Psalm Chapter 18

Ps 18

Eminent music, by a servant of Jehovah, David, who rehearses in spoken-words to Jehovah, in the day Jehovah deliver him from the palm of the hand of his enemy, and from the hand of Saul - (repeat of 2Sam 22)

1 I say, Jehovah has shown compassion to me and strengthened me:

2 In Jehovah is my lofty high tower (misgab) and my fortress. In HIM is my sharp rock and shield, when I took refuge in craggy rock, as a projection/horn for my all round salvation to escape from the main-ruler (el):

3 I called out to Jehovah, and I am praising HIM for saving me from my enemies:

4 when those worthless ones (Belial) from their estate surrounded me with twisted rope, I was frightened of the place of death;  

5 when they revolve their twisted rope round me as a trap unto a place death, which precede sheol/hades:

6 I went into the temple of Jehovah of elohim, and in HIS presence, I called out into HIS ears to be free from a tight place and HE listened to the voice of my cry;

7 mountains are blazed up and the earth tremble and violently agitate. They were violently agitated because their basis/foundation quaked;

8 fire from their mouth was to devour and smoke of kindled-coal ascended from their nostrils;

9 it spreads out in the sky and to come downwards are thick dark clouds under their feet;

10 even from the Cherubims/flaming Angels, who swiftly dart to the extreme end, riding and flying by THE SPIRIT.

11 they are positioned in a secret place, in a dark thick-cloud - and darkness was round about their pavilion/booth, playing and laughing over waters;

12 the brilliancy of their fire, burning-coal and hail, passed across the thick clouds;

13 with the given fire, burning coal, and the hail, the Voice of Jehovah in the Highest (Elyon), thundered in the sky: -

14 arrows were sent out to scatter and myriads of lightnings discomfit them;

15 we saw the channel of water and the foundation of the habitable part of the earth that were uncovered by the breath of their nostrils and at the rebuke of the SPIRIT of Jehovah.

16 just as HE sent out Moses, to take them from much waters unto an elevated place (2Sam 22:17);

17 HIS strength encouraged me and delivered me from my enemies, who hate me:

18 Jehovah advanced for my support/sustenance in the day of my calamity;

19 just as HE delighted to rescue/pull them out and they came forth to a large-place.

20 Jehovah has restored me according to HIS Justification - and I am repaid according to the purity of my hand.

21 though some leaders of men (elohim) condemned me, I have preserved the way of Jehovah;

22 though some turned away from the verdicts of YOUR statutes, 

23 I have preserved myself to be blameless from all iniquities:

24 Jehovah has restored me according to HIS Justification, and according to the purity of my hand in their eyes.

25 A valiant-man who shows kindness to Pious man shall ended up being blameless/without blemish.

26 if you purify a thing, it shall be pure and if you twist it, it shall be distorted (2Sam 22:27)

27 the poor out of my people will be saved but highly raised eyes shall be humiliated.

28 Jehovah of elohim has enlightened me, just as lamp shine in the darkness;

29 as for those leaders of men (elohim); their troops/army ran and leapt over the wall:

30 the words of Jehovah is refined and is like a shield to a main-leader who takes refuge in them and is blameless on the way - 

31 Is it that sharp rock is less expensive/is at low-cost for the leaders of men (elohim)? Because, Who is the Extremely Mighty ONE (Eloahh eloahh) besides Jehovah? 

32 there shall be a Given Main-leader, who will be blameless on the way, and will be helped with resources/force. 

33 just like the feet of a female-deer, He will equally stand upon high place - 

34 - in His hands, our arms will learn/be trained to rest from battles of steel-bows. (2Sam 22:35)

35 a shield shall be given from the Right Hand and all round salvation will uphold us and multiply our humility;

36 while some totter/stumble by their ankles, our pace shall be broadened - (2Sam 22:37)

37 - - we shall pursue, overtake, bring our enemies to an end and be restored. 

38 even though, we have fallen down and get wounded, we can rise up on our feet;

39 even though, we have been subdued/brought on our knee, we shall rise up and be helped with resources/force for the battle :

40 at cross-roads/junction, we have given things on our napes/back on our neck to the enemies who hate us.

41 I cried to Jehovah to save me, and HE answered me:

42 I was playing and laughing on the dust of the earth outside, when they were emptied out like miry-clay in the presence of The SPIRIT. 

43 my people would have escaped from the contention with the heathen-nation, if they had known, they could serve them and my people will be set as head (masters).

44 all the news from the children of foreign land are untrue, when you hear with your ears:

45 the children from the foreign land will wilt/be made vile, because they could suddenly jump over/digress from the framework:

46 in Jehovah of elohim is our sharp rock. All the living creatures will bless and exalt the Extremely Mighty One for HIS all round salvation;

47 there shall be a Given main-Leader (El), who will SPEAK for the vengeance of my people; - (cf:2Sam 22:48 read--the main-leader (El) will descend....) 

48 He will rise up and be exalted to deliver men from violence and to escape from their enemies.

49 singers shall hold out hands in worship to the Name, Jehovah, among the heathen-nations;

50 WHO will have done kindness to king David and will amplify HIS salvation to the posterities under HIS Messiach as far as to eternity.
