Psalm Chapter 74

Ps 74

Instructive poem by Asaph;

1 Why will all leaders of men(Elohim), neglect the end-goal? Why should the grazing-ground for the flock/sheep be on smoke because of their wrath?

2 remember the fixture of people, who acquire the inheritance, redeemed from ancient time, for our tribes, even the mount Zion, which is for us to permanently dwell in;

3 the enemy who are highly raised up, had done evil against our Holy sanctuary at once, which is, a ruin unto the end-goal;

4 They fix due time, - put a flag in our midst for a signal; they besieged us, and there was rumbling.

5 it was like coming onto the top of an entangled-thicket of wood with axes;

6 they stumbled/lost footing altogether by striking, and they sculpt/carve them by peeling. 

7 they send fire on our consecrated-place where HIS Name and tabernacle on earth is given a space. 

8 it is said, it is a main-leader who is violent/enraged in his heart, that will fix time to burn down his land altogether. 

9 as far as we know; we have seen the signs - from the prophets -

10 who are the enemies that insult us in the tight place because of our end goal? Why are their leaders blaspheming the Name?

11 who will be from HIS bosom, that will bring this thing within us to an end, with a Hand from HIS Right Hand?

12 the King and his elohim, who will habitually practice things towards salvation within us, as of the ancient time on earth.

13 who, by His great strength, waters will be violated (only) by bursting of the head of marine-monsters/whale of the sea:

14, who, will crush the head of livyathan (crocodile) and the (beasts) in desert shall be given as meat to His people:

15 even though some fountain have dried up, He will rip them open for the continuation/ever flowing of river to our estates.

16 He will establish the sun for the day and luminous bodies/lights for the night:

17 Just as we were formed/shaped from the earth and boundary was set up/station for summer and winter;

18 Jehovah will remember HIS people, even the enemy that insult them and the villains that blaspheme HIS Name;

19 if the afflicted have been mislaid, HE will spy out for them and gives Life to souls as the end goal:

20 if the dark place of the earth is replenished with violence, we will find pleasant things that sprout out of HIS covenant. 

21 HE will restore the afflicted that are crushed/oppresed and the poor that is taunted and they will praise HIS NAME.

22 Arise, all Elohim, remember the reproach of the villains/opposers (Nabal) and contend with their contentions/controversy all day.

23 Arise and mislay the sound of those that besiege you, and their tumult that goes up continually.
