Solomon Chapter 1

Introduction:

This writing or poem is coded as songs (1king 4:32 & Is 5:1). There is a similarity when compared with the story of Ruth. Moreover, it is a narration of a Go-getter or the lady in love and in the midst of her rivals or daughters of Jerusalem. It is the expression of the feelings of a lady to a king or the feelings of two lovers to one another. It is a record of her actions and the reactions from personalities involved in her love affairs. She expressed a thorough understanding of her UNCLE (H1730), the bride-friends/girl's-guild, the king or the bridegroom himself, the king's mother and daughter of Zion. She also understands the barrier constituted by the daughters of Jerusalem and how to overcome it by challenging them to openly declare their love like her. On the other hand, the king also expressed things he knew about the bride and the bride family.

God loves mankind and want men to love one another with HIS selfless kind of love. This can naturally starts between a man and a woman, who are expected to be true friends, who know each other, trust each other, respect each other, believe in each other, ready to lift each other up and can correct each other politely and patiently. The writings exemplifies two friends with those prospects.

However, duration of such relationship is limited, so the need for the most important relationship that we must cherish, and that is a friendship with the Holy Spirit. This is a relationship that can last for the entire life-span of man. Hence, sound-mind is required for correct spiritual application of the story.

Caution: Holy-Spirit is not a Dove or Pigeon. HE is the INVISIBLE SPIRIT of Jehovah God. As you read on, dove or pigeon is just what it is, please.

Song of Solomon

Solomon 1

1 Songs to Solomon and songs from him;

The words of the Lady in love

2 What a kiss, when a good uncle kisses with a wine in his mouth!

3 and, for a virgin to love someone "with a (big)-name", it is like the scent of (perfumed) oil, when  a good oil is being emptied/poured out.

4 So, when I remember the uprightness of someone I love, I run to my uncle's bedchamber for wine, and after drawing it out, I spin around and rejoice to go to the king- -

5 - Daughters of Jerusalem, I am from the black/dark (people) of Kedar (Ismaelites), from our tents of curtain/sheets of fabric and it is Solomon who eagerly desire me.

6 - looking at our very very-dark sons, it is because they are put under the sun, while keeping vineyards, even as they keep the vineyard of their mother; they are scorched and got tanned/sun-burnt.

7 Who will boldly tell me, where the herd/flock of the soul I love, crouch/rest and how they are being fed/taken care of? Where does he covers/veils himself with his colleagues/friends at noonday?

She describes her girl's guild

8 I know of our beautiful married women who go forth to shepherd/feed the flock and will still feed the  young-goats in their dwelling-place/tabernacle later in the day.

9 my female-partners/associate of ladies/girl's guild resemble the female-horses of Pharaoh chariots;

10 their cheeks are pleasant and their BEADs are in sequence/order on their necks -

11 - - made of gold  and dotted/punctuated with silver in order/in rows/in turn.

12  for the King to be like a pivot-point of scent given by a spike-nard;

13 - I will pack/bundle myrrh from my Uncle, on my chest/breast and stay/tarry overnight;

14 - - and bunches/clusters of grapes from my uncle's village even from his vineyard at Engedi (springs for kids in Palestine).

15 my girl's guild are beautiful with beautiful eyes of doves (johah).

16 My uncle is handsome and how pleasant and greenish are his cradle/bed!

17 his furniture are of cedar-trees and the events or the happenings in his house are of well-being/nourishments.
