Acts Chapter 1

Introduction 

The record of the Acts of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles and the holy-saints - unto WHOM Apostles craved for and Angels lean over or stoop down to observe in action (1Pet1:12), - was penned down by Luke for the benefit of informing Governor Theophilus and others. The first record of Luke (Gospels according to Luke) is a biography of what Jesus did and taught, while the Book of Acts is the account of what the Messengers of the gospel of Jesus did and taught by instrumentality of the Holy Spirit, WHO is the secret of their success. Their mistakes, and challenges were not left out. The book probably was written in A.D 61, since Paul arrived at Rome about A.D 59.

Act 1

Luke introduced the book to Governor Theophilus 

1 Oh Theophilus (friend of God), the first account/words I did was concerning all things, which Jesus indeed, began to do and teach.

2 until the day which the Apostles, who have been chosen, are commanded to take over through the HOLY-SPIRIT, 

3 having suffered on account of many things, He presented Himself ALIVE, with indisputable EVIDENCE and Who was seen among them for FORTY (40) days, saying things concerning the kingdom of God.

The Promise of the HOLY-SPIRIT is for all

4 And he commanded them to assemble together, and not to separate but to stay around Jerusalem for the PROMISE of the FATHER. From what I heard;

5 John indeed baptized (fully wet) with water; however, you will be baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT (be overwhelmed in great measure). but HE is not with many (people) by that day (cf: Mary in Lk 1:35)

6 therefore, those who came together asked Him, saying, Lord, if You are indeed restoring this kingdom to Israel, in what space of time will it be?

7 He told them, it is not for you to know indeed, the space of time in which the FATHER has set it, or the due time in HIS own authority.

8 but the Holy SPIRIT will supervene/come upon you, and having received the miraculous Power (Lk 1:35), you will be My Witnesses, in Jerusalem, and Judea, and Samaria, and among all people, even until the latter end of the earth.

Jesus Christ ascends to heaven 

9 And having said these, they are looking at Him, being raised up/exalted and clouds carried Him upward (take Him from under), away from their eyes.

10 And as He traveled, they were looking intently into the heaven, and behold, two, in white clothing, were standing beside the fellow-men,

11 to whom they said, fellow Galileans men, why are you standing still, looking into the sky? This Jesus, Who has been taken up from you into heaven, will likewise come in the mode you see Him traveling into heaven.

Disciples return from Galilee and Enter the Prayer room in Jerusalem with one prayer point (50-47=3 days to Pentecost) 

12 By holding on to things they were called out for, they were on the way for sabbath week (7 days) unto mount Olive near Jerusalem, from which they could return at any time to Jerusalem.

13 And when they entered in, they went up to the upper room, where Peter in addition to John and James and Andrew, Phillip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Mathew, James, a son of Alphaeus and Simon, a zealous one, and Judah, son of Jacob are to fully stay.

14 All these men, together with their brethren, were to persevere unanimously in oratory prayer, together with women, and Moriah-maria the mother of Jesus.

The election of Matthias to replace Judah Iscariot. 

15 And on a day, this Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren and even people of name are upon the same (place), about a hundred and twenty, saying:

16 fellow-men and brethren, scripture must be fulfiled, which the Holy Spirit has spoken beforehand through the mouth of David, about Judah (Iscariot), who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus;

17 for he was listed/numbered among us, and was alloted a part in this ministry.

18 then, he happened to lean forward/lie prostrate, burst asunder midway and all his bowel (splanchna) indeed gush out, and a plot of ground was acquired from wages of injustice of this man. 

19 and it becomes well known to all dwellers in Jerusalem, in so much that the plot of ground is called in their own dialect; akeldama, that is, field of blood.

20 for it is written in the book of psalm: his habitation will become desert, and no one person will reside in it; (Ps 69:25) and, his bishopric office, another will take. (Ps 109:8)

21 therefore, we must assemble together, fellow-men, - who in the space of time, the Lord Jesus, was entering in and going out among everybody, - have been with us.

22 beginning away from the baptisma of John, until the day He was taken up away from us; this person who is to become one of the witnesses of His resurrection together with us.

23 And they call forth two persons to stand: Joseph surnamed BarSabbas (son that pleases), and Matthias (gift of Jah) who is Justus.

24 and they make prayer, saying, oh You, Lord, the HEART-KNOWER of all, show which one is chosen, out of these two,

25 to take the place of this apostleship from the ministry in which Judah (Iscariot) went contrary, and departed unto his own place.

26 And they gave lot on them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was enrolled with the eleven Apostles.

Acts Chapter 2

Act 2

The Holy Spirit Baptism, on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem 

1 And the days fully summed up, on Pentecost festival (FIFTIETH day after Passover), and they were all at the same place upon the same thing.

2 And suddenly, there happened to be a Breath/whiff/breeze just as bringing a violent echo (a resounding noise) and IT fully fill all the house where they were sitting down. (Jh3:8).

3 And they clearly discerned, the ONE as of FIRE, Who is to divide/distribute tongues/languages to them, and HE settled down upon each person. (Matt 3:12, Lk 3:15)

4 And the SPIRIT of the Holy ONE, fill up everybody and they begin to preach in different other tongues (languages), just as the SPIRIT gives them to plainly speak  out.

The reactions of on lookers to the first miracle of divers tongues/languages

5 Moreover, there has been Jews dwelling in Jerusalem and devout fellow-men from all nations under the sky;

6 So, by that sound generated, multitude came together and were perplexed, because one person heard each of them, preaches in his own dialect.

7 behold, they were amazed and wondered, saying, are all these ones preaching not Galileans?

8 And how do we hear each person in our own dialects, in which we were born?

9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites (Persians); and Judeans who dwell in Mesopotamia (Asia region between Euphrates and Tigris) in addition to Cappodocia and Pontus (sea) of Asia;

10 according to those spreading/visiting from Phrygia, Pamphylia (every tribes), Egypt (land of Nile), and the Section of Libya (Africa), Cyrene (Africa), and Roman, 

11 even in addition to the Jews who heard them, are the proselytes (the new converts to Judaism) from Cretans and Arabians, preaching lofty/magnificent things of God, in their own languages, 

12 so, all were amazed and nonplussed, others who desire it, say towards others, how could this thing be?

13 moreover, different others mock, saying, they are full of fresh-juice

Peter's first sermon: ministry started in Jerusalem

14 So, Peter, together with the eleven, stood up and he raised up his voice, and plainly speak forth to them. Fellow men of Judea, and all Jerusalem dwellers, for this to be well-known to you, so listen to my utterances:

15 because, these ones are not drunk as you assumed, for, it is the third hour of the day (9am);

16 this is what was spoken through prophet Joel,

17 And it will be in the latter end of the days, says God, I will pour out from MY SPIRIT upon all flesh; and your sons, and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your elders will dream dreams.

18 No doubt, I will pour out of MY SPIRIT, upon MY servants, and upon MY female servants in those days, and they shall prophesy;

19 and I will give wonders of smoke and vapor/mist in the sky above, and signs of blood and fire upon the earth below;

20 the sun will transmute into blood, and the moon into darkness before the  coming of the great day and prominent manifestation (epiphane) of the Lord.

21 And, everyone who in case call upon the Name of the Supreme-Lord shall be saved. (Joel 2:28-32) 

22 Fellow men, hear this words: Jesus of Nazareth, A Fellow-Man from God, Who shew off/demonstrated miraculous power and wonders and signs unto you, which God did through Him, just as the lsrealites in your midst knew. 

23 and through the will and foreknowledge of God, He was predestined to be given out to the hands of the lawless people, to be anhilated and crucified;

24 Whom God raised up, having loosened/broken down the travail/pang of death, in as much as He is powerful, and could not to be detained under it.

25 for, it was said unto David because of everybody: I foresee Him before the Supreme Lord, because He is out from the Right Hand, at least I shall not be shaken.

26 by this reason, I will make merry by my tongue, and my flesh will exult (jump for joy), however, my heart will still lodge/tent down upon pleasurable hope;

27 for, I will not leave Your soul unto hades, nor the One I give Mercy/Grace (divinely right qualities) to see decay/corruption. 

28 to make known to me the way of zoe-Life, and fully fill me with joyfulness in YOUR presence. (Psalm16:8-11).

29 Fellow-men and brethren, it is right to speak with boldness towards you, about the Patriarch David, that even he died and was buried, and his grave is within us until this day.

30 therefore, we know by prophets, that God has sworn on oath to him, that from the fruits of his loin, a sub-ruler will settle down upon his throne.

31 having foreseen it, he preached concerning the resurrection of Christ, that neither will He be forsaken in hades, nor will His flesh see corruption/decay.

32 This Jesus is Whom God has raised up, and we are the witnesses of everything.

33 therefore, He has been exalted to the Right Hand of God, and in addition, the Promise of the HOLY Spirit, we heard from the fathers, this has been poured out and received, and which you have seen.

34 for, David did not ascend into heaven, however he said, Jehovah said unto my Adoni, sit down (to operate) out of MY Right Hand,

35 until possibly I put Your enemies (as footstool) under Your feet. (Ps110:1)

36 therefore, know assuredly, all the household of Israel, that God has made this same Jesus, Whom you crucified, the Lord (Emperor of the earth) and Christ.

37 So, the hearts of the fellow-men and brethren who heard, were pierced, in addition they say to Peter and the remaining Apostles, what shall we do?

38 So, Peter says toward them, repent (think differently) and be baptized, everyone of you, upon the Name of Jesus Christ, unto freedom from your sins, and you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit.

39 for the promise of God is for you, and your children, and to all who are at long distance; as much as we will possibly invite unto the Lord.

A rapid church increase by his teaching: about 3000 souls 

40 others in addition, exhorted and earnestly testified to them by more quality words; by saying: be saved from this crooked generation.

41 therefore, they indeed fully-welcomed the words and were baptized; and about three thousands souls were added on that day.

42 moreover, they are constantly diligent in the teaching of the Apostles and partnership in the breaking of bread, and oratory prayers.

