Mark 6
Familiarity breeds contempt and unbelief in the people ofNazareth.
1. And He proceeds from there, and comes unto His native town, and His disciples follows Him.
2. And on a Sabbath day, it happens that, He starts to teach in the synagogue; and very many people who heard Him were astonished, saying, from where are these things, and where is this wisdom given to this Man, even this kind of miraculous power, happening through His hands?
3. Is this not the artificer/carpenter? The son of Mary, and the brother of James, Joses (Joseph) and Judas and Simon? Even, is His sister not close to us, and they stumble into apostasy in Him.
4. And Jesus tells them, that Prophet is not without honor, except in his father's land, and by His relatives, and by His households.
5 And He was not able to do, not even one mighty-deed, there. Except by laying hands on a few sick-folks, to minister healing to them.
6. And he wondered because of their unfaithfulness. And He walks round and teach all round-about the village.
Industrial Training for the 12 students/disciples
7. And He summons the twelve to Himself, and start to send them two by two, and give them authority (delegated influence) over unclean spirits.
8. And instructed them to take at least nothing unto the journey, if at all, only a staff; no bread, no bag, and no coins in their belt;
9. but put on sandals, and do not put-on two tunics (shirts),
10. and tells them, whichever house, perhaps you enter; abide there, until possibly you proceed forth from there.
11. And which ever place, that do not possibly accept you, or do not even listen to you, depart from there, shake off the heap of dust, down-under your feet, unto a testimony against them - [+surely I tell you, Sodom or Gomorrah will be more endurable in judgment day, than those towns+] .
12. and they proceeds forth, preaching, at least, (for them) to repent (think differently/reconsider).
13 and they cast out many demons, and anoint the sick with olive oil even to minister healing.
John the Baptizer beheaded
14. And king Herod heard; no doubt the Name happens to be shining, and he said, John who baptized has waken from the dead, and because of that, the miraculous-power is active in Him
15. And others say, He is Elijah; others also say, He is a Prophet, like one of the prophets.
16. So, Herod heard, and said, John, whom I beheaded, oh, the same is risen!
17. For, Herod himself, had sent, seized John, and bound him in prison, because of Herodias (women of Herod family), the wife of Philip, his brother, that he married.
18. John therefore told Herod, that it is not lawful for you to have the wife of your brother.
19. And Herodias hold a grudge in herself and determine to kill him, but could not:
20. No doubt, Herod feared John, knowing him as a righteous man who maintains/coordinates holy things. And he was perplexed to hear of many things by him and hear them with pleasure.
21 but, it happens to be an opportune day, when Herod organize supper on his birthday for his Grandees (great lords), commander of a thousand soldiers (chilliarch), and foremost/chief men of Galilee.
22. And Herodias' daughter entered, and row a dance, which is pleasing to Herod and those sitting at the table; (so the king) told the girl, ask me, whatever in case you desire, and I will give it to you.
23. and he swore to her, that whatever you ask me, I will give you, even up to half of my kingdom.
24. And she proceeded forth, to tell her mother, what to ask? Howbeit, she said, the head of John, the baptizer.
25. And, she immediately entered with haste towards the king and asked, saying, I desire at least, that you give me the head of John the baptizer upon a plate instantly.
26. And the king becomes very sorrowful. By reason of the oath and those sitting at table, he did not choose to reject it.
27. And, the king immediately order and sent out, the military scout/spy to bring forth his head. And they went off, to behead him in the prison.
28. And they carried his head upon plate and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother.
29. And having heard it, his disciples came and took up his body, and laid it in a tomb.
Apostles returned to defend their Industrial Training and the Master recommend good Rest or "sabbath" for them. (be in charge of your rest).
30. And the Apostles convened towards Jesus, and announced to him all things, as much as they have taught and as much things they did.
31. Because, many are those coming and those going, and there is not even a convenient time to eat. So, He told them, come here yourselves, privately on your own, down into the desert place, and rest a little.
32. And they went off in the boat down into the desert place on their own.
Feeding more than 5000 men by multiplying the little food available.
33 And many people from the city, recognized, having seen them going away, and all the people went ahead of them, and rush there together by feet, (coming together towards Him).
34. and as He came out and saw many crowd, He has His bowel yearn (splanchnizomai) upon them, in that, they were like sheep, who is not having a Shepherd, and He commences to teach them many things.
35. And, it happens to have been many hours already, so, His disciples approach Him, saying, this is a desert place, and it has been for so much hours already;
36. Dismiss them, at least to go away into farm-field around and villages, to buy something to eat for themselves, (because, they do not have what to eat).
37. So, He answers and tells them, you, give them (something) to eat. And they tell Him, shall we go away and buy two hundreds denarii (ten asses) of loaves of bread, and give them to eat?
38. However, He tells them, go and know how many loaves you have? And, they see and say, five (loaves), and two fishes.
39. He orders them all to recline, company by company, upon greenish grass.
40. They settle down, like hundreds and like fifties, lawns by lawns
41. And He receives the five loaves and two fishes, look up into heaven and speaks well/blesses (eulogio), break the loaves, and gives His disciples, at least, to be set (paratithemi) before them, and the two fishes to be shared to all.
42. And everybody eat, and were satisfied.
43 And they take up, from the broken-pieces and fishes, even twelve small-baskets full.
44. And, it has been Five thousands men, who ate of the loaves of bread.
Jesus always pray privately

45. And immediately, till He will fully-dismiss the crowd, He compelled His disciples to embark unto a boat, and go before Him unto the other side, towards Bethsaida.
46. He bid them farewell and goes unto the mountain to make prayer.
JESUS walks on the sea (Peter's part of the story is omitted)
47 It happens to be evening, and the boat was in the middle of the sea, and only Him has been upon land.
48. And He was aware of them being tortured, in rolling/rowing, for, wind has been antagonistic to them. He determined to comes towards them at the fourth watch of the night (10 pm), by walking upon the sea and He was about to pass near them.
49. And they see Him walking upon the sea and think, it were a phantasm (ghost), and they scream.
50 for, all of them saw Him and were agitated. And immediately, He preached amid this, telling them; fear not, be daring/courageous, It is Me.
51 and He goes up into the boat towards them, and the wind ceased. And in and out of themselves, they were more exceedingly amazed.
52. For, they do not comprehend upon the loaves of bread. On the contrary, they had been of hardened (porous) heart.
@genNesaret, many are saved by touching Jesus and got healed.
53. And they go over the land, coming towards Gennesaret (kinnereth) and anchor the boat.
54. He proceeds out of the boat, and immediately, they recognized Him,
55. And those people walk round all the region, and they begin to carry about,upon beds, those who have diseases, because, they have heard of where He is.
56. And wherever, He enters, into villages or into cities or into fields, they will place those who are feeble, in their town-squares, beseeching Him at least, even if they can touch the fringe of His garment; and as many that possibly touch Him were saved.
