Mathew 14

John the Baptizer beheaded

1 In that day, Herod (heroic) Tetrarch (ruler of fourth part of a country) hears the fame of Jesus,

2 and tells his servants, this is it, He is John the baptizer, who has risen from the dead, and through this, the miraculous power is active in him.

3 No doubt, Herod had seized John, bound and put him in prison, because of Herodias, the wife of Phillip, his brother.

4 because, John tells him, it is not lawful for you to have her.

5 and wishes to have killed him, but fear the multitude, because they hold on to him as a prophet.

6 Moreover, it happened to be Herod's birthday, and Herodias' daughter was brought to dance in their midst, and Herod was pleased;

7 from there, with oath, he confessed to give her, whatever in case, she asked.

8 but she was instigated under her mother, to say, give me the head of John the baptizer, here upon a plate.

9 And the king was grieved;  but he ordered it to be given, because of the oath and those sitting down at the table, .

10 And  he dispatched to, behead John in the prison.

11 And they carried his head upon the table, and give to the daughter, and she carried it to her mother.

12 And his disciples came near, took away his body, and bury him; and came to tell Jesus.

Miracle food that feed five thousands men plus 

@ a place in the desert from Nazareth 

13 Moreover, Jesus heard it and withdraws from there in a boat into a desert place on His own. And the crowd heard and follow Him on feet from the town.

14 And, He stares at the great crowd, and He has His bowel yearn (splagchnizomai) upon them, and proceed forth to minister healing to their sicknesses.

15 Moreso, it happens to be evening, and the disciples approach HIM, saying, this place is a desert, and hours had already past. Dismiss the crowd, at least to go away into the village.

16 But, Jesus tells them, they have no need to go away, you give them (things) to eat.

17 So, they tell Him, we do not have (food) here, if at all, five loaves of bread and two fishes.

18 And, He said, bring them to Me here, 

19 and He bids the crowd to sit down upon the ground. Having taken the five loaves and two fishes, He looks up unto heaven, break and speaks well/blesses them, and gives the loaves to his disciples, and, from disciples to the crowd. (law of distribution) 

20 All people eat and are satisfied; and they take up excess pieces of twelve small baskets full.

21 However, those who have eaten were about five thousands men, apart from women and children.

Jesus prays alone: To be like Him, you do like Him

22 and He immediately compel His disciples to embark unto a boat, unto the other side and go before Him, till He dismisses the crowd.

23 And having dismissed the crowd, He goes up unto the mountain to make Prayer on His own. And He happens to be there alone. And it is evening.

Jesus walks on the sea and command Peter to do likewise 

24 Nevertheless, the boat has been long distance away already from the ground, receiving full torment under waves, because, wind (was) antagonistic.

25  moreover, by the fourth watch of the night (4 am), He goes away to them, walking on the sea.

26 and the disciples, who see Him walking on the sea, were agitated, saying, it is a show of phantasm/ghost; and out of fear, they scream. 

27 And Jesus immediately,  preaches to them, saying, have courage, it is Me, never fear.

28 So Peter answers Him, and says: Lord, if it is You, order me to come to You upon the water.

29 And He said: come. So, Peter steps down from the boat, and walks upon the water, coming towards Jesus.

30 but, looking at the boisterous wind, he was frightened, and start to sink. He screams, saying, Lord, saves me.

31 And, immediately, Jesus, stretched out his hand, take hold of him, and tells him, little-believer (lacking in confidence); unto what (do you) doubt (duplicate/hesitate)?

32 And as He goes up Himself into the boat, the wind relax.

33 Also, those in the boat worship (prostrate) Him, saying, oh tuly, You are Son of God!

Many people touches Jesus and were both saved and healed by their Faith 

@Gennesaret

34 And on sailing over, He comes upon the land of Gennesaret (kinnereth lake and plain).

35 And having recognized Him, the men of that place send unto all surrounding region, and bring to Him all who have diseases.

36 And beseech Him, at least, only to touch the hem of His garment; and as many that touch Him are saved all through.
