity and a shield for the Upright.

8 the Pious ones, who keep the path of HIS verdicts, are preserved on the way -

9 - it is a good track to understand the verdicts of uprightness and Justification.

10 coming of wisdom and knowledge into your heart will be well-pleasing to your soul-

11 for insight/intelligence will guard and you will be preserved in your plan/invention:

12 they will deliver you from the way of evil man who rehearses perverse things;

13 if the right path is forsaken, you will be walking in the way of darkness,

14 who are joyful in doing evil, and rejoice in the perversities of the evil:

15 distorted in their way, and their tracks is in departure:

16 they will deliver you to a foreign women, and strangers will distribute/divide their own utterances:

17 any youth who forsake the covenant, will mislay (Angelic) Eloheem as Dukes/chieftains

18 their household in the tracks of wraith/ghost will sink unto a place of death.

19 if they turn back and come, they will attain/reach the path of life;

20 the Righteous walk in that way and are preserved in that good path.

21 the blameless and the upright shall be left and permanently dwell on earth:

22 those who cover up under wickedness will be cut off and pluck away from the earth.

Proverb Chapter 3

 Prov 3

Proverbs of David continues....

1 My Son - even if others mislay it, guard your heart by commands in the Law (Torah),

2 for length of days will be added to you, and prosperous peace in all the years of your life.

3 even if others forsake it, tie/bind them to your neck because of HIS trustworthiness, - and write them on the tablet of your mind/heart because of HIS kindness:

4 it is by grace, to find intelligence which is good in the eyes of all the (Angelic) elohim and human beings (adam)

5 if others lean upon their own understanding, be confident/trust in Jehovah in your mind/heart;

6 know HIS way and be honest/upright in HIS path:

7 revere Jehovah and depart from evil, you will be smart/skillful before all eyes:

8 it is a medicine/health to your umbilical cord/center of your strength and refreshment/drink to your bones:

9 the first yield/gain of your wealth/fortune is honorable before Jehovah -

10 your storehouse will be full of plenty, even unto breaking forth of fresh grape-juice/winery:

11 My Son, others may disgust the instructions of Jehovah and be fed up of HIS correction:

12 a father will love the son who has been corrected, he will be acceptable to Jehovah -

13 Adam would have been happy, if he had found wisdom, and if human-beings/Adams are furnishing/issuing out insight/discernment:

14 to trade for profit is good, for a merchandise/emporium of silver/money is a yield /gain from diligence and hardworking:

15 pearl/ruby is costly/precious, it is equally for pleasure.

16 length of days is in HIS Right hand - and in HIS left hand is riches and glory/honor:

17 HIS way is a way of pleasantness, and HIS path is of prosperous-peace:

18 tree of life to fasten upon and maintained/sustained by being honest:

19 Jehovah founded the earth by wisdom - and prepare/established the heavens by insight/discernment; -

20 - even the abyss/bottomless-pit is ripped open in HIS knowledge, and dews drip down from the firmament;

21 My Son, even if others are perversed- keep/guard your eyes on it for it is the resourcefulness for your schemes/plans;

22 the life in the throat of your soul is by grace.

23 feet of others may stumble, but you are in a place of refuge if you walk in HIS way.

24 others may lie-down and be frightened - but you will lie down and your sleep will be pleasant:

25 When frightened by the wicked and when a sudden alarm of tempest come  - -

26 - - Jehovah, will preserve your loin and your feet from trap:

27 some human-leader (el) who withhold the good thing that a master/an owner has done with his hands -

28 - and say to (the neighbors), walk away and return, later to be given - what is in existence,

29 - who devise evil in silence for their neighbors, while they sit down secured/in safety.

30 who contend with human-beings without cause, and treat them with evil;

31 and who are jealous of a man because he has chosen violence in his ways,

32 being this perversed is an abomination to Jehovah - while the upright is in close deliberation with HIM

33 the curse of Jehovah is on the household of the wicked, but will bless the habitation of the Righteous:

34 while the mockers are mocking - HE gives grace to the lowly:

35 it is unto his glory, when the smart-one is highly raised/exalted, but a fool will inherit disgrace.

Proverb Chapter 4

 Prov 4

Proverbs of David continues....

1 My Son, hear attentively to the instructions and hearken to know the understanding of your father:

2 others may forsake it, it is a good doctrine/teaching, that is being given to you in the law (torah);

3 as a tender son of his father and the only one in the face of his mother:

4 it is said and easily pointed out that, if you retain the spoken-words in your heart and keep the commands, you will live:

5 others may mislay and then bend away from the utterances of my mouth. Oh that they will get wisdom and get understanding! -

6 instead of forsaking it, keep it, love it and you will be preserved.

