Acts 19
Paul is not alone in remote part of Ephesus; he was fully backed up by the Holy SPIRIT
Moreover, Apollos happens to be in Corinth (in Greece), and Paul traveled and come to a more remote SECTION of Ephesus (in Asia), and find certain disciples,
and he said towards them, if you have believed, have you received the HOLY SPIRIT? (They also say) towards him, but we have never heard, if there is Holy SPIRIT.
and he said, unto who were you baptized then? They also say, unto John baptisma.
Paul says, howbeit, John told the people, of a baptisms unto repentance, and to have Faith unto Jesus, Who is coming to baptize them at least with THIS (SPIRIT) [Jh 1:33]
So, having heard him, they were baptized unto the Name of the Lord Jesus.
And Paul lays hand on them, and the Holy-SPIRIT comes upon them; and they preach and prophecy in tongues/languages.
Moreover, all were about twelve fellow-men.
Moreso, he enters into the synagogue, and frank in utterance upon three months, discussing and persuading, concerning the kingdom of God.
Paul stops using synagogue; move to a lecture hall
as certain persons are also stubborn and unbelieving, who are speaking evil of the WAY in the face of the multitude. They however depart away from them, and separate the disciples apart, with respect to days, in Tyrannus-school/lecture hall, to discuss thoroughly.
and this happen upon two years, in so much that all dwellers of Asia Minor heard the words of the Lord, the Jews and even the Hellenes (non-Jews).
Mighty Miracles in Ephesus
in addition, God does extraordinary (unusual) Mighty deeds, through the hands of Paul,
in so much that, towel/napkins or apron, is carried away from his skin to the sick people and diseases depart from them, even evil-spirits get out.
Exorcists and son of a chief-priest attempt to adjure demons instead of casting them out
Moreover, even certain Jewish exorcists, who wander around, do undertake to name/invoke the name of the Lord Jesus upon those who have evil-spirits, by saying, we PUT you on OATH, by Jesus, whom Paul proclaims.
there was also a son of the chief-priest, who did this thing on certain person by SEVEN/complete/guaranteed tools (skeuas for dybbuk) of the Jews.
but, the evil spirit answered and told him, Paul indeed know Jesus; but, who are you acquainted with/stand upon?
And the man, in whom is the evil-spirit, leapt upon him, and exercised both lordship and force over him, in so much that he flee out of that house naked and wounded.
moreover, this become well known to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus, and fear fell upon them all, and they make the Name of the Lord Jesus great.
in addition, many of those who believe came, professing and declaring their habitual practices,
the skilful ones who also practise curious-art, bring together their books and burn them down before everybody. And they computed their price, and find it to be myriads (ten thousands) of five silver coins.
the dominion of the Lord grows up, and (we) likewise prevail according to the word.
Paul proposed his evangelical visit, and God disposes
Moreover, having traveled through Macedonia and Achaia (in Greece), Paul discern in the spirit, that he would travel unto Jerusalem, saying, amid things (that would) happens to me there, I must be at Rome (strength-the capital of Italy), and as he put/position these things, they are fulfilled.
so, he sent Erastus (beloved) unto Timothy, for the two to be ministering in Macedonia, and he will hold on unto Asia for a space of time.
Paul at Ephesus; a terrific experience like a gladiator, fighting human-beast (1Cor 15:32)
Moreso, with respect to that time, not a small tumult was generated concerning the WAY.
for, certain person named Demetrius, a silversmith, who make silvery shrine of Artemis (Grecian goddess-Diana), affording the craftsmen, not a little business;
to whom fellow men convene together, and concerning things of that kind, and say: you are acquainted with this occupation, that our wealth is from it.
and look, we hear that, it is not only in Ephesus, but nearly in all Asia, that, this Paul, is persuading competent crowd to turn away, saying that, things generated through hands are not god,
however not only will this jeopardize us, but even the sector will come into disrepute and those of the great goddess of Artemis temple are about to be reckoned as nothing and her majesty deposed, whom the whole Asia and the world adore.
having heard it, they even become full of fierceness, screaming, and saying, great is the Artemis of Ephesians.
and they fill up the city, rushing unanimously with commotion into the theatre, and catch Gaius and Aristarchus (best ruling) a Macedonian and a co-traveller with Paul.
Paul was willing to enter into the public space; howbeit, the disciples would not let be for him .
even a certain Chief of Asia (AsiArch), being his friend, send message to him, and urge him not to give himself up into the theatre.
some indeed therefore scream on others, for others in the assembly (church) were confused, and majority were not aware on what account, they had convened
So, the Jews concluded to push Alexander forward from the crowd, and Alexander beckon with his hand, and determined to plead to the public/municipal.
so, (as) they recognized that he is a Jew, they generated one voice out of all, for like over two hours; screaming: great is Artemis of Ephesians.
So, the town-clerk quell the crowd, by saying, fellow-men of Ephesians, no doubt, is there a man, who does not know the city of the Ephesians to be for temple-servants of great Artemis, which was SKY-FALLEN (from Jupiter).
therefore, this thing is indisputable. So, it is necessary for you, being its possessor to calm down, and practise nothing rash.
for, you neither bring this man as a temple-robber nor for blaspheming our god,
therefore, if indeed, Demetrius, together with his craftsmen has a matter toward someone, there is a proconsul/representative, to whom they bring market-vendors who accuse one another.
however, if you enquire for anything beyond, it will be further solved in legal-assembly (church).
for we are in jeopardy of being accused, concerning this standing/insurrection of today. Because, nothing is a cause around the (ring-leader), and we cannot deliver an account/word concerning this commotion,
having said this thing, the assembly (church) was dismissed.
