Mark 10

The Position of Moses' law on Divorce is that it must be documented or else, the divorce is void. 

1. And He stands up from there and comes into the border line of Judea, even beyond Jordan. And again, the crowd journey together towards Him, and as His habit again, He teaches them.

2 and, the Pharisees come near to tempt Him and ask, if it is lawful for husband to divorce wife. 

3 but He answers and tells them, what did Moses command you?

4 they say, Moses allows a writing/document of divorcement to divorce/fully-dismiss her.

5. But, Jesus tells them, he wrote this commandment for you, towards your hardened-heart.

6 however, away from early time of original creations, the same were created, a male and a female. (Gen1:27, 5:2)

7 by reason of this, a man is to leave his father and mother behind, and adhere towards his wife,

8 and they will be two flesh into one (Gen2:24); therefore they are no longer two flesh but one.

9 therefore, whom God has joined together, a man (Adam) could not separate.

10 and again, the disciples ask Him concerning this in the house.

11 And He tells them, whoever possibly divorce His wife, and marry another, commits adultery upon her.

12 and in case, she divorces her husband, to marry another, she commits adultery. (ref:Matt 5:31 19:7 for full info)

Jesus blesses little children 

13 and they brought little children towards Him, at least to touch them. But, the disciples rebuke them (on evaluation).

14 so, Jesus looked at it, and was much displeased, and tells them, permit the little children to come towards Me, do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

15. Surely, I tell you, whoever do not possibly accept the kingdom of God as the little children, will not at all, enter into it.

16 and He takes them in His arms, place hands upon them, and blesses/speaks well to them.

Jesus teaches a very rich and devoted Judaist young man, Agape/selfless Love (Matt 19:16, Lk 18:18)

17 And as He departs unto the road, one man runs and kneels down towards Him, asking Him, Good Teacher, what at least is to done to inherit eternal Life?

18 But, Jesus tells him, why talking of being good? To be good is nothing to God, except the one of Me. 

19 you are aware of the commandments: do not murder; do not commit adultery; do not steal; do not be a false witness; do not defraud; value your father, and mother. (Ex. 20:12-16, Deut 5:16-20)

20 however, he affirms to the Teacher; I have kept all these things from my youth. 

21. So, Jesus looks on him, and loves him, and tells him, you fall short of only one thing; go away to sell as many things as you have, and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven; and follow Me right here,

22. So, he was sad upon the things said; and went away grieved, for he has many possessions. 

Strong men of God are selfless and see their belongings to be from/for God

23 and Jesus looked all around, and tells His disciples, how impracticable it is for the ones having wealth, to enter into the kingdom of God!

24 and the disciples were amazed upon it. So, Jesus, again responded, and tell them, how fastidious it is, to persuade boys/children upon money matter, to enter into the kingdom of God! 

25. it is easier for a carmel to pass through the orifice of needle than a wealthy man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26 but, they were exceedingly amazed, and said towards themselves, and how can they be saved?

27 Jesus looked on them and says, everything of a strong/able ones are from/for God, but things with strengthless ones are from men and not God.

28 and Peter begins to tell Him, behold, we have left all things and follow you.

29 Jesus says, surely I tell you, no man who have left his households or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children or piece of land, for My sake and for the sake of the gospel; - 

30 - except amid persecution, he shall receive now at this time: his households, the brothers, and sisters, and mother, and children, and farm/fields, in hundred-fold; and in the coming age, an everlasting zoe-Life.

31 But, many people at the latter end shall be the foremost ones, so be the foremost at the latter end (Matt 19:30, 20:16)

Jesus, on His way to Jerusalem predicted His death and resurrection (the third time) 

32. As they were also going up on the way unto Jerusalem, they were amazed as Jesus lead them forward, and they were afraid as they follow Him. And again He brings the twelve near and begins to tell them things that will happen to Him:

33 behold, we are going up unto Jerusalem, and the Son will be betrayed by a man, to the Chief Priests and the Scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and surrender Him to the heathens.

34 they will even mock Him, spit on Him, flog Him and kill Him, but He will rise again amid three days.

Greatness is in humility 

35 Moreover, James and John, who are the two sons of Zebedee approached Him, and tell Him, Master, we want to at least ask, in case, you will do it for us.

36 So, He tells them, what do you want Me to do for you?

37 and they tells Him, give us, at least to sit down in Your Glory, one from Your right hand (best), and one from Your left hand (second best), 

38 so, Jesus tells them, you do not know what you are asking. Can you imbibe the cup (fate) which I will imbibe, or to be baptized by the baptism (death) by which I will be baptized (immersed)? 

39 So, they tell Him, we are able. But, Jesus tells them, the cup (fate) which I will imbibe, you will imbibe; and you will be baptized by the baptism (death) which I will be baptized;

40 but to settle down out of My Right hand, or out of Left hand, is not mine to give, but to whom they are prepared.

41 and, as the ten heard, they began to be much displeased concerning James and John.

42 and Jesus calls them to tell them, you are aware of those that rule over the heathens, who think of exercising-lordship over them; and the great part of them, is by their dominion in exercising authority.

43 But, it will not be that way among you; but whoever possibly wants to become greatest among you, would be your deacon/attendant. 

44 and whoever possibly choose among you to be the foremost, will be a servant to all.

45 for even the Son has not come to be served by men, but to minister, and to give His Soul, as a ransom for the sake of many.

Jesus declares BarTimaeus saved and his eyes open.

46 and they come to Jericho; and as He and His competent disciples, and crowd, are departing away from Jericho: a son of Timaeus, BarTimaeus, a blind, was sitting down beside the road, begging.

47 And having heard that He is Jesus, a Nazarene; he starts to cry out and to say, Jesus, the Son of David, have mercy on me.

48 and many rebuke him, at least to be silent; but he cries out much more, the Son of David, have mercy on me.

49 and Jesus stand still, and speak to call him. And they call the blind, telling him, have courage; rise up, He calls you.

50 and he rises up, throws off his robes and comes towards Jesus.

51 and Jesus answered and asks him, what do you want Me to do? So, the blind tells Him, Rabboni, at least, to recover sight.

52 and Jesus tells him, go away, your faith has saved you. And he recovers his sight immediately, and follow Him on the way.