43 Moreover, all souls happens to be in FEAR, even by many signs and wonders which happened, through the Apostles.

Equal wealth-distribution among brethren 'ENFORCED' (though it is a wrong approach)

44 Moreover, all (the people) believed upon same thing, and absolutely all things they have are common (shared by all);

45 and they sell possessions and wealth and divide/distribute them to everybody, according to which anyone has need.

46 they constantly continue with one accord, in the temple, braking bread according to households with respect to days, and partake of the food in simplicity of heart and exultation 

47 praising God, and holding on to the Grace of the Lord towards the whole people. Also, those who are saved are being added upon them with respect to days.

Acts Chapter 3

Acts 3

A lame man was healed by Peter and John in Jerusalem temple

1 Moreover, Peter and John went up into the temple upon the ninth hour (3pm) for oratory prayer.

2 A fellow-man, was lame from his mother's womb, and certain persons would carry him with respect to days, and placed him towards the gate of the temple, called Timely (of the right hour), to ask for alms from sub-rulers, entering into the temple;

3 he saw Peter and John, who were about to enter into the temple, and beg to receive alms.

4 but, Peter together with John gaze intently unto him, and say, look unto us;

5 so, he pays attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.

6 and Peter says, there is no possession of silver and gold (money), however, what I have, this I will give to you: in the Name; Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, rise up and walk!

7 And having hold/seize his right hand, he was raised up; his feet and the ankles also are made strong, besides money.

8 And he stands, moves out excited and walks around, and enters into the temple with them, excited, walking and moving and praising God.

9 And all the people see him walking around praising God, 

10 also acknowledged that he has been sitting down towards Timely gate of the temple for alms; and they are filled with astonishment and ecstasy upon what has transpired with him.

Peter's second sermon in Jerusalem

11 however, he held fast to Peter and John, and all the people, who are greatly amazed, and rush together to them upon a porch called Solomon.

12 So, Peter having seen them, answers toward the people, Fellow-men and Israelites, why wondered upon this? Or why do you gaze intently upon us, as though, our own power or piety has made him walk?

13 the God of Abraham, and of Isaak, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His Servant, Jesus, Whom you surrendered and deny in the presence of Pilate, who would have indeed decided/judged, to release Him;

14 but, you denied the Holy One and the Righteous One, and your fellow-men asked for a murderer to be forgiven by favor.

15 however, you killed the Chief-Leader (Author) of Zoe-Life, Whom God had raised up out of the dead, of whom we are witnesses (martyrs).

16 And, this man whom you see has been made strong upon Faith in His Name; and know that through Faith unto Him, this man before you all, has given whole-lot of integrity to His Name.

17 And now, brethren, exactly like your rulers, I know that you have acted according to ignorance;

18 but, what God foretold through the mouth of His prophets, (that) His Christ will suffer, has been fulfilled in that way.

19 therefore, repent and return, towards blotting out of your sins,

#anyhow, the time of refreshments (breath recovery) will possibly come from the presence of the the Supreme Lord, 

20 WHO have sent Jesus Christ to manage/handle it for you in advance.

21 Who indeed MUST be accepted by God to heaven, until the space of time of reconstitution of all things, which was preached through the mouth of prophets away from ages to HIS saints.

22 Moses indeed said, that, by Jehovah (your) God, a Prophet will arise out of your brethren, like me; listen to Him in all things, as much as he will possibly preach to you.

23 for, it shall be that, all souls  some of who in case would not listen to that Prophet, will be destroyed out from the people. (Deut 18:15-19)

24 also, all the prophets, away from Samuel, and as many who had preached afterwards, have proclaimed these days.

25 You are the sons whom the prophets/inspired speakers, will dispose the covenant of God, which was towards your fathers; by saying towards Abraham, even in your Offspring, will I confer blessings on all the families (paternal descent) on the earth. (Gen 22:18) 

26 God has sent Him to bless each one of you first; He has risen up for your boys and girls to turn away from depravities,

Acts Chapter 4

Acts 4

Peter and John arrested in Jerusalem 

1 Moreover, as they are preaching to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees stand upon them,

2 and they felt worried on account of the people, for teaching them, even in proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus, from the dead;

3 and they laid hands on them, and put them into custody unto next day; for it has been evening already.

4 however, many people who heard the words believed, and the number of men became about five thousands.

Peter's defence (note: they are to defend before family of the same Apostle John)

5 Moreover, it happens upon the next day, the Rulers, their Presbyterians and the Scribes in Jerusalem, assembled together.

6 And Annas (HananiYah), the high priest, and Caiaphas, and Alexander (man defender), and as many like John that are from the kindred pertaining to the high priest.

7 they were put in the middle, and questioned: in what kind of power, or in what kind of name (authority), have you done this thing?

8 at this time, Peter who was filled with the Holy Spirit, said to the Rulers of the people and their Sahendrists, 

9 if we are being scrutinized this day upon a good-work on a feeble person, and how this fellow-man has been saved?

10 Everythings on this, are well known to you, and to all the people of Israel, that, this man before you is presented healthy, in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, Whom you crucified and Whom God raised out of the dead.

11 this is the Stone despised under your builders, which happens to be unto the head/top most part of the corner. (Ps118:22) 

12 And, there is no salvation in any other, for there is no another name under the sky, given among men, in which we MUST be saved.

The anti-gospel verdicts against the Apostles 

13 So, by seeing the frank outspokenness of Peter and John, they marvelled because they are unschooled/illiterate men, and ignoramus, in addition, they acknowledge them, that they are occupied with things of Jesus.

14 in addition, by looking at the man, who has been ministered healing to, standing with them, they have nothing to dispute.

15 So, they order them to go outside the Council, and they consult towards one another,

16 saying, what shall we do to these men? No doubt, an open/apparent sign, indeed, has happened through them, well known to all Jerusalem dwellers, and cannot be denied.

17 But, at least, not to be spread further unto the people, they threaten them not to preach anything upon this Name to any man any longer, 

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak nor teach at all, upon the Name; Jesus.

19 However, Peter and John, answered, and tell them, to judge before God, if a righteous person will listen to you, rather than God;

20 for, we can not but preach, what we have clearly discerned and heard.

21 and they found nothing on how to punish them, on account of the people, for everybody is glorifying God upon what has happened; so, they threatened them further and dismiss them.

22 because, the man upon whom this miracle of healing happened was more than forty-years (old).

After the verdicts, comes a prayer in unison on 3 prayer points

23 having been dismissed, they come unto their own people, and they reported as much as chief-priests and the Sahendrists had said to them.

24 so, they heard and lifted up their voices unanimously and say, the Absolute RULER (Despota), YOU are God, WHO made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all that are in them,

25 YOU have spoken by the Holy Spirit, to our fathers, through the mouth of YOUR child David: why are the heathen-nations raging, and the people, imagine vain things?

26 the kings of the earth stand by and their rulers gather together against the Supreme Lord and against HIS Christ. (Ps 2:1)

27 for, Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with heathen nations even in addition, the people of Israel, have gathered together upon the Truth in this city, upon Jesus YOUR Holy-Child, Whom YOU have anointed, 

28 do as much as YOUR Hand, and counsel had predetermined to happen.

29 And now, the Supreme Lord, look upon their threatening, and give your servants, the frank outspokenness to preach YOUR words amid everybody.

30 stretch forth YOUR Hand unto healing, for signs and wonders to happen through the Name of YOUR Holy-Child, Jesus.

31 And they pray, and absolutely all are filled with the Holy Spirit, even the place in which they were assembled shake, and they preach the word of God, with boldness.

First method of giving to enforce equality, by the Apostle continues

32 Moreover, the multitude who believe, were of one heart and soul, and no one claim anything under his possession to be his own, but all their things are common (shared by all)

33 And the great part is the miraculous power, by the Apostles to give out the testimony (of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus); and the greatest, is the Grace upon them for everybody.

34 because, not even anyone among them LACK; (Deut 15:4) for, as many owners of lands or houses, sell their possession, and bring the value for what has been sold,

35 and they will put it beside the feet of the Apostles, to be distributed to each person, according as anyone possibly has need.

36 Joseph also called BarNabas (son of prophecy/inspired words) by the Apostles, which is, translated, son of exhortation/encouragement (parasklesis), a Levite from Cypriot's kindred,

37 sell a piece of land under his possession, and bring the money and put toward the feet of the Apostles.

Acts Chapter 5

Acts 5

The first method of giving failed

1 Nevertheless, a certain man, Ananias by name, together with Sapphire, his wife, sold a property,

2 and keep back from the price. And the wife was privy to it. And they bring a certain part, and put it beside the feet of the Apostles.

3 so, Peter said, Ananias, why did satan fully fill your heart, because you lie to the Holy Spirit by keeping back from the money paid/values of the land?

4 are you not indeed staying in a place? And having sold it, was the possession not indeed remains within your authority? why did you put this matter (pragma) in your heart? You have not lied to man, but to God.

5 so, Ananias heard these words, and the mega part is that, he fell down, and give up the ghost. And fear happens to be upon all who heard it.

6 the young men stand up and wrap him together, and carry him out to bury.

7 Moreover, as it become a space of three hours intervals, even his wife entered, not knowing what has happened, 

8 so, Peter responded to her, tell me, if for at so much, you give away the land? Also she says, yes, it is for that much.

9 So, Peter says to her, why is it that you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Supreme Lord? Behold, the feet of those who bury your husband are upon the door, they will also carry you out.

10 she also fell down towards his feet, (besides any effort) and breathe her last. Also, the young men entered and found her dead; and carried her out, to be buried by her husband.

11 And the great part is that, there happens to be FEAR upon the whole church and upon all who heard this thing.

Signs and wonders; the hallmark of the Church of Christ 

12 Moreover, many signs and wonders happened among the people through the hand of the Apostles; and absolutely all were in one accord in the inner-piazza of Solomon. 

13 however, none of the rest dare the same thing, but people who joined them are made great.

14 So, multitudes who have faith unto the Lord are added, more men and women in addition,

15 in so much that even the sick ones are brought out unto open square, and put on pallets and mat, and if Peter is coming, at least his shadow will overshadow some of them.

