Psalm Chapter 42

Book 2 (Ps 42-72, these are educative poems by sons of Kora, Asaph and excerpt from stories of David)

Ps 42

The eminent music, of instructive or didactic poem (maschil), by sons of Korach (ice):

1 Just as Rams/Deers long for channels of brooks for water, Souls long for things from their leaders/Elohim;

2 the Mighty One over Elohim (Ela-elohim); come and see how souls thirst for LIFE in the face of their Leaders (Elohim)?

3 our leaders (Elohim) are asking day and night, should there be weeping/tears because of daily-bread/food?

4 to our Leaders (Elohim); remember the total amount of things poured out as souls that cross over, with their households, with voices of thanksgiving, and shout of joy, even the shaking/sway of the crowd at the holy-day-celebrations:

5 why, in the face of those leaders (Elohim) are souls depressed, and are holding out their hands, clamoring and waiting for salvation?

6 to our Leaders (Elohim): souls are depressed as though, they are to be saddened on earth, when they remembered from things pertaining to Mount-Hermon, mountains of Lebanon and Jordan. 

7 call out, like the sound of a burst/sudden disruption as waves cross over from abyss through channel/gutter into (another) abyss. 

8 the main-Leader (el) should command intercession prayer for Life daily and sing songs by night for the kindness of YEHOVAH.

9 ask the Main-Leader (el), Why are we walking around craggy Rock, mislaid, and in dark colored cloth (mourning) under the oppression of the enemies? 

10 ask the leaders (elohim); why being besieged and being reproached/spitefully used and the murder/crushing of strong bones all day?

11 for how long, in the face of those leaders (Elohim), even these leaders will souls be depressed, and be holding out hands, clamoring and waiting for salvation?