7 Wisdom should be the first-thing of your acquisitions - get understanding and wisdom.

8 if embraced and cast up to be weighty, you will be promoted/highly raised;

9 it will shield your crown and give it embellishments/beauty; for those ornaments/wreath on your heads is by grace.

10 My Son, listen and receive my utterances - and the years of your life shall be multiplied.

11 the way of wisdom will easily pointed out the way to tread even to be on the right track:

12 walk along in regular steps, even if in distress - and run when others totter/waver;

13 fasten upon the instructions - even when you are feeble - it will guard your life:

14 be honest while going on the way, for the path of the wicked is evil:

15 they are passing through it, because they are loose/free to deviate/decline, and so, they pass away,

16 they rob those who are slack/stale even in their sleep: - and they do wickedness to those who totter;

17 they feed on wickedness like food, and imbibe/drink violence like wine:

18 however, light will shine on the path of the Righteous, and he walks in its brightness, established all days;

19 the way of the wicked is of gloominess - so, he is known for tottering/staggering:

20 My Son, hearken to my spoken-words - incline your ears to my utterances:

21 even if eyes of others are perversed - preserve them within your inner heart:

22 and find health unto your life and flesh:

23 like a watch-man, guard your mind/heart for the exit-things/things going forth the border of your life,

24 turn your mouth away from fraudulence, and put perverseness far away from your lips:

25 to be honest, when you are scanning/looking intently, your eyelids should be over your eyes.

26 like preparing/pressing a road with your feet, you should prepare/establish a track:

27 others may bend away from the right hand to the left hand - you should turn away your feet from evil.

Proverb Chapter 5

 Prov 5

Proverbs of David continues....

1 My Son, hearken to my wisdom - and incline your ears to my discernment/intelligence:

2 knowledge will preserve your inventions/plans, and guard your lips:

3 palate of the mouth of a stranger (woman) is like honeycomb that ooze out oil as her lips divides things- -

4 - - as sharp as edge of sword and the end will be bitter as wormwood (accursed thing),

5 her paces is to descend to a place of death, and hades/sheol (world of the dead) will retain her feet:

6 her prepared/rolled-path of life is a track known to be shaking:

7 listen-up my son, you must turn away from the utterances of her mouth:

8 be far away from her way, even far away from coming near the door of your house:

9 for your excellency/grandeur will be given to another person, and your years to a cruel person.

10 and strangers (women) will satiate your house, and the toil/labor of your strength (given) to a foreigners.

11 you will growl at the end, when the remnants/swelling out of the flesh is brought to an end:

12 it is said, a heart that hates instruction - will despise correction:

13 hear the voice that is easily pointed out to you, and incline your ears to be trained/guided:

14 there is evil in the midst of fixture of crowds and few in the congregation:

15 even if there is bore-hole; drink water that has flow/poured down into the middle of your well;

16 water that is dispersed to rill/small channel outside, and fountain in the broad-street -

17 - are of the strangers:

18 kneel to bless for your own spring, and make-merry with the wife of your youth- -

19 - - and for her breast to satisfy your thirst always is by grace. Those who erred/are misled in the time of love, like the affection of hind/doe (female deer) with roe (male wild goat)-

20 why will my son be misled, by strange woman, and be embraced in the bosom of a foreigner?

21 all eyes will be on the track of a man, if his way is prepared for the sake of Jehovah:

22 the wicked will be caught perversity, because he retain within measuring lines of  habitual-sin,

23 even if there is abundance of instructions - he can be misled and die by his silliness.

Proverb Chapter 6

 Prov 6

Proverbs of David continues, training Solomon for the throne

1 My Son, when interrelating with neighbours, even by just clasping palms with strangers,

2 utterances of your mouth can ensnare you even utterances of your mouth can catch you.

3 strictly do this, my son, to deliver your palm from the friend that come - humble yourself as you walk with a neighbor that behave arrogantly -

4 - to give sleep to your eyes, and slumbering to your eyelids.

5 - deliver your prominence/splendor from the hand that laid snares for you just as bird in a hand.

6 even if others are lazy, walk around the ants - see their way, and be wise:

7 as a guide, secretary should rule them;

8 so, they prepare food in summer, by gathering eatables from the harvested crops.