16 So, multitudes assembled together all round the city of Jerusalem, bringing the sick, some of who were harassed under unclean spirits, and they minister healing to absolutely all.

Apostles were arrested but miraculously released by Angel from the prison 

17 Moreover, the High-priest stand up, and all those with him, being of the sect (heresy) of Sadducees, filled with jealousy, 

18 and they laid hand upon the Apostles, and put them in public watching-custody.

19 but the Angel of the Supreme Lord, by night, opened up the prison and lead them out through the door, and say,

20 Go to the people, and stand forth in the temple, to preach this utterances of Zoe-life to everybody. 

21 so, they entered into the temple even to teach. Moreover, at dawn, those under the High priest arrives and called together the council of sahendrin, together with the senate/the aged men of the children of Israel, to bring those who were sent unto the custody, to listen to them.

Apostle on another defence before Jewish Council again 

22 but the officers arrived and did not find them in the prison; so they return to report back,

23 saying that, we find the prison shut, by all security (locks), and the Guards/Watchers were standing upon the doors; but in opening up the inside, nobody was found. 

24 so, as they heard this account/words, the captain of the temple and the high-priest were perplexed concerning this thing: what possibly has happened to them?

25 but, someone arrived and reported to them, behold! , the fellow-men whom you put in the prison are standing in the temple, teaching the people.

26 then, the captain together with the officers go away to bring them, not with force, for, they fear, not being stoned by the people.

27 so, they were brought, to stand within the joint session. And the high-priest asked them,

28 haven't we commanded you not to teach in this Name? And behold, your mandate and teachings have fully-fill Jerusalem, and you are willing to bring the blood of this man upon us.

29 however, Peter and the Apostles answered, and say, we must submit to rulership of God, rather than man.

30 for God of our fathers has raised up Jesus, whom you rough-handled, and hanged upon a tree.

31 God has exalted Him to HIS Right Hand, (Who is) the Chief-Leader (Author) and Saviour who gives freedom from sins to Israel by repentance.

32 And we are the witnesses of these utterances (rhema), and God has given the HOLY SPIRIT to those who submit to His Rulership.

The counsel of Prof. Gamaliel (a learnt Lawyer)

33 Moreover, having heard, they are willing to slay by piercing them through.

34 but someone stood up, in the Joint-session, a Pharisee, Gamaliel by name, an honorable teacher of the law, who have done things for people. He ordered all men to be outside for a short while;

35 and he said, Israelites, be cautious of what you are about to do upon these men, even to your own fellow-men,

36 because, before these days, Theudas stood up, who said/claimed to be somebody himself, toward whom by bias/partiality, a number of fellow-men, about four-hundreds, killed and all, as many that were persuaded by him, were scattered, and he happened to be unto nothing.

37 Amid this, Judah the Galilean in the days of enrollment, stood up, and people drew behind him; and he perished, and all, as many as were persuaded by him were scattered.

38 And now, I tell you, depart away from these men, and let them alone, for in case this counsel or this work is from men, it will be overthrown;

39 but, if it is from God, we can not demolish it, and not to be found at any time to be God's opponents. 

40 So, they were persuaded; and they summoned the Apostles, who they beat and commanded not to preach in the Name of Jesus, and dismiss.

41 therefore, they departed, rejoicing indeed, from the presence of the Joint council, for, they are worthy to be maltreated for the sake of the Name.

42 in addition, they do not cease to teach and announce the good news of Christ, Jesus, all day, in the temple and with respect to households. 

Acts Chapter 6

Acts 6

First Seven Deacons were chosen 

1 Moreover, in those days, disciples increased, and there happened to be grumbling of Hellenists (Greek speaking people) towards the Hebrews, for their widows were neglected in the daily relief-service.

2 So, the Twelve summoned, the multitude of disciples, saying, it is not acceptable to us, to abandon the Word of God, and be waiting upon/serving on the counter/table.

3 Brethren, look out for seven fellow-men from you, who had testified to this wisdom, and are full of the SPIRIT, who could be designated upon the affairs.

4 but we will persevere in oratory prayer and ministering of the word.

5 And the word was pleasing before all the multitudes. and they chose, STEPHEN, a man full of Faith and Holy Spirit, and PHILLIP (fond of horses) and Prochorus (dance before), and Nicanor (victorious), and Timon (valuable) and Permenas (constant), NICOLAS (victorious over people) a proselyte of Antioch, (Rev 2)

6 who were set before the Apostles; and having made prayer, they lay hands on them.

7 And Faith of multitude grow, and the number of disciples in Jerusalem exceedingly increased, in addition, many PRIESTS listen attentively to the words of God.

Deacon Stephen testified and was accused of blasphemy

8 Moreover, Stephen, was full of Grace (charistos) and Power, did great signs and wonders among the people.

9 but certain persons from the synagogue called Libertine (freedmen) arose, the Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and those from Cilicians of Asia minor, jointly dispute with Stephen. (1Tim 1:20, 2Tim 4:14)

10 And they can not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by which he preaches.

11 At a time, they stealthily set up fellow-men, who says, we hear him preaching blasphemous utterances unto Moses and God.

12 in addition, they stirred up people and the Sahendrists, and the scribes, stand by, even to catch and bring him unto the Joint-council,

13 in addition, false witnesses stood, saying, this man, did not stop to preach utterances against this Holy place, and (Moses) law;

14 for, we hear him saying, that Jesus, a Nazarene, will change the customs which Moses delivered to us, and that, this place will be demolished.

15 And everybody who sit down in the Joint-session, gaze intently upon him and discern his face as it were a face of an Angel.

Acts Chapter 7

Act 7

Deacon Stephen's defence

1 Moreover, the high priest asks, if he hold on to this thing, in that way?

2 So, he make known his thoughts: listen up, fathers, fellow men and brethren! Our father Abraham, was dwelling before in Mesopotamia or in (C)Haran and he discerned the GLORY of God;

3 WHO said toward him, proceed out of your land, and from your relatives, and come here to the land unto which I will possibly show you. (Gen 12:1,5). 

4 then, out of the land of Haran (in Mesopotamia), - and from there, his father died,- he proceeded to permanently reside in land of Chaldeans (kasdi/lower Euphrate), amid which he emigrated into this land, in which you now permanently reside.

5 And he was not given inheritance in it, not even a foot length. So, his occupancy/possession promised to him was to be given unto his children, the same person who has not been with his own offspring.

6 God also preached likewise: that his offsprings will be a sojourner in a strange land, and be enslaved by them and be maltreated four hundreds years;

7 And God said, I will judge the nation which in case, enslaved them; (Gen 15:14) and amid these, they will proceed out and serve ME in this place. (Ex 3:12)

8 and he was likewise given a covenant of circumcision; he begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob, the twelve patriarchs.

Israel in Egypt 

9 And the patriarchs envied Joseph, and sold him unto Egypt. And God was with him,

10 and rescued him from all his afflictions; and gave him Grace before Pharaoh, the king of Egypt; and he was designated to lead/govern by wisdom upon Egypt, and upon all his households.

11 Moreover, great afflictions and famine came upon Egypt and Cannan, and our fathers did not find food-sustenance.

12 So, Jacob heard that, there was grains in Egypt, and sent forth our fathers, the first time, 

13 and the second time, Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and Joseph families became manifest to Pharaoh,

14 and, Joseph sent to summoned his father, Jacob, and his relatives who in all, were seventy-five souls (Ex1:5), 

15 And, Jacob went down to Egypt and our fathers finish up their life (there).

16 and he was translated/transported to Shechem, and laid in the grave, which Abraham bought at certain value of silver, from the children of Hemmor in Shechem. (Gen 33:19)

God saves Israel through Moses 

17 but, the space of time for the promise draw near, just as God professed it to Abraham, and the people grow and multiply in Egypt,

18 until another king rose up in Egypt, who did not know Joseph,

19 the same was crafty against our race/kindred, and maltreated our fathers, made their infants exposed/abandoned, and not to be born unto living. 

20 in God's time, Moses was born, who was funny/humorous/comical; and whom his father brought up three months in his house.

21 moreover, he was exposed outside and could be annihilated, so Pharaoh's daughter brought him up unto a son, for herself.

22 And Moses was educated in all wisdom of Egyptians; and he was powerful in words and their deeds.

23 also as forty years were fulfilled, a space of time it was in his heart, to ascend and to inspect his brethren, the children of Israel;

24 And he saw someone being hurt. So, to defend him, he struck the Egyptian, to perform vengeance for the one being oppressed.

25 And supposing his brethren would understand, that God will give them salvation through his hand. But they did not understand.

26 so, the following day, he saw them quarreling, and to bring them together unto peace, he says, fellow men your are brethren at least, why doing wrong to one another?

27 the one maltreating the neighbor push him away, saying, who appoints you, a Ruler and a Judge over us?

28 do you want to kill me, the mode by which you annihilated the Egyptian yesterday? (Ex 2:14)

29 So, Moses ran away on this account, and became a sojourner in the land of Midian (in Arabia) where he begots two sons.

30 and having fulfilled forty years (making him eighty years old), in the desert of Mount Sinai, he discerned an angel by a flame of FIRE in briar/brambles.

31 And having seen it, Moses wondered at the vision; also he approaches to fully observe, and there happened to be the Voice of God:

32 I am God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob (Ex 3:6,15), and Moses becomes trembling, and dared not fully observe.

Removal of shoe: a symbol of honor to a superior person. 

33 So, God says to him, loosen the sandals of your feet, for the place on which you stand, is a Holy ground.

34 behold, I have seen the oppression of MY people in Egypt, and heard their groaning, and have come down to rescue them; and now, come here, I will send you unto Egypt (Ex 3:5-10)

35 this Moses, whom they rejected, saying, who appointed you a ruler and a judge? Ex 2;14). By the hand of this man, God has sent a Ruler and a Redeemer, together with the Angel, he discerned in the brambles/briars.

