Proverb Chapter 20

 Prov 20

Proverb of Solomon continues...

1 Be wise for wine is unto mocking, and alcoholic liquor/strong drink is unto great commotion and being misled.

2 Growling from village of (bold) infidel - is a terror to the king and a soul that cross over has sinned.

3 there will be cessation/rest from contention when man is in glory - but a fool will be obstinate:

4 A lazy man will devise in silence on crop gatherered and demand for the harvest.

5 counsel is like water in a deep valley - and a man of discernment draw it out in the heart of men:

6 who is that man that call out for abundance of kindness from Adam, and when will this man find his trust?

7 the Righteous will walk in integrity - and happy are his sons who are coming behind:

8 A king that sit down on the throne will winnow/purge evil eyes by justice of law:

9 who can say, his heart/mind is clean and pure from habitual sins?

10 A stone unit of weights (6.3kg) INSTEAD of an (Egyptian) ephah unit for a measure of grains (35kg), even if it is two times, it is likewise an abomination to Jehovah:

11 The upright will discern from the inventions of a young man, if his deed is pure:

12 The ears for hearing and eyes for seeing; Jehovah created the two:

13 if you love food, open your eyes from sleep and you will inherit and be satiated:

14 if you depart from evil unto evil, you will get what is said and be praised.

15 Gold and pearls/rubies are for expensive materials (jewel)-but lips with abundant knowledge is a possession. 

16 the one who meddle with strange-woman is bound to pledge to a foreigner, a thing to be received to cover up.

17 a lie can be sweet to a man like bread but will afterwards fill his mouth with gravel:

18 Thoughts is prepared by counsel, but subterfuge/trick will create war:

19 Walking around meddling as a gossip, you will be enticed to discover/reveal secrets of lips:

20 if you despise your father or mother, as lamp is extinguished, even the apple of your eye will be in darkness:

21 An inheritance may be got hastily at first and afterwards - you will kneel to bless. 

22 it is said, to be safe from evil, hope in Jehovah and you shall be saved:

23 A stone unit of weight is good, but a deceitful pair of scales is an abomination to Jehovah:

24 if the steps/parade of a valiant-man is understood by Jehovah, what about the way of Adam?

25 Blurting/Speaking inconsiderately about the promise/vow to the Holy One was the trap unto Adam, as we afterwards searched out:

26 A clever king will restore a revolving wheel that morally wrong things by winnowing/purging. 

27 As wind and lamp in the inner chamber/room, Jehovah will search out the belly of Adam:

28 by kindness and trustworthiness the king will be protected and by kindness his throne shall be upheld: 

29 beautiful ornaments of the youth is their valor/ strength, however the splendor of the aged men is their old age:

30 As you blow/beat out bedchamber and a purifier/cleaner for wound of bruises, so with the evil in the belly.
