Philippians Chapter 2

Philip 2

Lift others in Christ by humility.

1 Therefore, If by encouragement in Christ to someone, if by consolation in selfless-Love to someone, if by fellowship in the SPIRIT with someone, and if by compassion from the bowel to someone;

2. You will fulfill my joy, at least by minding/caring for the same (person), having selfless-Love to the same (person), exercising mind and being like-minded on one thing.

3 Nothing like contention and nothing like vain glory; but in modesty/humility of mind, lead/govern one another to surpass/be superior to (be held above) your own self (produce leaders)

4 No one should be contemplating on his own things, but each one, even on things of another.

The lesson from the meekness of Jesus and His eventual promotion 

5 Exercise mind on these things among you, who are in Christ Jesus;

6 Who, being a sub-Ruler of God, never lead/govern (with official authority) in a form equal to robbery/plundering to God.

7. But, emptied/made Himself of no reputation, by taking the form of a servant, becoming effigy/model among men.

8. And being found as man/human-being in appearance/outward look, He humbled Himself and become submissive up till death, even the death on a pole (stauros).

9. By this reason, even God has highly exalted Him above others (raise to highest height), and by favor, grant Him a Name (position) over all names (positions),

10. at least, in the Name (authority), JESUS, all knees will bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (infernal).

11. and all languages/tongues will confess out/fully agree that Jesus Christ is the LORD/EMPEROR, unto the glory of God, the FATHER.

Apostle Paul is glad even as Jesus is glad upon all Light Bearers

12. My Beloved, therefore, just as you always listen attentively, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, fully work-out salvation to completion by yourselves, as though amid fear and tremors.

13. For God desires to actively work in you, even to be efficiently work for the sake of (HIS) good pleasure;

14. by doing all things without grumbling and debate,

15. at least, to become irreproachable and innocent Children of God, without-blemishe in the midst of crooked and perverted generation, among whom you are to lighten as star-light, in the world;

16. by holding on to the words unto zoe-Life, (which is) unto a boasting for me on the day of Christ, that I had not run unto vanity, nor worked-hard unto vanity. 

17. And if, (as it were) upon the service (liturgy) of pouring out libation on a animal-sacrifice, on the contrary, I congratulate you on your Faith and I'm glad with you all. 

18. Moreover, the same (Jesus) will also be glad and congratulate you and me.

Paul commended Timothy 

19 However, I hope in the Lord Jesus, to quickly dispatch Timothy to you, and I, at least will be cheered up/in good mind, to know about you.

20. For I do not have any equal/like-minded person, concerning who will genuinely take care of you.

21. For all people who seek their own, are not of Christ Jesus.

22. But, having tried him, I have known and as a child to a father, he has served in the gospel together with me.

23. Therefore, I indeed hope to dispatch him immediately, as I have possibly consider things around me.

24. I'm also persuaded in the Lord, that he will even come quickly.

Paul commended Epaphroditus

25. Moreover, it was neeful to lead officially and dispatch Epaphroditus (Venus-devoted), a brother, a fellow-worker and my fellow-soldier to you; your Apostle and also my minister of affairs/needs.

26. who has been yearning for you since. Behold, you have heard that he was sick, and by which reason, everyone was distressed.

27. For, he was sick even close to death, but God had mercy on him, though not on him alone, but even on me, at least not to have sorrow upon sorrow.

28. Therefore, the same (Timothy) will be dispatched more speedily at least for you to rejoice again to see him, and I would be less anxious/sad. 

29. Therefore accept him in the Lord with joy, and hold all such ones honorable/precious.

30. In that, they disregarded their souls, because of the work of Christ, even as far as coming near death, at least to refill up the deficit (backlog) of my function/services towards you.
