Luke 21

Giving is not in the size but the state of the heart 

1 Moreover, He looks up and sees wealthy ones casting their offerings unto the treasure box.

2 so, He sees a certain widow who toil for daily needs, and cast two small coins (lepta) there.

3 And He says, truly I tell you, that this widow, cast in, more in quality than all;

4 for all these ones, cast into the offering from their abundance; but she, out of her poverty, cast all livelihood she has.

Jesus predicted end time-destruction of Jerusalem temple 

5 And some persons were speaking concerning the temple, in that, it is decorated with beautiful stones by set aside/votive-offerings (anathema): and He says,

6 you have seen these things, (but) a day is coming in which no stone here will be left upon (another) stone which will not be demolished.

Jesus finally gives the signs of the end time 

7 So, they question Him, saying, Teacher, at what time then, will this thing be, and what will be the sign when this is about to happen?

8 And He says, take heed never to be deceived; for many will come in my name, saying, it is me, even as the time draw near. Never go after them.

9 so, when you hear of warfare and commotions, never be frightened, for these things must happen first, but the ultimate end is not immediately.

10 Then, He tells them, Nation will rise upon nation, and kingdom upon kingdom;

11 the mega part in addition is that, earthquake, scarcity of food and plagues will be throughout places, there will be fear-mongers also, and there will be great supernatural-signs from heaven.

Jesus predicted immediate persecution of His disciples/followers before the end time signs.

12 but before all these things, they will persecute you upon their synagogues, and lay hands upon you, and bring you before kings and governors because of My Name and you will be delivered into prison;

13 and to you, it shall result/turn out unto a testimony.

14 therefore, put into your heart, never to premeditate how to excuse/plead for yourself;

15 No doubt, I will give you the wisdom and the mouth which all of your adversary can not even oppose, nor contradict or gainsay (antepo). 

16 but, you shall be surrendered by parents and brothers and relatives and friends; even some from you will be killed.

17 and you will be hated by all because of My Name.

18 but a hair of your head, will not at all perish,

19 and, in your hopeful patience, you will purchase/acquire your soul.

Sign of the antiChrist/antiLord at the end-time destruction of Jerusalem 

20 Moreover, whenever you see Jerusalem being surrounded under army, then know that her desertion/desolation has approached.

21 then, those in Judea, will flee to mountains; and those in the middle of her will depart/relocate, and those in the territory will not enter into her;

22 For these are the days of revenge, to fulfill all things written.

23 Alas to those having child in their womb, and those offering breast-feed in those days for the necessities on this people and there will be great wrath upon the earth. 

24 And they will fall down by the edge of dirks/sword, and be led away captive into non-Jewish nations; even all Jerusalem shall be trampled under heathen-nations, until that set-time of heathen-nations is fulfilled.

1000 years reign of the Son predicted 

25 And there will be signs by the sun and moon and stars and by echoes/roaring noise of waves of the sea upon the earth, the connectedness of which will be in bewilderment of heathen-nations.

26 Men will melt away/faint from fear of anticipation/apprehension of things to supervene/come-upon the earth; no doubt, the powers of the sky will be shaken

27 and then, they will see the Son, coming to men in the cloud with Power and very much glory. 

28 so, as these things begin to happen, arise and lift up your heads, because your full-redemption draws near.

Parable of Fig tree

29 And He tells them a parable: discern from the fig-tree and all the trees:

30 whenever they are already shooting forth (new leaves) from themselves, you look and know, that summer (heat) is already near.

31 And likewise you, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

32 I tell you, and so shall it be, that this generation will not pasd away until everything will possibly happen.

33 The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will not at all, pass away.

Be vigilant and look out for these signs

34 So, be cautious yourselves, not to ever burden your heart in binge/excessive indulgence in drunkenness, and care of present needs of living; such that, the day will come upon you unawares. 

35 for, as a trap will it supervene upon all those sitting upon the surface of all the earth.

36 So, be vigilant/sleepless at all times, and pray at least, to prevail and escape all these things which is about to happen to men, and to be counted worthy to stand before the Son. 

37 However, He has been in the temple teaching by the daytime, so He proceeds forth by night and passes the night in a mountain called Olivet.

38 And all the people rise up at dawn towards Him in the temple to hear Him.
