Act 8

Saul persecuted Jerusalem Church 

1 Moreover, Saul was well pleased together with them according to the killing. So, in those days, there happened to be a great persecution upon the church in Jerusalem. Nevertheless, all besides the Apostles were scattered abroad to the region of JUDEA and SAMARIA .

2 so, devout fellow-men jointly carried away Stephen, and make great mourning over him.

3 moreover, Saul prey on the church, entering each house, and dragging men and women, betraying them unto prison.

Deacon Phillip preached in Samaria (Gospels has extended to Samaria now) 

4 Therefore, they traveled scattered around, evangelizing the word.

5 Phillip also, went down unto a city of Samaria, proclaiming Christ to them.

6 and the crowd unanimously paid attention to things spoken under Phillip. Having heard him and look at the miracles which he performed;

7 the mega thing is the voice of many who have unclean spirits, shouting as they get out of them. He also ministers healing to many who were paralysed and lame.

8 So, there happens to be much joy in that city.

A magician, Simon, professed Jesus' Lordship and got saved 

9 A certain man also, Simon by name, who formerly practise magic in the city, and who was said to be somebody great himself, amazing to the heathen nations of Samaria, 

10 to whom all the people pay attention, from small up to the great men, saying, this man is calling out a great power of god, 

11 and they paid attention to his competence because of the space of time, that his magik-arts had been amazing to them. 

12 but, when Philip, announced the gospel about the kingdom of God, to men and women, they have Faith unto the Name (authority) of Jesus and were baptized (in water)

13 and the same Simon also have Faith and was baptized. He steadfastly continues with Philip, and having seen wonders and great mighty deeds, he became amazed.

Apostle Peter and John were the ones sent to Samaria (as a keen attention to the instructions of the Lord) 

14 Moreover, the Apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria has accepted the word of God, so they sent Peter and John to them.

15 some of who had made prayer concerning HIM, and HE has descended, anyhow, they will receive the Holy SPIRIT.

16 for, no gainsay, HE has fall upon not even any of them. And they had only been baptized (immerse in water) by the up-coming minister unto the Name of the Lord Jesus.

17 therefore, they laid hand upon them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Peter also became somehow harsh on ineptitude of one new-convert

18 so, as Simon (the magician) saw, that through the laying of hands of the Apostles, the SPIRIT was given, he offered them money,

19 saying, give me this authority also, at least, who, in case, I lay hands, will receive the Holy Spirit.

20 howbeit, Peter said to Him, may your cash together with you be unto damnation. Because, you suppose the gift of God, can be acquired through money.

21 no part nor a portion of you is in this thing, because your heart and words are not straight before God.

22 therefore, if you repent from this depravity, and pray earnestly, ara (a heartfelt need lifted to heaven) the Lord, will forgive/let you go of the intention of your heart.

23 for, I discern you are into bitterness (as) of bile and joint-bond to iniquities.

24 but, Simon answered, and said, you should earnestly pray towards the Lord for me, (that) nothing of what you have said should anyhow supervene upon me.

25 therefore, they indeed earnestly testified of the Lord, preaching the words to evangelize many villages of the Samaritans. And they returned unto Jerusalem

Deacon Philip preached to a black Ethiopian guy (Gospels spread to Africa)

26 Moreover, Angel of the SUPREME Lord, preaches to Philip, saying, stand up and go by midday upon the road descending from Jerusalem unto Gaza; that is with respect to the wilderness.

27 And he stood up, and goes forth. Behold a fellow-man, an Ethiopian eunuch (blackamoor) of the Candace dynasty of Ethiopian Queen, who is upon all her treasure, and who had come to worship in Jerusalem,

28 was returning, sitting down over his chariot, and reading from prophet Isaiah;

29 the SPIRIT also tells Philip, approach and join this chariot.

30 Phillip hastened to join, and hears him reading prophet Isaiah, and he asks, ara (a heartfelt concern lifted to heaven), do you know what you are reading?

31 but he says, how is it possible, in case no body guide me? And, he invited Phillip, to come up, and settle down with him.

32 and the area of the holy writing which he reads is this: He was brought like a sheep upon butchery/slaughter, and like a Lamb, he was voiceless before His shearer, and thus, He did not opens His mouth. (Is 53:7)

33 in His humiliation, His judgment was taken away, who will tell the story to the same generation that they take away/remove the One of Zoe-Life from the earth?

34 So, the Eunuch answered, and said to Philip, I earnestly pray you, about whom did the prophet say this? About himself, or about certain other person?

35 so, Philip opened his mouth, and began from this Holy writing, to evangelize Jesus to him.

36 Also, as they are going down the road, they come upon some water, and the eunuch makes his thought known, see water; what prevent me from being baptized?

37 {also Philip speaks, if you believe out of the whole heart, it will be a right thing. Also, answering, he says, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God}.

38 And he ordered the chariot to stand still, and both Philip and the Eunuch, went down into the water, even, to baptize him;

39 Also, as soon as they go up from the water, the SPIRIT of God caught up (harparzo) Philip, and the eunuch see him no more; no doubt, he travels on his way, rejoicing

40 Moreover, Philip is found in Azotus (Ashdod), and pass through, preaching the good news to all cities, until he comes to Caesarea.