9 why being lazy? You are still lying down, will you get up from sleep?

10 from folding of hands, he lie down a little, and from little slumbering to a little sleep

11 poverty is coming to a man who walk around, lacking a shield,

12 - like Adam, this man walks around, exerting his mouth in perversity and worthless things (belial),

13 - he rhyme/narrate what he easily point out with fingers, squeeze out with eyes and feet.

14 fraud/perversity is in his heart, and as he devises evil in silence, it is time to send forth - (discord) and strife.

15 there comes a sudden misfortune and in a moment, his health will breaks down.

16 souls hate these six things, and the seven (in full) are abominations to Jehovah;

17 eyes that is highly raised/haughty, tongue that is deceitful, hand that shed innocent blood,

18 the mind/heart that devise imaginations of exerting self in vain and the feet that is swift in running to evil,

19 a false witness that send forth falsehood, and a brother that kindle discord.

20 My Son, guard the commands of your father and mother as it is left in the law (Torah):

21 connect them to your mind/heart, and continually tie them to your neck:

22 meditate/converse with yourself, when you wake up; to guide you while walking around and to preserve you when you lie down,

23 the commandment is a lamp of instructions and the law (Torah) is a light of correction - to the way of life:

24 to preserve you from foreign women/wives and portions of their evil-tongue,

25 even if others are taken by her eyelids, - delight in the beauty of her inner heart;

26 on account of a whorish/wanton woman, for a round of bread, woman will hunt the precious soul of man:

27 Why will a man will chop and set on fire as a cover up in his bosom?

28 Why will a man walk around on kindled coals, to blister/prick his feet?

29 if others would touch, exonerate yourself, when a neighbor's wife come;

30 a thief, who steal to fill his hungry soul will still be despised, - -

31 - and must find and give seven times of the wealth/fortune of his household to be safe.

32 a wife that commit adultery is destitute in her mind/heart - making her own soul decayed/corrupted;

33 if it is found out, she must erase her reproach and infliction of disgrace;

34 even a valiant-man will pity her on the day of vengeance because of the heat/rage of jealousy,

35 and faces will be lifted up unto a ransom/bribe - and they would be willing to even increase the redemptive gifts.

Proverb Chapter 7

 Prov 7

Proverbs of David continues, training Solomon for the throne

1 My Son, if others hide it, you must keep the utterances of the commandments:

2 preserve the commands to live - for the law (Torah) is like apple/ball of the eye.

3 connect them to your heart and write them upon the tablet with your finger:

4 as a sister will call out to kinswoman, so is wisdom to understanding.

5 preserve yourself from strange woman and foreigners who distribute their utterances :

6 it is a loophole like windows to lean out to/watch your household

7 My son, I have seen the simple/gullible young man who is destitute of understanding in his mind/heart; -

8 - he crosses over the street to a side of a corner - pacing up the way from his house; -

9 - even from twilight in the evening unto the night, when eye-ball is in the duskiness of the day-

10 even if he guard his heart, there will be an encounter with a wanton woman positioned - -

11 - - to clamor, so he can turn away - his feet from his household and dwell with her.

12 at one time, she is lurking outside in the streets, and at other time, at the side of the corner,

13 - fasten upon him with kissing, as she says with hardened face, -

14 - it is a day of peace offering as a sacrifice of my vow to be at peace:

15 - so I get up early and go forth, only to find an encounter with your face,

16 - my couch/canopy is of a coverlet of twisted-yarn and the tapestry from Egypt, and multiplied effect--

17 - - in my bedchamber is waving to and fro of myrrh, cinnamon perfumes in my tents - -

18 - uncle has walked away to satisfy his thirst till morning - to leap for joy with his love,

19 even the man of the house has walked far away on the road;

20 and had taken in his hand, bag and silver/money, so he will be coming to the house in fullness of his days.

21 With his abundant learnings; he will be thrust away/led astray by the allotment/shares spread out through her lips :

22 even upon the instructions, a fool will suddenly walk away with her thereafter, like an ox with ankle-fetter to a slaughter.

23 - even souls should know, that a bird that hasten to a snare, its liver will be pierced with arrow.

24 My son, listen and hearken to the utterances of my mouth:

25 should your heart deviate to her way, you will go astray from your track;

26 many have been pierced/wounded - and the powerful/with huge bone had fallen down and were slain:

27 from inner-chamber of their house, only for them to be on the way to a place of death and descend to sheol/hades.
