Acts 18

Paul meet, Aquila and Priscilla at Corinth (in Greece) 

1 Amid these things, he departed from Athens, and came to Corinth (in Greece),

2 and having found a certain Jew, named Aquila (eagle), a native of Pontus, and Priscilla his wife, who recently came from Italy (in Europe), because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome; he drew near to them.

3 And because of being of a similar trade (craft work), he stays with them to work; because they are tent-makers by trade.

4 however, he discussed in the synagogue on all Sabbaths, persuading the Jews and Greeks.

Paul alone is to Preach at Corinth where he determines to now focus on the gentiles

5 However, both Silas and Timothy were pre-occupied/continue to come down from Macedonia, so, Paul, earnestly testifies the word to the Jews that, Jesus is the Christ.

6 but, they oppose him and blaspheme, so he shook off his garments, and says to them, I am clean. Your blood be upon your head. From now, I will travel to the heathen-races.

7 And moving from there, he enters into the house of a certain man named Titus the Justus (Just), who revere God, whose house adjoin to the synagogue.

8 Also, Crispus, the synagogue ruler, have Faith unto the Lord, together with all his household, and many Corinthians who listen, have Faith, and were baptized. (1Cor 1:14)

The Lord Jesus spoke in a vision to encourage Paul in Corinth (You are not alone)

9 Moreover, the Lord says through a vision in the night to Paul: fear not, but preach, and never be silent,

10 because I Am with you, and nothing imposed/laid on you will harm you, because My people are many in this city.

11 So, he settles down for a year and six months, to teach the word of God among them.

12 Moreover, (as) Gallio was a Roman deputy officer of Achaia (Greece in Europe), the Jews unanimously stood against Paul, and lead him to judgment seat,

13 saying, this people incites men to worship God besides/against the law (of Moses).

14 however, (as) Paul was about to open up his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, oh Jews, if indeed there is a certain wrong-doing or harmful reckless behaviours, I will possibly bear with you according to the matter;

15 but, if it is a question about matters of names, and according to your law, see to it, I am not willing to be a Judge of those things.

16 And he dismisses them from the judgment seat.

17 so, they take hold of Sosthenes (of safe strength), the synagogue-ruler, and beat him in front of the judgment seat. And nothing of all these is of interest to Gallio.

From Corinth, Paul alone returns to Antioch, leaving Priscilla and Aquila in Ephesus 

18 Moreover, competent Brethren still stay further for days. And Paul together with Priscilla and Aquila, takes leave and depart by ship unto Syria (Asia region), and he shaves his head in Cenchrea (port of Corinth), because he had a vow of votive-obligation.

19 moreover on coming unto Ephesus, he also enters into the synagogue to discuss with the Jews, however, he will also be leaving them behind there.

20 but upon asking him to stay over for longer space of time, he did not consent.

21 but he takes leave, and says, God willing, I will return again to you, + I must do the coming feast in Jerusalem+. And he sails away from Ephesus.

22 and having ascended unto Caesarea, he went down to greet the Church, and descended unto Antioch (in Syria)

Paul alone travels to Galatia and Phrygia

23 and he further support/strengthen the disciples for a certain space of time, having done all, he traveled to Galatian region and thereafter proceeded forth to Phrygia (Asia Minor),

Aquila and Pricilla in Ephesus assisted Apollos, who was still preaching things of John the Baptizer

24 Moreso, there was a certain Jew, named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, who came to Ephesus, a capable man, an orator/fluent in Scriptures.

25 He has been instructed (cathechized) in the way of the Lord. And being fervent (hot) in the spirit, he preaches and teaches accurately concerning Jesus, but only acquainted with the baptism of John, 

26 and, as he begins to speak boldly in the synagogue, even Priscilla and Aquila listened, and they accepted him, and accurately expound the way of God to him.

Apollos traveled to Greece

27 Moreover, he is willing to travel unto Achaia (Greece), and the Brethren write to urge the disciples to welcome him, who having arrived, converse with many to have Faith through Grace.

28 for, he strongly deeply-check/control the Jews publicly, by showing through the scriptures that, Jesus is the Christ.