36 this man, led them out, having done, signs and wonders in the Red land of Egypt (Heb 11:29), and in the Sea, and in the desert for forty-years. (Moses turned 120 years) 

Israel's Rebellion in the desert 

37 This is Moses, who said to the children of Israel, God will raise up a Prophet for you, out of your brethren, like me. (Deut 18:15)

38 this is the one who happened to be with the Angel, who on mount Sinai, preached to our fathers among the church in the desert, and they accepted the oracle/utterances given to us to live by.

39 which our fathers happened not to be submissive to, but push it away, and desire to turn back unto Egypt, in their heart.

40 telling Aaron, make a god for us, who will go before us, for, this Moses, who led us out of the land of Egypt, we did not know, what has happened to him, (Ex 32:1, 23)

41 And image of bullock was fabricated, in those days, and they offered sacrifice to the idol, and make merry in the works of their hands. 

42 So, they turned away from God, and surrendered to minister to (angelic) army of heaven, just as, it is written in the books of prophets: did house of Israel, ever offer sacrifices of slain-beast to Me, for forty years in that desert?

43 And, they were exiled across to Babylon (Capitol of Chaldea), kings took over the tabernacle of your God, and they made a pattern/type of stars for remphan (kijun-an Egypt idol) which they worshipped. (Amos 5:25-27)

The earthly tabernacle by Moses and the replacement by Jesus. 

44 there was a tabernacle of testimony with our father in the desert, just as it was prescribed by preaching to Moses to make it, according to the pattern/type which he had seen;

45 And God has introduced Jesus to succeed/take over from our father, with the occupancy/possession of the heathen-nations, which were expelled in the presence of our fathers, until the days of David;-

46 - who find grace before God, and craved to find a temple for God of Jacob.

47 and Solomon also built HIM the house, 

48 but the ONE in THE HIGHEST does not dwell in a hand-made thing; just as the prophets had said,

49 MY THRONE is in heaven, also the earth is a something under MY FEET, what sort of house will you build for ME? Says God, or, where is the place of MY rest?

50 has not MY HAND made all these thing?

Untrained Evangelist spitting out harsh words: learn from his mistakes (Is 66:1-2)

51 and you are stiffnecked (obstinate) like your fathers, uncircumcised of ears and hearts, always opposing the Holy-Spirit.

52 which of the prophets, your fathers did not persecute? They had killed those who predicted, concerning the advent/coming of the RIGHTEOUS One, now to Whom, what a betrayer and murderer, you have become! 

53 having received of the messenger, the institution/arrangement of the law unto which some never keep.

Deacon Stephen extra-judicial stoning without trial

54 however, having heard these things, their hearts were pierced through, and they grated teeth upon him.

55 but, being an upcoming-minister, full of Holy Spirit, he gazed intently unto heaven, and discerns the "Glory of God" and Jesus, STANDING from the Right Hand of God,

56 and he said to the men who are looking (as spectators): behold heaven has opened up, and the Son is standing from the Right Hand of God.

57 the mega part is their voice, screaming, holding their ears together and violently rush unanimously upon him,

58 and cast him outside the city to stone him. And the invited witnesses lay aside their garments beside the feet of a young man, Saul (Jewish form of the name Paul).

59 and as Stephen was being stoned, he said, I invoke/call on the SPIRIT of the Supreme Lord: Jesus shall be accepted/received.

60 as he was on his knees, the big part also is his voice, screaming: Supreme-Lord, this sin will not be laid/placed on those standing by. And having said this, he fell asleep (died).

Acts Chapter 8

Act 8

Saul persecuted Jerusalem Church 

1 Moreover, Saul was well pleased together with them according to the killing. So, in those days, there happened to be a great persecution upon the church in Jerusalem. Nevertheless, all besides the Apostles were scattered abroad to the region of JUDEA and SAMARIA .

2 so, devout fellow-men jointly carried away Stephen, and make great mourning over him.

3 moreover, Saul prey on the church, entering each house, and dragging men and women, betraying them unto prison.

Deacon Phillip preached in Samaria (Gospels has extended to Samaria now) 

4 Therefore, they traveled scattered around, evangelizing the word.

5 Phillip also, went down unto a city of Samaria, proclaiming Christ to them.

6 and the crowd unanimously paid attention to things spoken under Phillip. Having heard him and look at the miracles which he performed;

7 the mega thing is the voice of many who have unclean spirits, shouting as they get out of them. He also ministers healing to many who were paralysed and lame.

8 So, there happens to be much joy in that city.

A magician, Simon, professed Jesus' Lordship and got saved 

9 A certain man also, Simon by name, who formerly practise magic in the city, and who was said to be somebody great himself, amazing to the heathen nations of Samaria, 

10 to whom all the people pay attention, from small up to the great men, saying, this man is calling out a great power of god, 

11 and they paid attention to his competence because of the space of time, that his magik-arts had been amazing to them. 

12 but, when Philip, announced the gospel about the kingdom of God, to men and women, they have Faith unto the Name (authority) of Jesus and were baptized (in water)

13 and the same Simon also have Faith and was baptized. He steadfastly continues with Philip, and having seen wonders and great mighty deeds, he became amazed.

Apostle Peter and John were the ones sent to Samaria (as a keen attention to the instructions of the Lord) 

14 Moreover, the Apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria has accepted the word of God, so they sent Peter and John to them.

15 some of who had made prayer concerning HIM, and HE has descended, anyhow, they will receive the Holy SPIRIT.

16 for, no gainsay, HE has fall upon not even any of them. And they had only been baptized (immerse in water) by the up-coming minister unto the Name of the Lord Jesus.

17 therefore, they laid hand upon them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Peter also became somehow harsh on ineptitude of one new-convert

18 so, as Simon (the magician) saw, that through the laying of hands of the Apostles, the SPIRIT was given, he offered them money,

19 saying, give me this authority also, at least, who, in case, I lay hands, will receive the Holy Spirit.

20 howbeit, Peter said to Him, may your cash together with you be unto damnation. Because, you suppose the gift of God, can be acquired through money.

21 no part nor a portion of you is in this thing, because your heart and words are not straight before God.

22 therefore, if you repent from this depravity, and pray earnestly, ara (a heartfelt need lifted to heaven) the Lord, will forgive/let you go of the intention of your heart.

23 for, I discern you are into bitterness (as) of bile and joint-bond to iniquities.

24 but, Simon answered, and said, you should earnestly pray towards the Lord for me, (that) nothing of what you have said should anyhow supervene upon me.

25 therefore, they indeed earnestly testified of the Lord, preaching the words to evangelize many villages of the Samaritans. And they returned unto Jerusalem

Deacon Philip preached to a black Ethiopian guy (Gospels spread to Africa)

26 Moreover, Angel of the SUPREME Lord, preaches to Philip, saying, stand up and go by midday upon the road descending from Jerusalem unto Gaza; that is with respect to the wilderness.

27 And he stood up, and goes forth. Behold a fellow-man, an Ethiopian eunuch (blackamoor) of the Candace dynasty of Ethiopian Queen, who is upon all her treasure, and who had come to worship in Jerusalem,

28 was returning, sitting down over his chariot, and reading from prophet Isaiah;

29 the SPIRIT also tells Philip, approach and join this chariot.

30 Phillip hastened to join, and hears him reading prophet Isaiah, and he asks, ara (a heartfelt concern lifted to heaven), do you know what you are reading?

31 but he says, how is it possible, in case no body guide me? And, he invited Phillip, to come up, and settle down with him.

32 and the area of the holy writing which he reads is this: He was brought like a sheep upon butchery/slaughter, and like a Lamb, he was voiceless before His shearer, and thus, He did not opens His mouth. (Is 53:7)

33 in His humiliation, His judgment was taken away, who will tell the story to the same generation that they take away/remove the One of Zoe-Life from the earth?

34 So, the Eunuch answered, and said to Philip, I earnestly pray you, about whom did the prophet say this? About himself, or about certain other person?

35 so, Philip opened his mouth, and began from this Holy writing, to evangelize Jesus to him.

36 Also, as they are going down the road, they come upon some water, and the eunuch makes his thought known, see water; what prevent me from being baptized?

37 {also Philip speaks, if you believe out of the whole heart, it will be a right thing. Also, answering, he says, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God}.

38 And he ordered the chariot to stand still, and both Philip and the Eunuch, went down into the water, even, to baptize him;

39 Also, as soon as they go up from the water, the SPIRIT of God caught up (harparzo) Philip, and the eunuch see him no more; no doubt, he travels on his way, rejoicing

40 Moreover, Philip is found in Azotus (Ashdod), and pass through, preaching the good news to all cities, until he comes to Caesarea.

Acts Chapter 9

Acts 9

The first visit and exhortation of the Lord Jesus to Saul/Paul on Damascus road

1 Moreover, Saul was still breathing out threat/menace and murder towards the Lord's disciples, so he approaches the high priest,

2 and ask a letter from him, unto Damascus, towards the synagogues, in case anybody is found on the WAY, be it men and women, to bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 however as he journeyed, he happened to be close to Damascus (Syria city), suddenly, a light shine all around him from the sky, 

4 and he fell down upon the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecuting Me?

5 so, he says, who are you ? I am the Lord Jesus, Whom you are persecuting {it is hard for you to kick towards a sting}. 

# {trembling and stupefied, the Lord said, what I want you to do}

6 is to stand up and enter into the city, but what you MUST do, will be preached to you.

7 Moreover, the fellow-men who traveled with him stand still speechless, they indeed hear the voice, but seeing no man.

8 So, Saul rose up from the ground, and open his eyes, and did not see anything. However, he was led by hand, and brought into Damascus.

9 And he was for three days without seeing things and he neither eat nor drink.

Bro Ananiah came to complete the Lord's message to Paul/Saul

10 Moreover, a certain disciple has been in Damascus, Ananias by name. And behold, the Lord says to him in a vision, Ananias and he says, my Lord.

11 So, the Lord says to him, arise immediately, and go upon the street, and seek in the house of Judah, Saul of Tarsus by name whom, I have called. No doubt, you will see him making prayer,

12 and he has seen a man in a vision, Ananias by name, entering and laying hands upon him anyhow, to recover his sight.

13 but, Ananias answered the Lord, I heard from many about this fellow man, how much evil he did to Your holy-saints in Jerusalem.

