Ps 126
Song of degree/progressions (thoughts rising to the climax)
1 When Jehovah shall restores Zion, as dreamt concerning the return/home-coming;
2 our mouth will be replenished with laughter and our tongue with a shout of joy. We will say among the heathen-nations, magnify Jehovah, WHO has done it:
3 we will magnify Jehovah Who has done it and be joyful:
4 Jehovah will restore the exiles through the channels/streams in the South (Negev desert);
5 we have sown with tears, we will shout for joy while reaping:
6 we have walked around, dragging and weeping, walking along lifting up seeds, but we shall come, with a shout of joy, because we are coming with our sheaves/bundle of grains lifted up.
