Job 17
Job's fourth reaction continues...
Oh, the SPIRIT (of God); as at this day, everyone bound in the grave are raging/angry.
Why is my eyes embittered by mockery from those who are just staying overnight with me?
who put hands to clap as they intermix;
whose brains are exalted but their emotions/feelings are concealed,
friends that frankly declare to their sons, a portion that will finish up in their own eyes:
- people who present a byword/parable of contemptuous-rejection of Topheth (2king 23:10, Jer 7:31) in my presence;
If eyes become dull/dim under a shade, there will be a vexation about its formation/how it was shaped;
when a hypocrite is stirring up/awakening the upright, the innocent ones will be appalled/devastated:
If the Righteous is seized on the way, the purity of his hand will add to his inner-strength/bravery:
you came to restore me, but on the contrary, you find out, I am a wise man;
because, from the day you cross over, it is like you plot to disconnect my inner-heart from my possession/authorized things.
the darkness of the night and the light of the daytime are put near in my face;
my households are expecting me to spread my bed in the darkness of sheol/hades;
when father and mother, and sisters that breed/raised him up will be calling out unto the pit.
is there hope here now? There is hope of fortified walls, - -
- - apart from descending into the dust of the earth, there will be restfulness in the sheol/hades, all together.