14 And has authority from high-priest to come here, to bind all who call on Your Name.

15 And the Lord says to him, Go, because this man is a chosen instrument, to carry My Name before heathen nations, and even to KINGS of the children of Israel:

16 for, I will show him, as much as he must suffers for the sake of My Name.

17 So, Ananias goes away, and enters into the house; and lay hand upon him, and says, Brother Saul, the Lord sends me. Jesus, Who you discerned on the road, in which you came, that you will receive your sight anyhow and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

18 And immediately, a thing like a scale, fell off from his eyes, and he recovered his sight, and arise, and he was baptized (with holy spirit). 

Paul ministry in Damascus and (P)Saul first message in their synagogue

19 and he takes food and get strengthened. Moreover, he happened to be with disciples in Damascus for some days, 

20 And in the synagogue, he proclaims Jesus immediately, that, He is the Son of God.

21 So, everybody who heard him were amazed and say, is this not the one who ravage those who call on this Name in Jerusalem? And has come here, at least to bind, and carry them before the high-priests.

22 but, Saul was rather empowered and the Jews dwelling in Damascus were perplexed, for he is knitting things together that, this is the Christ.

Saul, first escape of death, through the city wall of Damascus 

23 Moreover, as though (his) days are fulfilled, the competent Jews plotted together to kill him,

24 So, Saul got to know their plot. And they are closely watching the gates, day and night, to kill him anyhow;

25 however, disciples took him by night, and lower him down through the wall, and they let him down in a woven-basket (hamper) (2Cor 11:32)

Saul in Jerusalem, led by BarNabas to the Apostles (this is about 3 years of Paul's call and stay for 15 days - Gal 1:18)

26 Moreover, he arrived unto Jerusalem and tried to join the disciples, but all were afraid, testing him, for he had not been a disciple who have faith.

27 but BarNabas takes and lead him to the Apostles; and fully related to them, how on the road, he clearly discerned the Lord, and that, He preached to him; and how, he spoke boldly in the Name of Jesus in Damascus.

28 And he was with them, coming in and going out in Jerusalem, and was frank in utterance in the Name of the Lord.

Saul, Second escape of death, from Jerusalem to Ceasarea and to his origin at Tarsus 

29 in addition, he preached and debated together with the Hellenist (Greek speaking Jews); who also lay hands upon him even to be killed.

30 So, having recognized that, the brethren lead him down to Caesarea, and dispatched him unto Tarsus.

Peter's ministry continues from Act 8:25.... Church is expanding 

31 Therefore, they have indeed traveled, the churches in the whole of Judea and Samaria and Galilee, multiply, have peace, and were built up according to the consolation of the Holy Spirit and in the reverence of the Lord.

Paralyzed Aeneas, healed by Peter

32 Peter also, happened to pass through all (those place) and went down to the saints dwelling in Lydda (Lod).

33 Also, right there, he find a certain man, Aeneas, by name, who was paralyzed, and has been lying down out of a mat, upon eight years. 

34 And Peter says to him, Aenaes, Jesus Christ heals you, rise up, and stretch yourself, and immediately he stands up.

35 and all dwellers of Lod/Lydda and Sharon (plain) are aware of it, some of who turned to the Lord.

Dorcas raised from death at Joppa by Peter 

36 Moreover, in Joppa (Japho) there was a certain disciple, called Tabitha (a gazelle) by name, which is translated Dorcas. She does good things and is full of words of benevolence/alms-giving. 

37 So, it happened in that day, that she was sick and died. So, they washed her, and laid her in the upper room.

38 and the disciples, heard that Peter was in Lydda/Lod which is near Joppa, and they sent two men towards him, imploring him not to delay until he travels to us.

39 So, Peter stands up, to depart together with them, who as he arrived, he was led up to the upper room. And all the widows with her stand by, weeping and showing garments and dresses, as much as Dorcas has done for them.

40 However, Peter drives all people outside, and make prayer on his knees. And he turns again to the body, saying, Tabitha, stand up! Peter discerned, she opened her eyes, and positioned her to be set up/seated up. 

41 so, having given her a hand, she stands up. Also having addressed the saints and the widows, he presented her alive.

42 and it becomes well known throughout the whole of Joppa, and many have Faith upon the Lord.

43 and he happens to stay for days in Joppa, near Simon, a certain competent tanner (in hide and skin).

Acts Chapter 10

Acts 10

Captain Cornelius, a centurion, encountered an Angel at Ceasarea

1 Moreover, certain man in Ceasarea, named Cornelius, a centurion out from Italian squad, was called forth.

2 He is devout to God and revere God together with all his households. Doing alms-giving to many people, and praying earnestly on account of all things.

3 he discerned plainly in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day (3pm), concerning an Angel of God who enters towards him, and says to him, Cornelius!

4 he also look intently, and becomes afraid and says, what is it, lord? He was told, your oratory prayer, and your alms-giving has ascended unto memorial before God. 

5 And now, send men to Joppa, and summon a certain Simon who is called Peter.

6 He lodges with a certain Simon, a tanner, whose house is beside the sea; {he will preach to you what you must do}.

7 Also, as the angel, who had preached to him departed, he addresses two of his household residents, devout soldiers who earnestly attend to him,

8 and rehearse absolutely all things to them, and send them to Joppa.

Peter's strange and anti-religion trance at Joppa

9 Moreover, upon the morning of the next day, these men journey and approach the city, and Peter goes up to make prayer upon the housetop, around sixth hour (12pm).

10 he also becomes very hungry, and desires to eat things prepared for him, however, he happened to be upon a trance (an ecstasy)

11 And he sees sky opened up, and four certain persons of ancient time descended and as though, a great equipment was let down with a linen sheet upon the earth,

12 in which, there are all four-footed wild-beast and reptiles on the ground, and birds of the sky, 

13 And a voice was generated towards him: stand up, Peter, slay and eat!

14 but Peter said, no way, Supreme Lord; for I have never at any time eat things common to all or unclean.

15 And, the second time again, the voice toward him, was, what God has cleansed, you should not regard common/profaned.

16 So, this happens over three times, and the equipment was taken up immediately into the sky.

Men from Cornelius arrived at Joppa for Peter

17 Moreover, as Peter was perplexed in himself; what possibly the vision which he discerns could be. Behold, the men sent under Cornelius, had enquired for the house of Simon, and stand upon the gate.

18 And they call out, asking Simon, if the one called Peter lodged here.

19 Peter however was pondering about the vision, and the SPIRIT says, behold, three-men are seeking after you;

20 but, rise up, go down and travel with them, there is nothing to dissect, for I have sent them.

21 So, Peter went down towards the men, (sent from Cornelius to him), and asks, behold, I am whom you seek; because of what reason have you come?

22 they also say, Cornelius, a Centurion, a righteous man, who reverence God, testified to, by the whole Jewish Nation, was divinely instructed under Holy Angel, to summon you to his house, and to hear utterances (rhemata) from you.

23 he then called them inside to lodge. Moreover, upon the morning of next day, they rose up and proceeded together with some brethren from Joppa who departed with him.

Apostle Peter met captain Cornelius, a centurion

24 Moreover, upon the morning of the next day, they enter into Caesarea. Cornelius also has been expecting them. He calls together his relatives, and necessary close friends,

25 Also, it happens as Peter enters, Cornelius meet with him, and fall down upon his feet, worshipping.

26 Also Peter, says to them, raise him up, stand up, even I, am a man.

27 And as he enters to talk with him, he find many assembled together.

28 in addition, he makes known his thought to them; you understand as unlawful as it is for a Jewish man to unite or approach a man of another nation. Even I, have been shown by God, not to say any man is common/profane or unclean.

29 on that account, having summoned me, I come without gainsaying. Therefore, I will enquire, on what matter, am I summoned?

30 And Cornelius make known his thought: away from four days, up to that hour, I was making prayer in my house; and by the ninth hour (3 pm), behold, a fellow-man stood before me in radiant clothing,

31 and He made known His thoughts: your oratory prayer is heard, Cornelius, and your alms-givings are remembered before God.

32 therefore, dispatch unto Joppa, and summon Simon, who is called Peter; he lodges in the house of Simon, a tanner by the sea.

33 therefore, I sent for you at once; in addition, you have done well, to come. Therefore now, we are all present before God, to hear all things, you are commanded by the SUPREME-Lord.

Apostle Peter's first message within the gentile 

34 However, Peter opens up his mouth, and says, upon the Truth we have eagerly received, that God is not exhibiter of partiality,

35 but, those who reverence HIM among all nations and will engage Justification are acceptable to HIM.

36 this is the word, announcing good message to the children of Israel, on account of Peace with the Supreme-Lord, WHO has sent Jesus Christ to everybody.

37 you are aware of the utterances (rhema) of what happened with respect to the whole Judea, starting from Galilee, amid (water) baptism proclaimed by John:

38 and as Jesus of Nazareth was anointed (rub/smear) with the HOLY SPIRIT from God, even for mighty deeds, who traveled to do them good (being philanthropic) and heal everybody being oppressed under devil, because God is with Him.

39 and we are the witnesses of all things that He did, in the region of Judea and Jerusalem; and in addition, Whom they killed by hanging Him on a tree.

40 and God raised this Person up on the third day, and He is given to become conspicuous/obvious,

41 not to us, the witnesses, some of who ate together and drank together with Him, amid His rising again out of the dead, but to all the people who were chosen before under God.

42 and He instructed us to proclaim to people, and fully testify that He is destined under God to be the Judge of the living and the dead.

43 and all the prophets had testified of this Person, that, everybody who will have Faith unto Him, shall receive freedom from sins through His Name.

Baptism of Holy Spirit on the Gentiles without laying of hands in Cesaerea

44 (as) Peter was still preaching these utterances (rhema), Holy SPIRIT embrace/fall upon all who heard the words.

45 And the believers from circumcision and as many that accompany Peter, were amazed, that even the gift of Holy Spirit is poured out upon the heathen-race;

46 for they hear them preaching with tongues (not acquired naturally), making God magnified. Then Peter answered,

47 whether at all, anyone will be able to prevent these ones not to be baptized by water, some of who have received Holy-SPIRIT, even like us?

