Mathew Chapter 20

Mathew 20

The Parable of 5 pm/eleventh hour labourers: where the last but effective workers share equally with the foremost but redundant workers (11)

No doubt, the kingdom of heaven is like a man, who is a despot of a house, and get out at dawn (6am) to hire labourers at the same time into his vineyard.

so, having agreed together with the labourers on a denarius per day. He sends them into his vineyard.

he gets out also at the third hour (9am), and see others standing in the town-square unemployed;

and he tells them, go hence into the vineyard, and I will give you, as a righteous man, what perhaps is for you, and they go away.

Also, he gets out again around sixth (12pm) and ninth (3pm) hour, and did likewise.

however, around the eleventh hour (5pm), he gets out, to find others standing [idle], and tell them, why are you standing here all the day unemployed?

They tell him, no one hire us. He tells them, go hence, even you into the vineyard, and asa righteous man, you will receive what provided is for you.

So, it happens to be evening, and the lord of the vineyard tells his steward, call the labourers, and pay their wages, commence from the lowest up to the foremost.

And coming to those hired about eleventh hour (5pm), they take up a denarius.

and coming to the foremost, they supposed that they should have received more, and they take up even their own denarius/penny.

but, having received it, they grumble against the Master of the house,

and say, these ones who are the lowest, worked one hour, and you make them equal to us, who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.

So, he answers to one of them,  and says, clan-man, I do not wrong you. Was it not a denarius you agreed together with Me?

take your own, and go away. However, I choose to give to these lowest ones, even as you.

Is it not lawful for me to do what I choose in mine (vineyard)? Or why is your eye evil because I am good?

and, at the latter end, there will be foremost ones, thus, be the foremost at the latter end; [+ no doubt, many are invited, and few are chosen+.]

@Jerusalem from Judea

Jesus predicted His suffering and resurrection the 3rd time

And Jesus goes up to Jerusalem, together with His own disciples, and on the way, He tells them,

behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son will be betrayed by a man unto the Chief priests and Scribes, and they will condemn Him to death,

and they will betray Him to the heathens, to mock and to flog and to crucify; and He will rise up the third day.

Greatness in the kingdom is by service

the Mother of the sons of Zebedee with her sons, approach Him, and kneel down, even to ask something from Him.

so, He speaks to her, what do you desire? She tells Him, by saying that these my two sons, at least should seat down (be appointed), one out of Your right, and one out of Your left in Your kingdom.

So, Jesus answered and says, you are not aware of what you ask. Are you able to imbibe the cup (fate) which I am about to imbibe?  [+ and to be baptized with the baptism in which I will be baptized? +] And they tell Him, we can.

He tells them, you will drink My cup indeed ; [+ you will be baptized with the baptism which I am baptized +]; but to seat down from My Right, and left, this is not mine to give; but to whom it is prepared under My FATHER.

and the ten (disciples) heard and were displeased about the two brothers.

Moreover, Jesus, invites them, and says, You are aware that rulers of the Heathen nations, exercise lordship over them, and evey the greatest thing is  their exercising of authority.

it will not be this way among you; but whoever in case, chooses to become great among you, will be your servant;

and whoever possibly chooses within you to be foremost (in dignity), will be your servant;

just as the Son has come, not to be served by men, but to serve, and give His soul, a ransom for many.

BarTimaeus with sound knowledge of Jesus as the Son of David was saved abd instantly healed (note: it is a repeated story from Matt 9:27-...)

**@ - Jericho

And as they depart from Jericho, great crowd follow Him.

And behold, a blind, sitting down close to the way, hears that Jesus was passing by, he screams, and say two things, Lord, the Son of David, (have mercy on me).

So, the crowd warned him, at least to be silent. But he screams louder. Saying, Lord, the Son of David, (have mercy on me).

And Jesus stands still and calls him, and said, what do you desire that I do for you?

He tells Him, Lord, at least for my eyes to open.

So, the bowel of Jesus was moved with compassion, and touches his eyes; and he, immediately receive his sight, and follows Him.
