MARK Chapter 12

Mark 12

The Parable of wicked farmers on a leased farmland

1. And He starts to preach to them in parables. A man plants a vineyard, and places a fence around it, and digs wine receptacle, and also, builds a tower, and lease it to farmers, and travels on a long journey.

2 and he sends a servant towards the farmers at a set time, at least to take from the fruits of the vineyard from the farmers.

3 but they take that same servant, beat him, and send him away empty.

4 and again he sends another servant towards them, and likewise to this one, they (throw stones), strike on the head, and maltreat him.

5 and he sends another, and likewise to this, they kill; and many others, whom indeed they beat, and whom they killed.

6 He still has one beloved son, whom himself sends at the latter end toward them, saying, they will respect my son.

7 but, the same farmers say towards themselves that, this is the heir: come here, kill him, and his heirship will be ours.

8 and they take hold of (him), and drive him outside the vineyard, and kill him.

9. What will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come even to destroy the farmers, and give the vineyard to others.

10 haven't you even read this scripture? The stone which the builders reject, this will happen to be at the head of the corner (Angle);

11 this will happen from the SUPREME God, and it will be marvelous in our eyes. (Ps 118:22-23)

12 and they seek to arrest Him, but they fear the crowd; because , they know that the parable was spoken towards them. And they leave him, and go away.

Tempting Jesus with tax payments 

13 and they sends some Pharisees and Herodians (partisan of Herod) towards Him, to at least, entrap Him by His words.

14 and they come, to tell Him, Master, we are aware and it is true that You do not care about any man; for, You do not look unto appearance of men, but teaches the way of God upon truth. Is it lawful to give tax to Caesar or not to give or never to be given?

15 and being aware of their hypocrisy, He tells them, why testing Me? Bring a penny (denarius), at least for Me to see.

16 so they bring it. And He tells them, whose icon is this, and the inscription? and they tell Him, Caesar.

17 and Jesus tells them, give back to Caesar, the things of Ceasars, and things of God to God. And they wondered upon Him.

Jesus teaches the Sadducees on the Power of God concerning resurrection 

18 And the Sadduceans come, who says, resurrection from the dead never exist. And they ask Him, saying,

19 Teacher, Moses wrote for us, in case a brother of anyone died, and left behind a wife, and did not leave children, that, his brother would at least take the wife and raised up an offspring for his brother. 

20 there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife, and, died, not leaving an offspring;

21 the second took her, and died, not leaving behind an offspring; even the third in the same way,

22 and the seven (took her) and left no offspring. At last of all, even the woman died.

23 whenever they will be raised up, in the resurrection, whose wife of them will she be? No doubt, the seven had her as wife.

24 Jesus tells them, do not be deceived because of this, you do not know the scripture, not even the miraculous power of God?

25 for, whenever they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor give in marriage; but they will be as the angels in heaven. 

26 However, concerning the dead, that will rise up, haven't you read in the book of Moses, how God spoke to him upon the bush, saying , I AM the God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob? (Ex3:6,15)

27 to many who have been deceived, HE is not God of the dead, but of the living.

Jesus teaches a Scribes on the greatest of Moses' law. (note the difference between philie and agape) 

28 And, one of the Scribes, having heard them disputing, and is aware that He answered them well; come near to ask Him; which one is the foremost of all commandments?

29 Jesus answers, the foremost is; hear oh Israel: the Supreme Lord (Jahh) and our God is ONE Supreme Lord (Jah), 

30 and selflessly-Love the SUPREME God, from everything in your heart, and out of everything in your soul, and out of everything in your mind (deep thought), and out of all your strength. (Deut 6:4-5) [this is the first] 

31 this is the second: selflessly-Love your neighbor as yourself (Lev 19:18), so, no other commandment are great as these. great.

32 and the Scribe tells Him, it is well, Teacher, you have said it upon truth, that HE is ONE, and no other EXIST besides HIM;

33. And to selflessly Love/agapao HIM from everything in the heart, and from all of the understanding, [and from all of the soul] and out of all of the strength; and to selflessly Love ones's neighbors as oneself, is superior in quality to a whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

34 and Jesus, discerned him clearly that he responded prudently, and He says, you are not far away from the Kingdom of God. And no man dare question Him any longer.

Jesus teaches on the word of David about the Adonay 

35 Jesus teaches in the temple and ask the scribes to respond, how was it said, that Christ, will be a Son of David?

36 David himself said in the Holy Spirit, the Supreme LORD (Jah) said to my lord (Eden Adoni), settle down from MY Right Hand, until possibly I put Your enemies under Your feet. (Ps 110:1)

37 David himself call Him lord (Adoni), and from where is He his Son? And many of the crowd hear Him with pleasure. 

Beware of the Pharisees

38 And in His teaching, He says, look away from the Scribes, who desire greetings in town-square and walk around in long fitted gown;

39 even front-row-seat in the synagogue, and a place of honor in a supper-feast;

40 even an outward show of a long prayer: and who devour widows' house, these ones will receive more of all-round judgment.

Giving is not in the quantity/size but the state of the heart 

41 and He settles down, directly opposite the treasury (space for collection boxes), and He looks at the way the crowd throw in coins into the treasury; and many wealthy people throw in so much.

42 and one poor widow comes and throw in two minute-coins (leptons), which is fourth part of an ass (quadrant).

43 and He calls His disciples, and tell them, surely, I tell you, that, this poor widow, throw-in more in quality than all who throw into the treasury.

44 no doubt, all of them, from their abundance throw in, but this (widow) from her penury. she had thrown-in all, as much as she has, even all her means of livelihood.