48 So, he commanded them to be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. Then, they ask him to stay over for some days.

Acts Chapter 11

Acts 11

In-house defence of anti-Judaism vision of Apostle Peter 

1 Moreover, the Apostles and Brethren who are in Judea heard that the heathen-nations also have accepted the words of God.

2 so, when Peter went up to Jerusalem, those of circumcision were dissecting it with him,

3 saying, he entered in, towards men who hold on to uncircumcision, and eat with them.

4 but, Peter began to expound it to them thereafter, saying,

5 I had been in the City of Joppa, making prayer, and I discern in a trance (ecstasy), a vision of four certain persons of ancient time, descending and as though, a great equipment was let down with a linen sheet from the sky, and come as far as to me,

6 unto which I look intently to fully observe, and I saw four-footed animals, wild-beasts, and reptiles of the land and birds of the sky.

7 Moreover, I heard a voice telling me, Peter, rise up, kill and eat.

8 So, I said, no way, Supreme Lord, because common or unclean things, has never at any time entered into my mouth.

9 the voice from heaven also answered the second time, what God has cleansed, you don't regard common/profane.

10 this also happened upon three times, and absolutely all were taken up again unto heaven.

Grace of God extended to Gentiles through Peter

11 And behold, three fellow-men, sent from Caesarea towards me, stand upon the house in which I was,

12 And the SPIRIT told me, go with them, dissect through nothing. However, I went together with SIX brethren, and we entered into the house of that man,

13 And, he announced to us, how he discerned an Angel in his house, who stood still and said, send to Joppa, and summon Simon, who is called Peter;

14 who will preach to you, the utterances (rhema) by which you and all your households shall be saved.

15 as I began to preach, the Holy Spirit embrace/fell upon them, just as HE is upon us at the early stage.

16 Moreover, remember the Utterances of John, as he said, I indeed baptized in water, the Lord will baptize you by the Holy-SPIRIT. (Matt 3:11, Mk 1:8, Lk 3:16, Jh 1:33)

17 therefore, if God gives equal gift to them, as even to us, who believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, who am I, to stop the Powerful God?

18 so, having heard these things, they were quiet unto repentance and glorify God, Ara (a heartfelt gratitude lifted to heaven), saying, God has also given Zoe-Life to the Gentiles.

Barnabas was sent to Antioch 

19 Therefore, those who were scattered (in foreign land) from persecution, generated over Stephen, travelled as far as Phoenicia (palm country), and Cyprus Island, and Antioch, preaching the word indeed to no one except the Jews only.

20 but, there were certain men from Cyprus and Cyrenean, some of who came into Antioch, and they preached even to the Hellenist (Grecians), proclaiming the gospel of the Lord Jesus,

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them; in addition the number of those who believed and turned over to the Lord are very many.

22 So, the account concerning them was heard in the ears of the Church in Jerusalem, and BarNabas (son of inspired prophecy) was dispatched to travel, up to Antioch.

23 who arrived and rejoiced to discern the grace of God. He exhorted everybody to abide further in the Lord with their heart on the purpose.

24 because, good fellow men, who are full of the Holy Spirit and faith, even competent multitudes have been added unto the Lord. 

Smart Barnabas brought Saul from Tarsus to Antioch (cont. from Act 9:30)

25 So, he proceeds forth to Tarsus to seek for Saul,

Prophet Agabus prophecied or divinely instructed Christianos or followers of Christ, for the fist time in Antioch (note: there is nothing special in antioch other than the office of a prophet coming up for the first time in Christiandom) 

26 And having found him, he was brought to Antioch. Moreover, they happened to assemble together and teach the multitude, even for a whole year. In addition, the Christianos (followers of Christ) in Antioch are the first competent disciples in the Church (called out ones) to be divinely instructed (by prophecy).

27 so, on that day, a Prophet came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

28 And one person out of them stood up, Agabus by name, and indicated/signified through the Spirit, (that) a great famine is about to exist upon the whole habitable land - some of which happened upon Claudius (as Caesar).

The first time, BarNabas and Saul will dispatch relief materials to Jerusalem

29 So, certain disciples just as they have been prospered, each of them pre-determined unto a ministry of relief service, to be dispatched to brethren dwelling in Judea.

30 which they did, and sent to the Elders, through the hands of BarNabas and Saul.

Acts Chapter 12

Acts 12

Herod persecuted the Christians and killed James (John's brother) 

1 Moreover, with respect to that time, King Herod stretches forth his hand to hurt certain persons from the Church.

2 but, he has murdered James, the brother of John, with dirk/short-sword.

3 however, it was by the days of unleavened bread, and seeing that, it was pleasing to the Jews, he arrested Peter, to add up;

4 whom he also seized, and delivered to quarternion of four soldiers, to be put and guarded in prison, and was willing to lead him out to the people, amid passover. 

Angelic rescue of Peter from Herod

5 Peter indeed was kept in prison. However, there happened to be an extensive oratory-prayer by the Church towards God concerning him.

6 So, when Herod was about to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping that night, bound with chains, between two soldiers, and two guards are in front of the gate watching the prison.

7 Behold, a light shine in the jail and an Angel of the Lord stood by him, tap Peter by the side, wake him up, saying, rise up quickly. And the chain fell off from his hands.

8 Moreover, the Angel says to him, put on your dress, belt up, and put on your sandals. Having done it, he likewise says, follow me.

9 And got out, following him, not knowing that, what has happened through the Angel was true; thinking he was looking at a vision.

10 so, they traveled through the first and the second prison, and proceeded forth, to come upon the iron gates, which carry one unto the street of the city. It automatically open up and the Angel who went before him, departed at once from him.

11 And Peter happened to be by himself, and says, now I know, that the Lord truly dispatch His Angel (on a mission), and release me out of the hand of Herod, and all the expectations of Judea people.

12 in addition, he went upon the house of Moriah maria, the mother of John, who is surnamed Mark (Marcus), where capable/competent ones who realized together to make prayer convened.

13 so, he knocks the doors of the gate; and a girl named Rhoda (rose) approach to listen attentively,

14 And having recognized the voice of Peter, she did not open it because of joy, but she ran inside, to announce that, Peter was standing in front of the gate.

15 so, they say towards her, you are raving. But by being assertive and holding on to it, this way, they say, it is his Angel.

16 Moreover, Peter stay knocking; however, on opening, they saw him, and they were amazed.

17 so, he makes a sign to them by hand, to be silent, and fully relate to them, how the Lord brings him out of the prison. And he said, report these things to Jacob and the Brethren. So, he proceeds forth, and travel to another place.

18 Moreover, by daytime, there happens to be, no small disturbance/tumult among the soldiers, ara (a heartfelt worry lifted to heaven) what has become of Peter.

19 Moreover, Herod orders to lead away the guards to be questioned. They search for him, and never found him, for he has gone down from Judea to Caesarea to tarry.

Herod was destroyed alive 

20 Moreover, people of Tyre and of Sidonians had been furiously fighting; and Blastus, who is upon the king bed-chambers, persuaded them from their region, to come near for peace, and unanimous crave towards being fed/nourished through royal-noblemen.

21 however, on a set day, Herod, put on his royal garments, settle down upon the judgment seat, making an address towards them,

22 So, the public (demos-municipality) exclaim: what a voice of god, and not of man!

23 Howbeit, for not giving glory to the Supreme Lord, instead of which, the Angel of God struck him, and became vermin/worm-eaten, besides his riches, and he gave-up the ghost .

24 however, those who are of God increase and grow by the word.

Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem the second time, continued from Act 11:30 (about 14 years of Saul's call- this is 2COR 12:2 & Gal 2:1) 

25 Moreover, BarNabas and (P)Saul returned unto Jerusalem, taking John surnamed Mark along to fulfill the ministration/relief-service.

Acts Chapter 13

Acts 13

Saul and Barnabas are now sent forth, through a prophecy 

1 Moreover, according to those who are called forth to be Prophets and Teachers in the Church of Antioch, Simeon, the Black Niger (African), and Lucious (illuminative) the Cyrenian, and Manaen, a comrade/companion with Herod tetrArch, in addition to BarNabas and (p)Saul; [Quote: all were in Jerusalem to help during famine]

2 they said, for emphasy by the Holy Spirit, now, fast even to summon to ME, BarNabas and Saul, for them to publicly operate/function (leitourgeo) for the Lord unto the work to those who are excluded/severed.

3 At the time of fasting, they make prayer and laid hands on them and fully-release them. 

Preaching in Cyprus 

4 Therefore, they are indeed, dispatched out under the Holy Spirit, and go down unto Seleucia (in syria). And, from there, they sail away to Cyprus (Mediterranean Island).

5 And they happened to be in Salamis (in Cyprus) and proclaim the word of God in the synagogue of the Jews. They also have John (Mark), (as) an Assistant Minister.

6 Moreover, having traveled through the whole Island, as far as Paphos (in Cyprus), they find a man - a certain Jewish magician and a false foreteller - whose name is BarJesus (son of Joshua);

7 who was together with Sergius Paulus, a proconsul, an intelligent man. This man summons BarNabas and Saul, craving to hear the word of God.

8 but, Elymas (wizard), a magician, (for his name is translated likewise), opposes them - seeking to distort the procosul away from Faith.

9 Saul, even also P(s)AUL was filled with the Holy Spirit, and gaze intently unto him, 

10 and says, oh son of the devil, the enemy of Justification for all, full of of all crafts and all mischiefs; will you not stop to pervert the straight way of the Lord?

11 And now behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, be blind, and you will not see the sun until a set-time. Also, despite his rich power, a dimness and darkness fall upon him, walking around seeking to be led by hand.

12 At the time, the Procosul see what has happened, he had Faith unto the Lord and was very amazed upon the teachings.

John-Mark left the team at Perga (based upon the cause of Elymas' blindness) 

13 Moreover, they sail away from Paphos (in Cyprus) and come unto Perga (capital of) Pamphilia (all tribes region of Asia/Modern Turkey). However, John (Mark) withdrew from them, for things concerning Paul and return to Jerusalem.

