Solomon 2

The lady continues.....

1 his (red) Rose are in the plain of sharon, and his (white) lilies are in the valley;

2 but like lily among thorns, so are my girl's guild among daughters (of Jerusalem).

3 the apple trees of my Uncle are in the forest. Children delight in their shade and sit down under them, and their fruits are sweet to the palate of their mouth. 

4  households come there under a banner/flag of love for his wine;

5 -- he props up/supports those who are closely-pressed and weak, as they spread their bed of love under the apple-trees - 

6 -- their head-masters are embraced/hug with his (both) left and right hands.

First time of sending a challenge to her rivals

7 either doe/female-deer or male-deer could stir up love in the field; you daughters of Jerusalem, sware on oath (to your wish), if you are so desired/willing, at least, stir it up.

8 what a voice of my uncle! As he comes, they are skipping on the hills and jumping on the mountain. 

9 my uncle would peep/glance through the lattice/net of his window, at his male-deer/hart, and while he will stand on the wall, the deers/rams resembling dirt/dust will pop out.

Her uncle speaks to the girl's guild. 

10 the Uncle answered and said: rise up, beautiful girl's-guild and walk along.

11 things change from shower of rain to autumn (sept-nov), therefore, as the wayfarers pass over, 

12 that is the time to reconnoiter/explore and listen to the sound and the music of the land (in turn), and to see and touch things that bud/sprout on the land--

13 -- the smell of twinning-vine to spice up/embalm torbid/crude things and fig trees that give you blossom/smadar (sign of late-spring or new beginning -(Mar-May)). Arise my beautiful girl's-guild and walk along, - 

14 - to see the view/appearance, even the (pleasant) appearance of doves to be eagerly desired, and to listen to the sound, even to their voice in the evening; as they step up to feast in the hidden place in the cleft of craggy-rocks.

15 And in the vine-yard, fox and little-fox are caught in wound-ropes in the vine-yard, during blossoming/smadar.

16 even as it were, my Uncle still tend/take care of his (white) lilies.

17 and with the male-deers and rams of my Uncle, resembling dusts, fleeing to a mountain, which fan breeze on sections of its shade all round the day.
