Captain Cornelius, a centurion, encountered an Angel at Ceasarea

1 Moreover, certain man in Ceasarea, named Cornelius, a centurion out from Italian squad, was called forth.

2 He is devout to God and revere God together with all his households. Doing alms-giving to many people, and praying earnestly on account of all things.

3 he discerned plainly in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day (3pm), concerning an Angel of God who enters towards him, and says to him, Cornelius!

4 he also look intently, and becomes afraid and says, what is it, lord? He was told, your oratory prayer, and your alms-giving has ascended unto memorial before God. 

5 And now, send men to Joppa, and summon a certain Simon who is called Peter.

6 He lodges with a certain Simon, a tanner, whose house is beside the sea; {he will preach to you what you must do}.

7 Also, as the angel, who had preached to him departed, he addresses two of his household residents, devout soldiers who earnestly attend to him,

8 and rehearse absolutely all things to them, and send them to Joppa.

Peter's strange and anti-religion trance at Joppa

9 Moreover, upon the morning of the next day, these men journey and approach the city, and Peter goes up to make prayer upon the housetop, around sixth hour (12pm).

10 he also becomes very hungry, and desires to eat things prepared for him, however, he happened to be upon a trance (an ecstasy)

11 And he sees sky opened up, and four certain persons of ancient time descended and as though, a great equipment was let down with a linen sheet upon the earth,

12 in which, there are all four-footed wild-beast and reptiles on the ground, and birds of the sky, 

13 And a voice was generated towards him: stand up, Peter, slay and eat!

14 but Peter said, no way, Supreme Lord; for I have never at any time eat things common to all or unclean.

15 And, the second time again, the voice toward him, was, what God has cleansed, you should not regard common/profaned.

16 So, this happens over three times, and the equipment was taken up immediately into the sky.

Men from Cornelius arrived at Joppa for Peter

17 Moreover, as Peter was perplexed in himself; what possibly the vision which he discerns could be. Behold, the men sent under Cornelius, had enquired for the house of Simon, and stand upon the gate.

18 And they call out, asking Simon, if the one called Peter lodged here.

19 Peter however was pondering about the vision, and the SPIRIT says, behold, three-men are seeking after you;

20 but, rise up, go down and travel with them, there is nothing to dissect, for I have sent them.

21 So, Peter went down towards the men, (sent from Cornelius to him), and asks, behold, I am whom you seek; because of what reason have you come?

22 they also say, Cornelius, a Centurion, a righteous man, who reverence God, testified to, by the whole Jewish Nation, was divinely instructed under Holy Angel, to summon you to his house, and to hear utterances (rhemata) from you.

23 he then called them inside to lodge. Moreover, upon the morning of next day, they rose up and proceeded together with some brethren from Joppa who departed with him.

Apostle Peter met captain Cornelius, a centurion

24 Moreover, upon the morning of the next day, they enter into Caesarea. Cornelius also has been expecting them. He calls together his relatives, and necessary close friends,

25 Also, it happens as Peter enters, Cornelius meet with him, and fall down upon his feet, worshipping.

26 Also Peter, says to them, raise him up, stand up, even I, am a man.

27 And as he enters to talk with him, he find many assembled together.

28 in addition, he makes known his thought to them; you understand as unlawful as it is for a Jewish man to unite or approach a man of another nation. Even I, have been shown by God, not to say any man is common/profane or unclean.

29 on that account, having summoned me, I come without gainsaying. Therefore, I will enquire, on what matter, am I summoned?

30 And Cornelius make known his thought: away from four days, up to that hour, I was making prayer in my house; and by the ninth hour (3 pm), behold, a fellow-man stood before me in radiant clothing,

31 and He made known His thoughts: your oratory prayer is heard, Cornelius, and your alms-givings are remembered before God.

32 therefore, dispatch unto Joppa, and summon Simon, who is called Peter; he lodges in the house of Simon, a tanner by the sea.

33 therefore, I sent for you at once; in addition, you have done well, to come. Therefore now, we are all present before God, to hear all things, you are commanded by the SUPREME-Lord.

Apostle Peter's first message within the gentile 

34 However, Peter opens up his mouth, and says, upon the Truth we have eagerly received, that God is not exhibiter of partiality,

35 but, those who reverence HIM among all nations and will engage Justification are acceptable to HIM.

36 this is the word, announcing good message to the children of Israel, on account of Peace with the Supreme-Lord, WHO has sent Jesus Christ to everybody.

37 you are aware of the utterances (rhema) of what happened with respect to the whole Judea, starting from Galilee, amid (water) baptism proclaimed by John:

38 and as Jesus of Nazareth was anointed (rub/smear) with the HOLY SPIRIT from God, even for mighty deeds, who traveled to do them good (being philanthropic) and heal everybody being oppressed under devil, because God is with Him.

39 and we are the witnesses of all things that He did, in the region of Judea and Jerusalem; and in addition, Whom they killed by hanging Him on a tree.

40 and God raised this Person up on the third day, and He is given to become conspicuous/obvious,

41 not to us, the witnesses, some of who ate together and drank together with Him, amid His rising again out of the dead, but to all the people who were chosen before under God.

42 and He instructed us to proclaim to people, and fully testify that He is destined under God to be the Judge of the living and the dead.

43 and all the prophets had testified of this Person, that, everybody who will have Faith unto Him, shall receive freedom from sins through His Name.

Baptism of Holy Spirit on the Gentiles without laying of hands in Cesaerea

44 (as) Peter was still preaching these utterances (rhema), Holy SPIRIT embrace/fall upon all who heard the words.

45 And the believers from circumcision and as many that accompany Peter, were amazed, that even the gift of Holy Spirit is poured out upon the heathen-race;

46 for they hear them preaching with tongues (not acquired naturally), making God magnified. Then Peter answered,

47 whether at all, anyone will be able to prevent these ones not to be baptized by water, some of who have received Holy-SPIRIT, even like us?

48 So, he commanded them to be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. Then, they ask him to stay over for some days.