Paul and Barnabas preaches in Antioch Synagogue (cf: Peter's preaching in Act 2)

14 they also traveled away from Perga, and approach unto Antioch of Pisidia (in Asia minor) and they enter into a synagogue on the Sabbath day and settle down.

15 So, amid the reading of the law and prophets, the rulers of the synagogue send to them, saying, fellow-men and brethren, if there is anyone among you, that will speak word of exhortation to the people.

16 so, Paul rises up, and beckon with hand, saying, fellow men of Israelites, who fear God, listen up.

17 This God of our fathers, having chosen the people of Israel, the people who were elevated among the sojourners in the land of Egypt, and with lofty arm, they were brought out of it,

18 and like space of time of forty-years, HE bear with their behavior in the desert,

19 HE demolished seven heathen-nations in the land of Cannan (earlier name of Palestine), and gave their land as an inheritance.

20 as this thing was amid four hundreds and fifty years, they were given Judges until Prophet Samuel.

21 from there on, they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul, the son of Kish (Cis), a man from the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.

22 And having deposed him, David was raised up unto king for them, to whom even HE testified, saying, I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man according to MY Heart, who will do all MY desires. (1Sam 16:12)

23 from the offspring of this man, according to the promise of God, Jesus, the Savior to Israel was brought forth.

24 John (the baptizer) had first heralded, the repentance and baptisma of the people of Isreal, in front of His face and His entrance unto everybody. 

25 however, as the carrier/course of John was being fulfilled, who do you suspect him to be? But he said, I am not He. Behold, He is coming, with whom, I am not worthy of Him, untying His sandal for me.

26 Fellow-men and brethren, the children of the kindred of Abraham, and those who reverence God within you, unto us these words of salvation is sent forth. 

27 No doubt, the dwellers of Jerusalem and their Rulers, and those who are ignorant of these things have judged Him, and the voices of the prophets, being read to everybody on Sabbath days, have been fulfilled.

28 And not even one cause/reason for death could be found in Him; so, they begged Pilate to take Him away,

29 however, as it was written, to complete all things concerning him, he was lowered from the tree, and laid in a grave.

30 but, God has raised Him out of the dead,

31 Who was seen upon many days by those who, from Galilee, came up together to Jerusalem. Some of them who are now His Witnesses to the people.

32 And we are announcing the good news of what happened to be the promise towards the fathers, to you, 

33 for God has fully accomplished these things, to us the children, having raised Jesus up; even as it was written in the second psalm, You are MY Son this day, I have begotten You. (Psalm 2:7)

34 however, having raised Him from the dead, believers/faithful ones, who are about to return unto decay/corruption, will not henceforth. Because, it was said this way: I will give the mercy/peace/Justification (divinely right-qualities) of David to you. (Is 55:3)

35 on that account, it was said even in another (Psalm); you will be given Mercy/Justification, not to see decay/corruption (Psalm 16:10)

36 for, David indeed, having served in his own generation, under the purpose/counsel of God, fell asleep, and was added towards his fathers, and saw decay/corruption.

37 however, the One Whom God has raised up did not see decay/corruption.

38 Therefore, be it well known to you, fellow-men and brethren, we are proclaiming to you that, through this Man, is the liberty/freedom from sins,

39 even from all things in which you can not be justified by the law of Moses. Everybody who have Faith in Him shall be justified.

40 Therefore, take heed, that what was said the prophets, does not to arrive/supervene upon you:

41 Behold, the despisers will disappear/be less apparent; for I will work, a work in your days, a work, to be wondered at, which you will not at all,. believe, in case, someone narrate it to you. (Hab 1:5)

The challenge in Antioch

42 however, as they are leaving/exiting, they were implored to preach these utterances (rhema) unto them even in-between the sabbath week. 

43 and, (as) the Jews unfastened the synagogue, many respected proselytes followed Paul and BarNabas, some of who they talked with, persuading them to remain in the Grace (chariti) of God.

44 So, the Sabbath day comes, and nearly all the city assemble together to hear the word of the Lord.

45 the Jews however, saw the crowd, and were filled with envy, and blaspheme by disputing the things preached by Paul, 

46 Paul and BarNabas were frank in utterances, saying, it is necessary to preach the word of God to you first; since you push it away, and you judge yourselves not deserving the everlasting Life, behold, we will turn around to the heathen-races.

47 for, the Lord has commanded us likewise: you are positioned to be a Light unto heathen-nations, and you are unto (their) salvation until the latter end of the earth. (Is 49:6)

48 so, the non-Jewish races hear the words and rejoice and as many that have Faith, magnify the Lord for being assigned unto eternal Life,

49 And through the word of the Lord, the whole region differs/is of more value

50 so the Jews, incited the foremost and respected ones even the noble/well formed women of the city, and stir up persecution upon Paul and BarNabas, even by ejecting them out from their borders.

51 and they shook off the dust of their feet upon them, and went into Iconium ("city of image" in Lycaonia of Asia minor - konya in Turkey).

52 and the disciples are fully-filled with joy of the Holy Spirit.

Acts Chapter 14

Acts 14

P(s)aul and Barnabas, Preaching at Iconium (Asia minor) 

1 Moreover, they happened to be in Iconium (Asia minor), and according to them, they entered into the synagogue of the Jews, and preach likewise, in so much that, multitude of the Jews and many Hellenists (Greeks), have Faith/believe.

2 but the unbelieving Jews stirred up and contaminated the souls of the non-Jewish men against the brethren.

3 Therefore, the competent ones indeed tarry for a space of time, (as) they speak boldly, testifying upon the Lord, even upon the words of His Grace, Who happens to grant signs and wonders through their hands; 

4 however, the multitude of the city splited; some are indeed together with the Jews, and some together with the Apostles.

5 so, as it becomes an impulse/drive for the non-Jewish races who were together with the Jews and their Rulers to exercise violence/abuse and stone them;

6 they realized together/became conscious of it, and flee down to Lystra and Derbe in Lycaonia, and cities of surrounding regions (in Asia minor)

7 and there, likewise, they preached the good-message.

Paul and Barnabas, Preaching at the City of Lystra; healing a lame man 

8 And a certain man sit-down in Lystra, who has never at any time walked, being lame from his mother's womb and weak on his feet.

9 This man heard Paul preaching, to whom the same (Paul) gazed intently, and discern that he has Faith to be SAVED (sozo).

10 the mega part is the voice that says, stand upright on your feet! And he jumped up and walked around. 

11 and the people who saw what Paul has done, raise up their voice in Lycaonian language saying, the gods have become like men, and descend towards us.

12 they call forth BarNabas to be Zeus (Jupiter), and Paul, Hermes (mercury), since he leads/directs (with authority) by words.

13 and the priests of Zeus (greek supreme god of the sky), together with the people are in front of the city, carrying crown upon oxen to the gate, and want to sacrifice it. 

14 but, Apostle Barnabas and Paul heard and tore their garments, and rush unto the crowd, screaming,

15 saying, fellow-men, why are you doing this? Even, we are human-beings experiencing-similar things like you, and proclaiming good news to you, to return from these profitless things to the Living God, who created the heaven and the earth, and the sea, and all things in them.

16 so, we are traveling to the heathen-nations, who were let alone in their ways and all their generations have passed by/gone by.

17 they were left, because there was no witness like us. Although, having not done good things; you are given rain from the sky for your times of fruit-bearing and (you are) satisfied with nourishment and gladness of heart.

18 And, having said these things, it was with difficulty for the crowd to settle down, from not sacrificing to them.

Paul woke up from death after being stoned and traveled to Derbe (a city in Lyconia - 2Cor 11:25) 

19 Moreover, the Jews from Antioch and Iconium supervene and persuaded the crowd, and stone Paul, and drag him outside the city, supposing he has died.

20 but (as) the disciples surrounded him, he stands up, and enters into the city. And upon the morning of the next day, he proceeds forth with Barnabas unto Derbe.

The next Apostolic strategic move: Paul raises other capable men to have oversight on those established churches

21 And, he proclaims the gospel to that city, and teaches/make students of competent ones, who return back unto Lystra, and unto Iconium, and unto Antioch,

22 to further strengthen/support the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in Faith, and that, through much afflictions, we MUST enter into the kingdom of God.

23 so, He elected Elders for them with respect to the churches, and make prayer with fasting, to commit (paratithemi), those who have Faith unto the Lord to them.

Paul and Barnabas, in Antioch; a place to fully complete the work

24 And having passed through Pisidia, they come towards Pamphilia (city of all tribes) 

25 so, they preached the word in Perga, and went down to Attalia (in Pamphilia);

26 and from there, they set sail to Antioch, from where they will be fulfilling/completing the works, which they surrendered unto, by the grace of God.

27 So, having arrived (Antioch), they assemble the Church together, and they reported as much that God has done amid heathen nations, because God has opened up the door of Faith to them.

28 so, they did tarry together with the disciples, not for a little space of time.

Acts Chapter 15

Acts 15

Conflict over circumcision and law of Moses

1 And a certain people come down from Judea, teaching the brethren, that, in case you are not circumcised by the custom of the law of Moses, you cannot be saved.

2 Moreover, the controversy/positional stand generates not a small disputation for Paul and Barnabas towards them. So, they assign, Paul and Barnabas, and certain others from them, to go up towards the Apostles and Elders, unto Jerusalem concerning this issue.

3 they were indeed aided forward by the Church and they travel through Phoenicia (Palm country) and Samaria, narrating what has been done and the great joy of conversion of Heathen races to all the brethren.

4 Moreso, they arrived unto Jerusalem, and welcomed back from the churches, by the Apostles and the Elders and they rehearse as much that God has done amidst them; - 

5 - but, certain persons produced from the sects of Pharisees, who have believed, said, they must command them to be circumcised and be keeping the law of Moses.

Christian General-council meeting at Jerusalem

6 The Apostles and the Elders assemble together, to discern concerning this matter.

7 Nevertheless, having generated much disputation, Peter stands up and says to them, fellow-men and brethren, you understand from me, that, in the early days, God chose the heathen races to hear the word of good-news through my mouth, and they believed.

