JOHN Chapter 21

John 21

Peter still went back to his former business 

1. In the midst of making Himself manifest to the disciples. This Jesus again manifest upon the sea of Tiberias, in this way.

2. Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, and Nathaniel from Cana of Galilee, the two (sons) of Zebedee's and another of His disciples were together at the same place. 

3. And, Simon Peter told them, I am going to catch fish. They tells him, we will also go together with you. They proceeds out and embarks unto a ship, and in that same night, they caught nothing. 

Jesus eats in the newly established kingdom of heaven among men on earth

4. Moreover, it happens to be morning already, and Jesus stood on the shore; but the disciples indeed, did not know that He is Jesus.

5. Jesus then tells them, children, (immature Christians), do you have something eatable? They answers Him, No.

6. So, He tells them, cast the net into the right side section of the ship, and you will find fishes. Then, they throw it, and the multitude were not of strength, to drag it out. 

7. Then, that disciple, whom Jesus loves, tells Peter, He is the Lord. Having heard, that, He is the Lord; then Simon Peter tied a wrapper, for he was naked, and throw Himself into the sea.

8. But, others in a little boat, also came to the disciples to drag the fish-net, because they were not far away from the ground, about two hundred cubits (fore-arm) away. ,

9. Then, as they disembark unto the ground, they saw fire of coals, laid up, salted dried fish laid upon it, and loaves of bread.

10. Jesus tells them, now, bring, out of the fish which you have caught.

11. Then, Simon Peter went up, to drag the net unto the ground. The mega part is that, it was full of a hundred and fifty-three fishes: and being so vast/large as this, the net did not tear.

12. Jesus tells them, come here to have breakfast. None of the disciples dared question Him, Who are You? For they are aware that, He is the Lord.

13. Jesus comes and takes the bread and give them, and the cooked fish, likewise.

14. This is the third time that Jesus will manifest to the disciples, even now that He has been raised up out of the dead.

Jesus teaches Peter selfless-love (agape) instead of racial, selfish, limited friendly love (phileo) that Moses' law taught him

15. When they have taken the meal, Jesus asked Simon Peter, Simon (son) of Jonas, do you selflessly-Love (Agapao) Me more than these (food)? the same Peter says, Yes, Lord; You are aware that I like (phileo) You. And the Lord says, feed My lambs.

16. The Lord asks again, the second time, Simon, son of Joanas, do you selflessly-Love (agapao) Me? The same Peter says, Yes, Lord; You are aware that I like (phileo) You. And the Lord says, Tend (supervise/shepherd) My sheep.

17. The Lord asks, the third time, Simon Jonas, do you Like (philei) Me? Peter was sad because He asks, the third time; did you like (phili) Me? And he tells the Lord, You know all things; You absolutely know that I like (philo) You. Jesus tells him, Feed My sheep.

Jesus adviced Peter, sometimes, you may not have choice or things will not go as you want or think; so, be quick to do your own assessment on time

18. Surely and Amen, I tell you, when you were young, you could belt up yourself, and walked about to where you want; but whenever you grow old, you will stretch forth your hand, and another will belt up for you, and may lead you to wherever you do not want.

19. He also said this, to signify, what kind of death He has glorified God with. Having said that, He told them, follow Me. 

Jesus warned Peter to mind his business

20. Peter turned around and looked at the disciple, whom Jesus loved, following them; the one who even lean back upon His chest at the supper, as he asked the Lord, who is he that will betray You?

21. Having seen him, Peter moreover asks Jesus, Lord; what of this man?

22. Jesus tells him, if I want him to stay till I come, what is that towards you? Oh, for you! Follow Me. 

23. Then, this words proceed forth unto the brethren, that the same disciple will not die. But, Jesus did not say that he will not die; but, in case, I want him to stay until I come, how is that towards you?

Conclusion by John, the beloved. 

24. This is the disciple who has been testifying concerning these things, and wrote these things: and is aware that evidence given by him is True.

25 Moreover, there are even many other things which Jesus did, which in case each event should be written down, imagine the world is a book, it will not even have space for things to be written.