8 And God, the HEART-KNOWER (G2589) testified to it, by giving them the Holy SPIRIT, just as us,

9 and nothing to dissect/discern between us and them, by faith, their hearts is purified. 

10 therefore now, why testing God, by imposing a yoke upon the neck of disciples, what neither our fathers, nor we, was capable to bear?

11 But, they have Faith, through the Grace of the Lord Jesus, and even we, it is according to the mode by which we are saved.

12 So, all the multitude keep silent and hear BarNabas and Paul unfold as many signs and wonders which God has done, within the heathen-nations, through them.

13 Also, amid their keeping silent, James (the Lord's Brother) answers, saying, fellow-men and brethren, hear me.

14 Simon has firstly rehearsed, just as God visited (him), to take people for HIS NAME out of the heathen-nations

15 And this agree together with the words of the prophets, as written:

16 Amid this, I will return and rebuild the fallen tabernacle of David; and I will build its ruins again and make it upright,

17 any how, God will possibly seek after the remnants of men, and all the Heathen-races, upon whom I will invoke MY NAME, says the Supreme God, (who shall) do these things upon them. (Amos 9:11-12)

18 well known from ages, {the works of God is the same to all}.

19 on this account, I judge: do not further harass those who, return to God, from the Heathen nations.

20 but, communicate to them by Letter (epistle), to keep away from blood of strangled animals and idols and defilement in sexual immoralities.

21 because, Moses, away from ancient generation, had those who proclaimed, in the synagogue, in every city, reading the same thing on all Sabbaths. (the idea behind epistles)

The conclusion of the meeting and the first circular/letter dispatched

22 At this time, the Apostles and the Presbyterians (Elders) together with the whole Church, think of choosing men from them, who will be dispatched unto ANTIOCH and called forth together with Paul and Barnabas are, Judah BarSabas, and Silas (Silvanus), who is to direct/lead among the fellow-men and brethren:

23 Written through the hands of the Apostles and Elders, to their Brethren in Antioch of Syria (Tsyria in Asia) and Cilicia (Asia minor) even to Brethren from Heathen-nations, cheers. 

24 Since we heard that certain persons from us, proceeded forth to trouble you by words, which repackage/subvert your soul, + saying, be circumcised and keep the law +, those whom we have not instructed;

25 we happen to unanimously think of dispatching towards you, by choosing fellow-men, together with our Beloved Barnabas and Paul,.. 

26 ... men who have surrendered their souls, for the sake of the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

27 we therefore send Judah and Silas (Silvanus), and they will report on account of the same matter.

28 for we think by the Holy Spirit, (that) no man should impose more burden upon you, besides these necessary things: (cf: Rev 2:24).

29 Keep away yourselves from things offers to idols, and blood, and strangled animals, and sexual immortalities (harlotry, adultery, incest, fornication), it is well (eu) to repeatedly practice those things to be maintained and be strengthened/faring-well.

Evangelism continues in Antioch (Syria) - a pivotal church in Paul ministry 

30 Having freed them, then, they came down to Antioch, and assemble the multitude together, to deliver the epistle.

31 Moreover, having read it, they rejoice upon the exhortation.

32 Judah and Silas also, being prophets (inspired-speakers), on account of the matter, exhorted the brethren very much to support/strengthen them.

33 however, things are done over a space of time with peace and they were freed from the brethren, towards those who sent them.

34 {but, Silas thinks of staying over with them}

35 So, Paul and Barnabas tarry in Antioch, teaching the word of the Lord, and proclaiming the gospel, also with many others,

John-Mark case causes separation between Paul and Barnabas (Act 13:13)

36 Moreover, amid some days, Paul said toward BarNabas with emphasy; we should return now to inspect how much the brethren could hold on to things of the Lord, in all the cities, in which we have proclaimed the words

37 however, BarNabas was willing to call forth John-Mark also and be taken along together;

38 but, Paul deem it fit, not to take him along, having departed from them from Pamphilia, and never went together with them unto the work, (Act 13:13)

Barnabas departed to Cyprus (Mediterranean Island) and Paul to Syria (Asia) 

39 but, there happened to be a sharp contention (paroxysm), in so much that they were rend apart from one another. And Barnabas accept Mark, and sail away to Cyprus;

40 Paul, chooses Silas, who has also surrendered and proceeded forth under the breathren by the grace of the Lord.

41 So, they traveled through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

Acts Chapter 16

Acts 16

Paul and Silas met Timothy at Lystra

1 Moreover, they arrived unto Derbe and unto Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy (dear to God), a son of a faithful Jewish woman, and his father is Greek,

2 who testifies under the brethren in Listra and Iconium (asia minor).

3 Paul wants this man to proceed together with them, so, he was circumcised, because of the Jews who are in that place to receive him; for, absolutely all were aware, that he possesses Greek (Hellen) father.

4 Moreover, as those who have surrendered under the Apostles and Elders were traveling through the cities, they keep the ordinances (dogmas), decided in Jerusalem.

5 the churches indeed are then made strong by Faith, and their numbers increase every day.

HOLY-SPIRIT never forsake them (confer with kjv; they were never resisted by the SPIRIT)

6 Preaching of the word will be forbidden in Asia, however, they traveled through Phrygia (Asia minor) and region of Galatians under the Holy SPIRIT, 

7 they will also come to Mysia, even by traveling unto Bithynia (both in Asia), and according to Jesus (Matt 28:20), they will be tested, but the SPIRIT will never let them alone; (HE will neither let you alone, nor forsake you- Heb13:5, Jh 16:32)

8 so, they pass through Mysia (in Asia minor), and come down to Troads (in Asia minor).

Change of Plan; A call for help from Macedonia through vision/dream 

9 And Paul discerned through a night vision: a certain man of Macedonia, standing by, and beseeching him, saying, cross over unto Macedonia, and help us.

10 Also, as clearly discerned in the vision, we immediately seek after going forth to Macedonia, concluding that God has summoned us to preach gospel to them.

The Journey to Macedonia; Lydia of Phillipi got saved

11 Moreover, they set sail from Troad, and sail directly unto Samothrace (Mediterranean Island), and the following (day) unto Neapolis (New-city in Macedonia),

12 and from there to Philippi (Macedonia), some of which are the first colony province of Macedonia city. So, they were in this city, tarrying for some days.

Paul threw his spiritual net and meet with Lydia's household: he never miss an opportunity 

13 And on the Sabbath day, they proceeded outside the gate, beside a river, where women assemble as usual for oratory prayer, and they settle down to preach.

14 And a certain woman, named Lydia, a purple cloth seller, of a city of Thyatira (in Asia minor), who revere God, listens, whose heart fully open to the Lord, and pay attention to things preached by Paul.

15 Moreover, as she and her households were baptized, she beseeched them, saying, if you judge me to be faithful to the Lord, enter into my house. And she compels us to stay. 

Paul cast out a demon in a girl: even demon recognize salvation 

16 Moreover, it happens, (as) we are going for oratory prayer, a certain girl who possesses python spirit (soothsayer) met us, and she provides much profit to her lord by soothsaying.

17 she follows after Paul and scream at us, saying: these men are servants of God of the HIGHEST, who proclaim the way of salvation to you.

18 and she does this over many days. However, Paul was worried, and turned around to the spirit, saying: I command you, in the Name of Christ, Jesus, get out of her, and it gets out at the same hour.

19 so, her lord saw it, that the hope of his profit is gone, so he seizes and drags Paul and Silas into the town-square before the Rulers;

Paul and Silas were assaulted and imprisoned without due trial

20 And by bringing them to the Captain, saying, these men being Jewish upcoming leaders, are disturbing our city, 

21 proclaiming customs, which are not right for us to admit, nor obey, being Romans,

22 and the crowd stand up together against them, and the Captain commanded to tear off their garments, and beat them with rod, 

23 and many strokes were laid upon them, and they were thrown into the prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them securely (asphalos).

24 who, having received such a mandate, throw them into the interior prison, and fasten their feet unto a wooden-stock.

Paul and Silas/Silvanus know how to rejoice amid weeping (Rom 12:15)

25 However, according to midnight watch, Paul and Silas, make prayer and sing hymns (celebrate in Songs) to God, and the prisoners listen intently to them.

26 the mega part is the earthquake, which suddenly happened, in so much that, the foundation of the prison shook. However, in spite of fasteners, all the doors opened up, and all the chains were let up/loosened. 

The souls of the jailer and his households were saved

27 Moreover, the jailer becomes awake from sleep, and see the doors of the prison opened. He supposed the prisoners have escaped, so he draws out his dirk/knife, and intends to kill himself.

28 the mega thing is the voice of Paul, addressing him, saying, do yourself no harm; because, absolutely everybody is here.

29 So, he asks for light, and jumps in, and become terrified and fell down before Paul and Silas/Silvanus.

30 And brought them outside and make known his thoughts: lords, what must I do at least, to be saved?

31 so, they said, believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your households shall be saved. 

32 And they preached the words of the Lord to him together with everybody in his households,

33 and all of them were baptized in that hour of the night, free of charge. And they also, were received near and washed from their wounds

34 and they were led into the house, present (food) on a table, and jump for joy to God, for having Faith with his whole family.

A learnt Barrister and an Apostle demanded for apology

35 Moreover, it happens to be day(time), and the Captain sent the Sergeant (rod-holder), saying, release those men.

36 so, the jailer reported these words to Paul, that, the Captain had sent, at least to release you. Therefore, proceed forth now and go in peace.

37 but, Paul make known his thoughts to him: no, because, having beaten us publicly (demosia) without legal trial, and throw us, being a Roman subject, into prison, will you now privately drive us out? On the contrary, they should come and lead us out.

38 so, the Sergeant reported these words to the Captain. And he was afraid, having heard that they are Romans.

39 And they came to implore them, and lead them out, requesting them, to go away from the city.

40 so, they proceed forth out of the prison, and go towards (sister) Lydia; and having seen and exhorted the brethren, they proceed forth.
